    Physical therapists need unions and we need to fight for each other. I’m 100% with you brother. Gonna share your channel.

    WOW WELL SAID!! Going to be a 3rd year PT student and plan on doing home health after I graduate to make the most money possible so I can get rid of all this student debt. Glad I found your channel and will be revisiting these videos next year!

      we’ve helped 1000 + PT earn 100k or more - but the best thing you can do is get your money up as high as possible
      Otherwise you’ll be fucked

    So this video was exactly what I needed to hear. Where can I find more information on the HH mentor course?

    • @dr.smith_dpt
      @dr.smith_dpt  5 років тому +1

      The course is being finalized - will be released by the end of the month. Just going through some QA right now .Also please share this video as its getting flagged by people that own staffing companies for exposing their bad business practices. I will let you know as soon as course is cleared for release. In the meantime you can joing my facebook group to ask me questions directly as well.

    As a Home Health PTA. I can appreciate the information presented. I should however pointout that there in fact therapy only companies with PTA's alone earning well over 90k yearly. A big factor is understanding the case load, experience of the company, the relation of the company with the various Home Health agencies, and a hug plus is the owner being a PT rather than a businessman. To be clear, this is from a PTA perspective. But hey, the ROI as a PTA works well. HHA agencies with PTAs strictly don't typically provide a consistent case load, leading to the need of working for multiple agencies. Just my 2 cents as a PTA. Definitely good information for once I'm a DPT. Appreciate the info.

    • @dr.smith_dpt
      @dr.smith_dpt  2 роки тому +1

      Yes this video is 4 years old. Know many PTAs clearing six figures in various ways. PTA ROI is much better.

    Acute Care or OP ortho as a new grad?

    • @dr.smith_dpt

      neither - pay is shit unless cash pay or travel

    • @kcuba1228

      @@dr.smith_dpt I’m currently in my last OP rotation….. so I brought this up because I only had rotations involving these two settings (i definitely lean more toward acute because I enjoyed it more, zero chance that I see my life stuck in this “conveyor belt” type of feeling that outpatient ortho often gives me).
      If I do stick with the acute care route, am I just picking a different flavor of the same poison? or is there something I could do or consider to make the position as a new grad staff therapist more ideal?
      What advice do you have so that I can be more efficient/comfortable transitioning into jobs involving travel or home health? Feeling fucking lost at the moment.

    • @dr.smith_dpt
      @dr.smith_dpt  Рік тому +1

      @@kcuba1228 if you did acute care you can do home health - because they are higher level - best resources are my FB group, 10 CEU HH course, or my group coaching. Best advice i can give you though is to make as much $ as you possibly can then do your own thing. Being an employee sucks and is only worth it when making 6 figures or more. Control of your time that happens when you own a business is even more valuable

    • @dr.smith_dpt

      PTAs have benefit from the course and this content as well
      PTAs we usually have at about 70kplus a year if the right situation arise
