Wish I’d watched this video of yours before replacing my machine today after days of troubleshooting and Watching 20 UA-cam suggestions for my 9 year old Keurig the last week . I have really hard water and use water from refrigerator which is filtered . I’m upset that the purchased the k classic doesn’t have the filter and reading Amazon reviews what they sell don’t fit at all and not really Keurig. Oh I only have used it for water for tea in last year so my trouble shooting that usually works killed it for good. It would say brewing and wasn’t unless I squeezed that little white spout in reservoir . Buying water is going to be costly but most of all I don’t have storage for it. I’m coming to you for any help from now on ! Also what I’ve read is that the K classic doesn’t need a filter and I’m questioning that. Watched several of your videos enjoyed them.
Appreciate the short and very informative video! I read online that the K Select is quieter when brewing in comparison to the K Classic. In your experience, is that true?
I do love the K Select!! I love the design and how it has the strong setting which I absolutely look for in the morning to have a bold cup of ☕. Thank you for sharing!!! ~♡~
You are welcome and thanks so much for your views and for your comments! I'll be doing a side-by-side with it and the K-Elite in the next week or so also, I've gotten a few people asking about that specific comparison already too.
I only have a K-Classic, very well-used. I never liked Keurig coffee at all until I tried many brands of pods, and just like whole bean coffee from a supermarket, Peet's is my favorite. Starbux special blends(way better than their normal products) are excellent too, available at xmas time. Cheers :)
in my experience, the amount of water selected depends on the coffee. I like strong coffee with no bitterness so I had to do quite a bit of taste-testing to come up with the ones I like. I came up with Gevalia Dark Royal Roast (prefer 8oz cup) and Folgers Black Silk (6 oz cup). I also use Cinnabon coffee which is very weak (4 oz cup). I typically mix the Cinnabon coffee with others in the myKcup.
Yeah, all of the machines can operate just fine without the filter in place. Many of the machines don't come with the filter but can accept one if purchased separately.
Definately a good idea to do that but I'm just as bad as others, I don't always wash it out with soap... although I never brew coffee I'm planning on drinking until I at least run a couple water only cycles first.
Me personally I'd buy the K-Select these days. Had you asked me a year ago I'd have opted for the Mini Plus, I actually like them both for different reasons and it's close for me.

Get the K Select now at Bed bath and beyond for $55 much cheaper than usual...
For the K-Select, does it function without the charcoal filter? Been watching you videos and I like the K-Select, but I have a charcoal allergy.

When buy a Keurig with a removable reservoir, do you wash it out with soap and water first?
It’s always good idea to wash first.
@@wendybowman5871 Thanks!

what would you recommend, the K select or the Mini plus? what would you personally pick?
