Far more children die from drowning in swimming pools every year than do you going overboard on a boat, do you put lifejackets on your kids in the swimming pool?
I had to look a couple of times, I thought the jet ski at the beginning was coming in by itself.

Two thumbs up to the dad not only for having a life jacket on the little guy but also teaching him early to drive a boat.
I like the Pardo design - you have to be a really bad captain- like the one in the video- to stuff the bow in one.

I wonder if Pardo looked at all of the great hull designs and said, 'Nah, we won't take advantage of any of that. Let's make something weird that will get everyone on board wet as it slaps its face through the waves".
That Italian boat certainly goes THROUGH the waves but not OVER the waves lol. Seemed like it handled a pretty rough at at haulover well though, which is one of the ultimate tests for a boat.
I never liked that Pardo design , looking like a floating coffin!!!
I love that hull design.
My thoughts are: PULL IN AND SECURE THE GD FENDERS AND DOCK LINES!
Nice wide walkways, deep sides, wide width and she handles the swell easerly, she pops back up quickly at the bow. Nice boat. I enjoy the different makes an models all showing off, Great stuff Wavey boats🇦🇺👍🤣

So overhaul is like an amusement park for people who basically know nothing about surf sailing. However I got to say the Black dude with the bevey of babes makes it look easy. Plus he's got a nice new boat. 2:40

If you’re talking about the RHIB with the mystery outboard it’s a Honda
El capo isn't well built for the ocean only for lakes, most vessels are lake boats from what i can tell. Look at hull designs from the 60s for examples of decent ocean going hulls or go to Alaska
El Capu and boats of similar design appear to be extremely seaworthy. They just don’t look “boat” to my eyes. Probably a 70 year acquired bias. Strange hullform can be overlooked because they never seem to have any difficulty at Haulover.
The Pardo has no bow flare but it seems to have decent bouyancy and it cuts through pretty good. I’d like to see one with the bow up just a little higher and a little more speed coming through the breakers. I feel like it handles better than Axopar ALTHOUGH I opened my mind a little after seeing someone hammer an Axopar 37 like it should be through those breakers- at speed and trimmed good not a bad situation but still keep your hand on the wiper switch lol
Look at the pardo again and notice the stern with that dead rise and wide open transom it could be disastrous in a following sea . These both were originally designed for canals and fjords in the Netherlands, I would imagine they make a good river boat, but I would not own one for offshore duty. It’s the kind of boat a non-boater buys. And considering they are in the same price range as Grady, White, or a Nortech it’s a no-brainer
@@johnbumpus7138 but water egress from the inevitable bow stuffing at low speed is so much easier. LOL but I’m with you. Can’t see myself buying a Pardo or an Axopar. I’m a Grady White man myself

Agreed it’s a Honda, but Max power on that RHIB is 150 so I’d say that’s probably what it is
El Capu would be more impressive if he took in his fenders after leaving his slip 6:16

When I first started watching this channel, 3ish years ago, I absolutely hated the design of the Pardo. Not gonna lie, they've kinda grown on me.
"mystery" outboard clearly a Honda BF200-250 series. why people remove the decals is beyond me.
I used to want to own a boat until I watched your videos. I no longer want one and will stick to cruising. My stomach would not be able to handle all that waviness nor would I be able to hang on for dear life! lol safer to just watch lol 🤢🤢🤮🤮 🤣🤣👍

Forgetting hull design. ALWAYS be wary of a boat driving around with their fenders out.
Besides the first boat there was nothing rough about the other exits
Except the massive stuffing from the second Yamaha in the video.
Why don’t these guys wear life jackets when they are on rough water the captains of these boats should never leave until they have them on
Why are there so many bad captains there. I would never authorize people on the boat while getting out of there.
