thank you for the comparison. I didn't want to spend the extra money but was going to get the fan tip anyway. I think I'll go 86CE since this will last me quite a while.
As far as your vibrations on the BG56 you might want to check the 3 screws under the fanwheel that secure the engine to the frame. I've seen them come loose and cause excess vibration. I now use threadlocker on them. Also always use them on the 2 exhaust muffler bolts too.
Im sure you will love the BG86 as I do mate. The only thing I would do is remove the spark arrestor as it reduces power and will end up blocking up with carbon. They rev nice all day long with it removed :) 10 years ago the BG86c was $579 RRP in Australia. All Stihl Power Equipment has dropped in price every couple of years. Happy Mowing
Just bought one today and used it a bit. Seems like a nice unit, lots of power and starts easily. You probably have better fuel in Australia. We have that ethanol shit here in the state's!?!?
I saw the video with legendary landscapes got me thinking about the metal blades we dont really suck up leaves though i will have a need for it though with it being autumn now i mostly use the jet blower its 850cfm but it doesnt suck
Great review. Currently in Aus if you buy some Stihl 2 stroke oil you’ll get 4 years warranty with the 56 instead of the standard 2 years. Disappointing that the 86 isn’t included for this deal. Makes me think they don’t back the engine tune to last as long or the vibration kit might fail?
Yes that has been the case for quite some time I believe. Even when I first started they were doing oil for warranty deals. I think they sometimes change the grade of the oil in the deal but its a good incentive. As far as I knew it applied to commercial machines too? Maybe my dealer is just too nice lol
like the video mate well done..but James go battery mate its another world , come to the other side lol Husky have been great for us from hedgers to whippers blowers chainsaws the smell of two stroke no more ( although 2 stroke in the morning frosty cold was ok lol ) keep the videos coming mate
Cheers mate, I've got a batto blower and whippy now, the blower is great but the whippy sits in the shed cause it's too bottom heavy with the motor at the head. Some of the new stuff looks great though. Definitely keeping a close eye on how the battery world goes
@@JWNLawnCare we have the husvanna whipper as well as all the other stuff , the whipper is a multi tool so no motor at the head raquel to a 25 cc petrol much lighter quieter and easier to use.. good luck
Honestly we don't really use handheld blowers enough to see a noticeable difference. You might get a few minutes more out of the 56 but it wouldn't be tons.
@@JWNLawnCare Hi mate, yeah I went ahead and grabbed a bg86c. You're right, its only about 5-10 minutes. Overall the 86 is a great unit. Anti vibe is the best feature!
I do 60 grasses a week weather permits I bought a cheap weedeater brand blower I think its 170mph 13 years old still good but i did buy a bg 56 today so I'll see if a 180 dollar blower will out last the cheap one to me price dont mean crap

The 86 is a winner I’ve had mine for a while now and it’s a pleasure to use.
Legendary landscaping here: Nice mate it will do you well I love mine

When you remove the arrestor, wouldn't that make the blower sound louder?

86 and 56 are the same power. It doesn't have the anti vibration for longer use
86 has 0.08hp more

How does the run time vary between the two? I noticed the 56 has a Larger fuel tank than the 86 (540mL vs 440mL). Much of a difference?
