AAAAA THIS MAPROJECT IS FINALLY DONE!!!
YIPPE!!!!!!! I cannot express through any conceivable words how beyond excited and proud I am!!! A little more than one year ago I decided to create and host this project after being inspired by some amazing fanart of this ship. Since 2018 a MAProject idea has always been whirling in my thoughts. Today, this idea has become a complete dream come true including the help from 30+ animators & artists! :D
Without the amazing participants and illustrators this project wouldn’t be here so please give them a big round of applause and appreciation, I highly suggest checking each & every individual out (aka their social media) who helped make this MAProject of mine an actual reality!!
Thanks to everyone involved from the bottom of my heart, I truly cannot express my gratitude!! Everyone put so much thought, clear effort and hard work into their assigned parts! The MAProject follows an alternate universe where two thunderclan she-cats, Mousefur and Spottedleaf respectively, got together. Although the warrior code forbids medicine cats from having mates, the lengths these two would go for each other didn’t stop them from expressing their proclaimed love.
🌺 PREMISE OF THE MAPROJECT: 🌺
While an elderly Mousefur is yearning after Spottedleaf, the starclan ghost of her deceased lover appears intending to visit her and show comfort. At that moment, Mousefur starts reminiscing about the memories they treasured when they were young and both alive, from their kithood, apprenticehood & days as grown warriors. Through hardships the two she-cats stuck together, until one unfortunate Shadowclan raid into Thunderclan’s camp. Spottedleaf was murdered inside her own den and Mousefur would be left in a complete, devastating grief for the rest of her life. Spottedleaf, now as a starclan ghost, swore to watch over her loved one every step of the way whilst Mousefur swore that she will patiently await her death to be finally reunited with Spottedleaf in the afterlife. And while the two briefly rejoined during the Great Battle, Spottedleaf was tragically struck for the second time, by Mapleshade’s claws. Mousefur could only watch in shock as the ghost dissolved into nothing, disappearing forever. Quickly ascending to Starclan among a crowd of reunited clanmates, Mousefur tightly clutched the last remaining memory of Spottedleaf, her leaves, uncontrollably weeping over the fact that she will never reunite with her love ever again.

when other cats die, they at least still have a life in star clan to look forward to and to meet the cat they long seeing to. Mouse fur didn’t
I felt really bad for them but I love the end, it’s so real.

Spottedleaf did Bristlefrost before it was cool
This MAP in itself is so much more developed and well written than whatever the Hunters were trying to do with Firestar and Spottedleaf. The final scene where Spottedleaf fades away is actually so emotional in contrast to the chaotic messy scene with Firestar in The Last Hope. I love this MAP, props to all of the animators for working together to create this masterpiece!

@@almondsun Yeah!! I definitely agree. Its even stranger that Firepaw and Spottedleaf hardly even have interactions when she's actually alive. Not to mention the age difference.

This map was so beautiful and heartbreaking. I’ve always loved mousefur and spottedleaf as a ship, everyone did a wonderful job^^
My girl lost her thrice 💔 first when she became a medicine cat, losing her chance to be her mate (at least publicly), 2nd when she died the first time and lost her chance to have a life together, and lastly when she died the final time and lost her chance to ever see her again. This is so tragic but I love them so much 💔
Aaa great catch!!!! We really wanted to visually illustrate how dissapointed Mousepaw must've felt when she saw Spottedpaw switching her mentors and joining in the medicine cat den. Although Mousepaw felt sad that they would grow distant with their different careers, Mousepaw still expressed her support and love nontheless!!
You did a great job!!!! The bit near the end where Mousefur starts screaming after Spottedleaf’s spirit dies is so poignant, you can really feel her grief and her fury at the plain unfairness of it all :(( angsty lesbians my beloveds

This is amazing!! I prefer AroAce Mousefur myself, but of all the Mousefur ships out there, this one is my favorite! The artists all did amazing on their parts, and the story was so emotional. Ahh! Fantastic! I can’t praise enough

I drew the credit scene of mousefur watching spottedleaf disappearing and just to confirm mousefur is holding spottedleafs head in their paws and also wiping away her tears, the last thing to go was spotted’s sight. That also being mousefur, yes everyone needs to hear this bye

This ship is so full of despair, heartbreak, and just pure misery. The fact that they'll never, ever have the chance to be together and never even got the chance in the first place is extremely upsetting.
Mousefur losing her lover three times? Her afterlife never feeling fully complete without Spottedleaf? Having to let go of someone you could barely even spend enough time with because of a series of unfortunate events that ultimately ends in you never seeing the person again?
This AU and the script writing behind it is purely just genius work. The animators giving it so much more emotion and life is just phenomenal to see. Everyone involved should give themselves a pat on the back! What a wonderful MAP, I'm so glad to see it completed!

Wow this is truly incredible, i mean it. I usually don’t get cry or get too emotional over fiction but this really hit me hard I legit started tearing up. the art the, music and the expressions all made this so amazingly heart breaking. This is so lovely and painful. it’s so sad to think that even in star clan they won’t get to be together. This was truly breathtaking. Great job to everyone involved this came out perfect!

THIS IS SO WONDERFUL! When I saw this MAP, I just fall in love this this idea. It's such a wonderful concept! I appreciate all lesbian ships in Warriors. But, I'm here not only for a lot of warn and nice words, I'm still so shocked that mine art has won. It's my first time as a contest winner, and I an so glad that I cab be a part of this wonderful project, without any animator's skills!

Agreed! The AU/idea for this ship obviously didn't come from me (it stems back to 2018ish~) so I just took the general concept and scripted a maproject! :3

It's finally done! I was only in the MAP server for a few days before the premiere, but everyone was so lovely and eager to help. This was a spectacular project and I am so glad I was able to participate! I hope to work with you guys again in the future

The ending to this is so beautiful, but so sad
It's crazy how one of the many triumphs of warriors is to die a noble death, no matter how happy you are after death. My oc's storyboard follows the lies Star Clan gave the clans: If you're a true warrior, you'll end up with your loved ones. It doesn't matter how good of a warrior you are, it depends on how you honor the code. Other cats honor the code and do what's right, even if it means hurting another cat, and that cat with supposedly become the "villian." Most cats don't even notice the fact that you need to be happy whilst your alive to be happy after death.

Not even an hour old, and this is by far already my favorite Warriors MAProject I've seen. Everyone's parts work so well together to tell a complete and beautiful story of two lesbians torn apart. I'll definitely be watching this over and over for years to come, and wait with eagerness to see what you bring to the table looking forward!
