Buzzbait is a pretty good opener. There was a time, as a kid that all I threw a couple summers was a buzzbait. White skirted, double buzzer so I could go super slow or fast. Looking back on it, I did surprisingly well, considering I was so nieve to other techniques. I even used it in little holes, in the slop, and pulled em out. BTW, the Karashi has been Killin It lately! Anytime I find active bait in mid to shallow depth water it comes out. The spotted bass have been loving it! Everything from super slow straight retrieve to crazy snaps with it jumping out of the water. Too much fun on BFS! Edit... Lmao, you know Griff too well. Hover shot and a Crawler! 😂
Ben please get some of the new Raid G-Dash swimbaits when you can get ur hands on them. I know they will evaporate when you do. Raid makes the dopest fish catching baits there are. Im sprung. Lol
With the fast pace paying off, I thought for sure I would see a Raid lipless debut on the second run. I purchased one of the silent level vibes (mud craw) and would have definitely worked it into the rotation to heap additional insult onto Griff! Maybe the next challenge needs to be how many baits you can catch a fish on with a 1-fish per bait limit. Finally, I thought Griff was a Shad bait guy…surely he would have ripped one of those Raid level shads on a spinning reel during the fray. They suspend and are flat out awesome. What was Griff thinking?
