‘Top’ pun my friend! Thank you. I wanted to put some extra effort into this one. ZZ are one of my favourite bands, so this is my little tribute (including the post end-screen reference!) 😎
That’s awesome! I didn’t wait past the end screen the first time…and thanks for getting the pun. I didn’t think of it as one, but I left it because it is.
I love this video. I don't how many Chupacabras it has sold, but I know for sure it sold one....to me. Not only are the tones great, but the playing is spot on and an excellent resource for learning some cool Billy Gibbons licks and riffs. My hat is off to you @CTS Guitar, this is a master class. One question. Did you make those backing tracks? I would love to get a copy of those to jam along to.
@@mbreinin Thank you. This is one of the nicest comments I have received. Great to hear this video has inspired you to pick up a Chupacabra - Awesome pedal, you won’t be disappointed! I would love to be able to do more like this and it would mean a great deal if you would consider subscribing. For the backing tracks: I used a website called Moises to separate the stems and remove the original guitar in order to re-record it. Hope that helps.
@@ctsguitar awesome, I will check it out. Right now, I am jamming along with the video. I failed to give you kudos on the production value as well. I have watched thousands of pedal, amp and guitar demos and this one ranks in the top 10 for sure. It looks professionally produced. I don't think Mythos could ask for a better demo of a product, if they paid for it themselves. Please make more like this. I have most definitely subscribed.
@@mbreinin Wow. Thank you for saying so! Certainly, I would love to create more pedal demos; hopefully some more Mythos. As it stands, I produce and self-fund all of this myself. With that said, I have plenty of videos in the works currently, hopefully equal, if not more impressive than this! Thank you for your support. I hope you enjoy the content.
Thank you. For this demo I used a Supro Jupiter, which I find to be a great pedal platform amp. Any neutral clean tone is a good base setting for a distortion pedal I think. Thanks for watching.
I’ve not tried any of those mini Vox amps - I would be keen to. The Chupacabra has a very amp-like character and will cover a wide range of gain tones. Thank you for watching. 👍
So it sounds like a Blues Breaker with a Compressor? I recently bought a Zip Amp pedal for 30$ that is similar but has a tone stack. The new Irin Bass Fuzz Distortion pedal has a similar effect.
@@patrickmcmanus5373 It’s much more dynamic than a blues breaker pedal in my opinion. The gain range can go from mild overdrive to distortion/fuzz. I’ve not tried the other pedals you mention to be able to comment. Thanks for watching.
@@ctsguitar if you know the Irin Bass Fuzz Distortion pedal could you please do a review as it's a new pedal and I cant find a review or a mention in Google. Cheers
@@patrickmcmanus5373 I’ve not heard of this brand Irin before. I will keep an eye out thanks. I’m assuming given its name, that pedal is intended for Bass more so than guitar. Please consider subscribing as that really helps out. Thank you.
Many thanks. Yes I think so. I was going to do some lower gain Strat stuff - ‘Chevrolet’ and such, but the video was running a bit long! I went with some of the classics to showcase the range of gain tones within the pedal. It’s a great sounding pedal and you can’t go wrong with it! I made this video for the love of the music and the product (not sponsored).
@@ctsguitar I ordered the Tex-Mex Edition, Mythos should be giving you a cut of the sales for your amazing video! It's the reason I ended up getting it.
@@BlackacreDoe Fantastic! Thank you for saying so. That’s great to hear (maybe tell Mythos 😉). I made this video for fun honestly, but I would love to do more - Great pedal, I hope you like it. 👍
Thank you. I’ve not tried the eliminator pedal, but both would get you in that ballpark. The Chupacabra is quite versatile despite only having two knobs - it does the driven brown fender amp sound very well. Let me know which you decide to go for?
DUDE! This is great
Thank you. This means a lot from one of my favourite pedal brands. The Chupacabra is amazing!
Man this was absolutely incredible!!! Really cool to be able to clearly see your hands while ripping those killer licks!

Fantastic tones set to fantastic tunes! Have mercy 😎
It’s hard to get a bad sound from the Chupacabra! Simple, yet extremely dynamic. Many thanks for watching.

Many great sounds to be had from this pedal! Thank you so much for watching and for your comment.

Turn it upside down!

EHX Hot Tubes, but this one is probably tweaked and has better components. I like mine, but this is a pretty pedal.
