I found a pokemon card at school one day. No clue whose it was or where I came from but everyone was walking over it so I grabbed it and put it in the clear part of my binder. In lunch a special needs kid named Scotty came by and got excited and wanted it. I let him have it and he walked around with that card for the next 3 years of high school and he never forgot about me. He never knew my name but he knew I gave him that card and every time we passed in the hallway or something he would just hold up the card and say thank you. You never know what will mean the world to those kids

My nephew has autism and ADHD. After so many years without friends, he finally ended up at a wonderful high school and made a whole group of friends. He just went to senior prom with a date and a group of 12 friends in a limo. He picked out his suit and looked like a movie star (not biased aunt lol). And he just graduated 2 nights ago. I am so proud of him and so grateful for the kids that showed him kindness and take the time to get to know him and his heart. And I am grateful to see this kindness echoed elsewhere in the younger generations. Here's to leaving the world at least a little bit better than we encountered it.

A lot of autistic people don't like too much physical contact so it could've been that he didn't really want the hug and just hugged her because she wanted it. Idk him so I'm trying not to assume, just saying that it's fairly common for autistic people to not enjoy physical interactions.
@@TheDevilslayer101 so with autistic people it really differs person to person, because not everyone with autism is the same. Some wholesome, some that turn out terrible and really show how messed up some people can be (when they say no and/or completely embarrass, disrespect and devastate the person asking). The fact that she spends time with him everyday and it's not recorded, posted or bragged about says it's not just for attention. She genuinely cares for him. I think it's sweet.
