MOST of the crowd aren’t there for the darts….i’ve been to Ally Pally a few times and the crowd takes over the darts,the darts becomes secondary…..don’t get me wrong,it’s a laugh but it’s just a massive fancy dress piss up….🤷🏻♂️
Empty tables last night, mentioned on the Monday broadcast, sold out on the pdc but you can 1 ticket for upwards of 200 quid on resale sites. As someone who went to the lakeside in its prime, sat, drank and played with the top players, suffice to say, them days are long gone.
If only YOUR sport had Barry Hearn at the helm. Players are and can become millionaires, EVERYONE loves the darts and its the best drams on TV. Bravo! As for Menzies, if you can't take the heat....because pure sport can't cater for your feelings in the heat of competition.
If no one is aware Cameron and Leonard have played as teammates here stateside in dart tournaments. All the pressure was on Menzies to perform. This is what Mickey Mansell was trying to explain in his press conference. Love Cameron his stage interaction with the audience has been entertaining all year long. Wishing Menzies success in the future.
Thing is though - the darts now is more about the party then it is the sport. This would be fine but there are often idiots who turn up, have too many beers, whistle and boo. Thats the shame.

If your a musician and you get on stage and play like cr@p you'll get booed off stage ,,,,,Same goes for comedians etc ,,,,, you live and learn and what doesn't kill ya makes you stronger. Mezzies an eccentric feller so he's gonna get some stick when he's flipping out,,,i'd love to be a fly on the wall when he cant find his car keys and he's running late for a match,,, 🤣
The sad thing is the anti Scottish sentiment in the ally pally. Every session there singing about battering scotland and im sorry its not banter. There not like that with any other nation and that should have been said.
Takeway the booze and see how animlas behave then! They need to stop the dressing up and have a formal wear for spectators. I still see it as a pub game and if they increased the tickets prices, alot of them clowns wouldnt go.
His father is sick in hospital, and it’s evidently all became too much for the young lad. Imagine trying to play in the biggest tournament in the calendar year, with having your farther sick in hospital, I feel for the lad. He had some bottle just getting on the stage.
@KanoJ84 whilst I agree with that, go watch his match against Mansell in the grand slam of darts. He's very up and down emotionally, and it changes very quickly too.
I don't think they're the worst in sport but out of the sports that are for solo players they do have the most disrespectful you don't hear oooooooo with a golfer ,snooker ,tennis ,when they're on a pressure putt,pot or serve, jeez imagine ted hanky with the crowd nowadays he went mental when someone accidentally sneezed on his throw 😂
Barry Hearn is such a clear and logical speaker. What he's said is very rational and well put

Remember watching the England Scotland games with Eric and jockey , the crowd was brutal
