90k-100k here doing combo of PRN and consult work helping payers determine need for DME. Doing private HHPT on the side opens the door for more income as well. I also have my NCS and if you are good at what you do people will pay top $$ for this population to be seen at their home. I’m talking about $150-200 per 60-90 minute sessions. A PT friend of mine has also made extra $$ doing live courses at senior living facilities and ergonomic assessments for local businesses.
I would also like to talk to you about how you positioned yourself in those roles and which one is making you the most/which one is giving you benefits and all that good stuff
Get an out of state license, work as a traveler, work in a well paying job when not working contract job. Our salaries are going down annually, don’t become a PT

As a therapy clinic director, you might earn 5k to 10k more a year, but some would argue that the stress and pressure of being a clinic manager is a real headache at some places. Owning your own practice could open the door to 100,000 or more, but that also includes the risks/overhead/staff. The fastest, most stress-free way to a six figure PT salary is with home health and travel PT.
It can range from less than the average (I’ve know of some owners making less than their staff PTs early on) up to $300k+ for multi site clinic owners.

Very nice video! Im a home health OT and the income is much better in the home health world than Ive had with clinic settings.
