Nicole, I love this Forest Bokeh painting. It touches on something nostalgic for me. It is absolutely stunning. Thank you for sharing your gifts. Laurie
This has to be the most amazing watercolor tutorial I've watched yet! Your depth & rich tones, along with the brilliant use of the bloom & the bokeh effect & that gorgeous light flowing in all make this a magical piece! Thank you for sharing. I've subscribed because I can't wait to see more!
I have to admit I was skeptical at first, with so many combined techniques (salt, plastic wrap, bokeh), but this turned out really lovely in the end. Depth and contrast are just right.
Wow.. totally blown away.. you made this look so easy! I'm going to apply bokeh technique to a piece of art I'm going to have some fun with today.. Thankyou for the inspiration ❤❤❤
I learnt more in this 1 tutorial than I have in the last dozen videos from various other popular artists. I've just found you and Subscribed immediately. Off to give this ago now! Thank you.
How wonderful you are 😍 Love the way you use the color. Thank you for technique, it’s so useful for me. Can’t wait to try it. Thank you again for this video. I glad to know your channel ❤️
Thank you very much Patti I tried to find the reference photo for this once I decided to make the video but I did not save the photo and unfortunately don't have it anymore. I am sorry but any photo with some branches that have different layers will work or layering some different shots together would be a fun and original option! Cheers and Happy Painting!
I did this painting a few years ago when bokeh was just starting to become a thing but it really has just exploded lately especially with the festive lights time of year 😀
Hi Susan thank you so much for your kind comments and taking the time to reach out I really appreciate it :) The soft pink in the background is quinacridone scarlet and is one of my favorite colors to paint with :)
Hi Julianne! I am sorry I did this so long ago I cannot find the picture in my reference photos, I am now including reference photos with my newest videos. I will dig some more and if I find it I will definitely include it. Thanks for your comments.
Hi Charmaine. Thank you so much for taking the time to comment! This stiff brush is just the name I call them to mean a stiffer bristle brush for lifting purposes. It also depends on the paper you are using. Arches is the most difficult to lift paint from other brands are much easier and a medium stiff brush may work as well. I just go to Michaels and touch the brushes so I can see if they are stiff enough. Happy Painting 🎨💕
@@CreativeLass Thanks for your reply. I did some searching and found some brushes that are actually called scrubber brushes for watercolor. I ordered them today and as soon as I get them I am going to give this beautiful painting of yours a try! (For anyone interested, the brushes are called: Creative Mark Ultimate Watercolor Scrubber Paint Brush Set, Stiff White Nylon Bristle, Short Handle Paintbrushes for Color Lifting and Mistakes - Set of 3. I ordered them on Amazon.)
I like your painting very much but difficult to focus as you constantly change the screen size . I spent more time expanding and shrinking my page than I did watching. I also had no time to read what you’d written which was also frustrating. Not trying to sound miserable. You’re very talented and I’ll try to continue to watch your videos!
Hi Carole I appreciate your feedback unfortunately this video was shot portrait vs landscape as this was one of my very first videos when I started my channel I have learned a lot since then and hope you find my newer videos easier to watch lol. Believe me I was very mad at myself when I realized I shot the whole thing wrong…I feel your pain lol 😆 and totally agree with you.
Thank you so much for watching my video everyone! If you like my artwork please subscribe to my channel❤🥰

This is stunning. I would love to see the Pixabay image you worked from
Thank you unfortunately I cannot find the image I did this awhile ago and forgot to save the image.
Love this! Would love to try painting it. Is there anyway you could supply the Pixabay link or the name of the photographer?

Has bokeh been around a long time? It seems to be all the rage right now.

Hallo could you please share the pizabay photo
Hello I am sorry I don’t have the photo I had not saved it and could not find it. I painted this a few years ago.
Where would I find a scrubbing brush to purchase? Is that what they are called in art supply stores? (Thanks in advance for your reply.)

White gouche?
No I did not use white gouche I lifted the light effects with damp brush and stencil.
