Would you vote for a politician who could have a conversation with 45,000 different constituents at the same time? Well, voters in Brighton Pavilion in the United Kingdom recently had the opportunity to vote for AI Steve, the first candidate to run for Parliament supposedly controlled by artificial intelligence. AI Steve is actually the brainchild of entrepreneur Steve Endacott, and acted as a virtual double for himself that can supposedly be there for voters when he physically can’t.
But AI Steve isn’t the first political candidate entirely made from AI. A dude from New Zealand introduced the world’s first virtual politician two years ago. Four years before that, an AI candidate ran to be president of Russia against Vladimir Putin. And this year, another dude tried to run an AI Bot for mayor of an American city.
An AI politician? I’m pretty sure that was an episode of Black Mirror, wasn’t it?

AI is just the beginning of Skynet, just 30 years ago Lasers were a dream, computers that fit in your pocket that can do anything were considered impossible! Self driving cars were only on the Jetsons, even the now defunct Space Shuttle was a Sci-fi dream in Buck Rodgers way before they were real. 😮 If it's Sci-fi today it's reality tomorrow.

To be fair, IF there was a political body that was algorithm based which has all the USA laws built into it to create new ones…. Perhaps we would be better off.
Example: Voters don’t vote, we input arguments and using the arguments of the citizens it serves, it creates a law that would address issues & resolutions that help based on the laws already established maybe even better than real lawyers /scholars.
P.S. I wouldn’t vote for AI politicians, though an AI form of government for the people by the people would eliminate lobbying & shady stock trading

Could do a live stream where people come up with a hypothetical issue then all your constituents(viewers) type solutions then the AI passes a ‘Law’ using the input perhaps. That would be fun / engaging with your viewer base.

Y'all should Neal Shusterman's book called Scythe. It takes place in basically a utopia, and all governments were replaced by a benevolent AI called the Thunderhead.

Actually kind of curious how well an AI would run things. We don't want it for creative industries of course, but organization optimization sounds more in it's wheelhouse.
In Belarus, the opposition ran an Ai candidate called Yas Gaspadar since the bot cannot be put in jail
An AI is completely unaccountable, doesn't know what it's talking about, and will often lie for no good reason. So all in all, it's not too different from an average human politician.

Brighton pavillion is generally Green's safest seat (and their only one before the election, now one of 4). Was their leaders seat before stepping down and passing the role to the new MP. anyway, i reckon having an AI candidate is very specifically targetted against greens
