As much as I love this ride The loop terrifies me. The feeling that u get in your stomach is insane
this ride is my favorite, but the only thing that terrifies me is the possibility of falling off somehow lol
I think this one is probably the hardest to fall off compared to other roller coasters at Six Flags Great Adventure

GET ON IT! It is amazing!! I legitimantly felt like superman in the one scene in man of steel where he flies for the first time... I was laughing the whole time.. It feels amazing

The loop is not scary for me I went on that ride at the exact place bc I live in New York and that Superman ride was awesome but I hate green lantern I kept bumping my head lol

I love this ride! This September, I disused to overcome my fear of rollercoasters and went on Nitro! Yes, Nitro was my biggest rollercoaster I ever went on, and my favorite :). I went on it again, then Batman 4 times, Bizzaro 6 times, Superman 1 time, and Jersey Devil 2 times. The park had like nobody there, but I think everyone was on Superman! Then line was pretty long, all the other rides were very short lines. I wasn’t afraid at all going on this, and it was my first flying coaster too! But there was something I liked about the long line, personally, when going up the lift hill I was able to wave at everyone below! Almost the whole line waved back and that was just awesome in my opinion! And the drop was so cool! I shall green lantern going into the loop, then turned to the left. My dad didn’t know this but, his wallet came flying out on the drop! All of him card scattered on the grass! But anyways, the diving loop thing was extremely intense! My pants went up a little, which made the rest of the ride uncomfortable, and after the diving loop, people were looking at my legs going past them! Then the rest were lots of turns, feels like your flying! Then the barrel roll at the end made everyone on the train scream! Then the break run… I hated it. About my pants, they were shorts, they were uncomfortable durning the wait for the next train to go. We were sitting there for like 5 minutes! The two people next to me and my dad were touching the people in front of us shoes! My blood was rushing to my head also. Then when we were in the station, I was so relieved! I got up and was about to run down the stairs so we can go on Twix until my dad noticed his pockets were empty! He asked the workers if he can go get his stuff and they said no! My dad was really upset, but he hopped the fence anyways and found all of our stuff! Except his sixflags card, but he has his card on his phone, which wasn’t important at all! I had a very fun, and interesting time on Superman. Which is why I love watching videos of Superman! Just to remember the fun time I had on it. (Also great Superman POV!)

Batman is only good in the beginning it was super rough and jerky and I got a head ache.

it's impossible to fall out, even if your restraint is somewhat loose. the operators do a visible scan to ensure safety. there is also a ton of computer sensors that make the ride literally safer than a baby carriage.

I was actually having the Superman: The Animated Series theme play in my head while on this ride. Personally, I recomend having the Superman: The Animated Series play in your head. Or if you want to, try Flight from the Man of Steel soundtrack.
Since I associate this ride with that MOS scene, I'll try Flight. But if I go on multiple times, I'll have the TAS theme play in my head and sing along to it (the lyrics Nostalgia Critic wrote, but I altered.) Or how about the classic John Williams Superman theme (which I also made up lyrics for?) But during my first time on this ride, I'll probably sing "Soulja Boy" (because of "SUPERMAN!" which I'll be yelling during the pretzel loop.)
I sang "I LOVE WHEN YOU FALL DOWN" from the SNL song "Chevy's Girls" during the pretzel loop and then afterwards i was singing "Kryptonite" by Three Doors Down

This ride actually wasn’t as bad as I thought. I thought my voice box wouldn’t function for me to sing or speak, but it turns out that I encourage myself with I Believe I Can Fly. This ride also rocked me to my back, but that actually kinda felt good.
that loop is literally paralyzing because the g-force pushes you into the seat and you are kind of lying down at that point... it was my 1st time on the ride and my wife made me ride the very back of the coaster which made it more terrifying (or awesome for thrill seekers)
For those who love the pretzel loop, please consider trying Tatsu in Six Flags Magic Mountain. It's record breaking at 124ft vs this ride's 78ft. Very addicting experience.

Yes if you ever have been on tatsu at sfmm its like 2 as much as what this one does. iuts because you are getting the g's from the side of your body from laying down instead of getting the g's up and down from sitting up right.

this was ok being face down was uncomfortable it's like i was being hung the pretzel loop wasn't scary in the slightest the bottom actually felt comfortable/relaxing the inline twist reminded me of batman. the kid i was with said "i have been scarred for life" after the ride ended and i told him "it wasn't scary!"

+teeman9266 Ride towards the back next time. The positive g-forces you get on the pretzel loop right after the lift hill are the strongest I've ever felt on any roller coaster. It's a pretty intense few seconds.
+Justin Franks I sat in the back on superman as well, it was more intense than all the other ones I went on
+BruinsCupChampions Isn't that pretzel loop just plain awesome from the back row? I'd estimate it at around 3.5 - 4.0 positive G's for a couple of seconds. But what is really incredible is how astronauts on launch have to deal with similar g-forces, not for just a few seconds, but for several _minutes_. Now *that* is awesome.

this was my first big roller coaster.. my head was hurting and my stomach hurt for a while but then i went on like the dark knight and stuff and you are fine
No but there's too much g-force on the loop. Makes u feel like you're being squashed. Go on batman before this.
This not a too bad of a ride but the best part (or the worst depending on who you are) is that first loop as that is one of the most intense loops i have ever been on. That is one scary loop even if it does not look too bad in the video .
However my actual complaint is that you have to basically exercise the entire ride to not keep completely have your chest touch the seat (my chest is always on it the whole ride).

Everyone seems to have a problem with the loops. I think that the fact that your upside in your seat before the ride even starts helps. They are weird but I knew they were coming so that made it less scary. My neck hurt for like 2 days after that though. So that is one downside. But otherwise its not that bad if you know its coming.
You're not upside down when you first start? You're parallel to the track facing the ground.
