    Meet The Sweet Ride
    High performance river running with a side of play.
    Nothing is sweeter than playing your way down the river. Especially in the Sweet Ride. This half-slice beauty will get you boofing your way downstream, carving turns through rock gardens, pulling onto a catch on the fly wave and squirting a nice seam. It's the half slice that is focused on running the river in a fun progressive way.
    The Sweet Ride boasts standout features that will have you exploring and creating new lines.
    Pop up and over any obstacle in your way with its big RMX influenced bow rocker.
    The big hull platform and rocker profile keep you sitting on top of the water, allowing you to skip downstream and spin on a dime.
    You’ve all been asking for crisp edges, the Sweet Ride has got you covered. The edges are hard enough to use, but tucked up slightly so they won't get in the way while sliding down rocks.
    We know performance matters. The Sweet Ride has a performance driven stern that starts with a little extra volume behind the seat to keep you moving downstream confidently. And at the end of its fast 9-foot length, the stern slices down super thin, allowing you to pivot turn quickly, squirt on eddy lines, and splat that rock.
    If you're ready to crush it on the river, the Sweet Ride is the boat for you. Whether you're boofing, carving, catching waves, or just having fun, this kayak is designed to help you do it all with ease and confidence.
    Have a sweet ride.

    Killer 2-1/2 minute intro, great editing and one of your best feature-length reviews. The 6 min. On-Water segment was crazy, working every feature, bouncing all over the river WHILE doing real-time voice-over narrative. You really stepped up your game with this one.

    Hi Wade. Great video. I’m looking to progress and it’s time to consider getting into a half slice for the first time. I’ve found the Ripper and Rewind tails challenging. With the upturned tail on this boat is it fair to say it’s a bit more forgiving in that department?

    • @WadeHarrison
      @WadeHarrison  3 місяці тому +2

      Yes this tail rides up so not as catchy as those but also not as playful

  • @simonwyndham
    @simonwyndham Рік тому +1

    Looks real slalomy! Can tell how much you enjoy a boat by how many paddle spins you do in a video! Does anyone import Spade kayaks into the US? Would love to know what you think of the Barracuda, Joker, and Bliss. Trying to find the perfect half slice that can still run the pushy stuff, but still fun on the lower grades with me at 65kg. So far the Firecracker seems to meet a lot of the criteria so far, but it would be interesting to know about the lesser known boats.

    • @WadeHarrison
      @WadeHarrison  Рік тому +1

    Demo today in Buena Vista park. Does everything my antix 2 does but way better and more fun. I think I'm sold. Also, I'm 230lbs that tail is down A LOT! Hope it creeks better than my antix.

    • @WadeHarrison
      @WadeHarrison  Рік тому

    Random question, not really on the video.
    Noob to whitewater. I've been watching your videos for a couple of months.
    I'm looking for a kayak for the southeast. I'm 1 hour from Columbus, GA, and 30 minutes from the new whitewater park in Montgomery Al, but creekiing looks more fun to me. I'd like to do all types though.
    I understand there isn't a do all kayak. But what would be your suggestion for a first kayak...I'm a pretty fast learner and a little athletic.
    I don't care about squits and splats, but stren turns are a must. I'm looking at the steeze, ripper 2, scorch, and maybe the zet ninja.
    I'm 180-185, what are your thoughts?

    • @WadeHarrison
      @WadeHarrison  Рік тому +1

      Well all those you named are very different and if you just want a river running kayak look at the scorch RMX Code as a river running creeker but as a higher performance river running go Sweet ride Steeze and as for the Ninja I just seen pictures and videos so hard to say anything about that one

    Sadly I don't see Dagger or Pyranha being too worried about this addition to the market, a half slice IMO should be business at the front party at the back and a hoot to play down the river, lack of sizes will also hurt sales. Here's hoping for a Party version or the Hot Whip is more slicey.

    • @WadeHarrison
      @WadeHarrison  Рік тому +2

      Agree it’s very different from the rewind and ripper 2 but the hot whip definitely will be a contender I guarantee that…

    Between this, Ripper 2 L and Rewind L which is most playful? You said it’s hard to get the stern down but your looking at the sky all day! I’m 200 lbs which may help me a bit but I find my Mullet a bit of a challenge to get vert unless I have a real solid eddy line.
