@@StraightLine_MTB This bike is AWESOME! It's very sluggish (38 pounds) compared to my old XC hardtail (30.5 pounds) but I quickly got used to it in a single ride. I hit some small jumps (6 foot tables) and drops (3 feet) and it felt great! I wish I could put tokens in the fork so I may have to upgrade but it's solid. I had a great time and will definitely progress on this beast.

@@agrsk8r awesome. I agree it's heavy but I felt like it rides lighter than it's weight. Changing the Vee tires on ours to something lighter and faster rolling made a great difference. It's a bike you xan enjoy for a long time or until you want to upgrade.

I love mine! This is my first “real bike” and I loved it out of the box but I did change the fork to a bomber z1 and the rear shock to a Fox DH X2 and the new TRP brakes are and are amazing!!!! Lastly I have a carbon race face handle bar. It rides like a dream now!

Man at that point you could have bought the T8 and started out at about what you upgraded to, for most likely a lot less money.

After a ton of research, the T7 was my choice, never had a full suspension and happy I went this route. The difference on climbing is AMAZING, of course downhill is always better which I found this bike to do extremely well. Personally, I'm not upgrading anything until after a nice solid year of riding. Even then I will start upgrading slowly like grips with my biggest change being the drop down post and eventually forks. All in all, I am enjoying the bike A LOT and will just keep beating it up before doing any upgrades.

    • @StraightLine_MTB

It is a great bike out of the box. Sure it's a bit heavy but didn't feel that on the trail too much. Ready to rip and upgrade as you wish to make it an even better bike.

I picked one up last summer and am extremely impressed with it overeall. I do wish I had bought the T8 but with two kids under 4 years old, I just don't have time to ride and didn't want to spend more. I haven't gotten to really test it much but for the price it's extremely nice! I got some carbon bars and a Renthal stem and it feels great.

@@StraightLine_MTB even if you price out the components it's hard to see how they are making any profit on these. My T7 showed up today after 15 day wait. I'm super stoked with it! Mine came with Hans D. Tires. i can't wait to tear up the trails with this beast! My gears are out of spec and skipping tho.. Can I adjust the barrel up top or do I have to mess with the derailleur?

Nice. Ours was supposed to come with the Hans but instead got the Vees. You can adjust via the barrel adjustment but go one click at a time. Just make sure to check if it needs to tighten or loosen. Should be relatively easy so long as B screw was set correctly

Bike comes out if the box 95% assembled. Put on handlebars and front wheel and that's about it. Fir suspension measure 30% sag on rear and around 20% up front and ride. As you get more familiar with the bike you can adjust as needed. It's a great bike to start out on.

While I personally haven't had this issue but I will keep an eye out. At 210lbs and riding this thing pretty hard I have not seen any issues and am impressed so far. That said, I have cracked both carbon and aluminum frames at twice the cost of this frame. While unfortunate, I really judge brands on their service when these things happen and how fast they can get me back on a bike.
