How to use Golden/Hyper armor:
Select all Max armor parts and hold K (or hold the screen if you're on Android) when the boss intro finishes until the "READY" appears.

I fixed some bugs after the v.1.1.0 demo release. The new download link is in the description.
Version 1.1.1:
- Improved gamepad support.
- Fixed Zero hitbox.
- Fixed palette in some X sprites.
- Added missing X armor sprites.
- Mobile Buttons disappear in the Stage Select screen.
How about source code? I want make levels.

He's sick of you disrespecting him by picking him first on your X1 playthroughs and is out for revenge.
@@Kaegrin_Kai that is not true, not solely for that (heh).
If any stage in X1 started with the boot capsule in a narrow space then Penguin... would still be picked first because of his patterns, that or Storm Eagle.

Inspiration was taken from the Megaman Zero series for that one. Glad you enjoyed it!

was it just me or someone else noticed the chill penguin attack that is the same as copy x with the ice element?
it sure look like copy x but these attack remind me of Mega Man Maverick Hunter X Hard Mode.

Almost getting perfect. Makes me hope for a Mega Man Maker styled level creator in the near future. Only problem is the possible bugs that can get in the way.
Holy craaaap so much progress! From how much I love the first Megaman X, I occasionally go through the game the most difficult way possible: without getting any armor/heart upgrades, without using any other weapon than the X buster, and without charging except for the final boss (it's a mouthful 😅). The game is very possible this way and I love the difficulty, and seeing the buff on Chill Penguin (which is one of the easiest bosses) is making me hyped so much for more progress! Looking forward to more as usual~

This is awesome! Controlling the characters *really* feels like playing with a SNES Mega Man X, such a faithful reproduction (and an awesome adaptation of 32bit/3d X stuff). Keep up the good work!

You guys are comparable to the Sonic Mania developers, and the same goes to the X Corrupted ones. These projects look amazingly well done, so much so that they look like something Capcom could only dream to do nowdays. I hope this projecr gets even better.

this is looking good guys! one thing i wanna comment is that i think for zero the volume of the sfx is kinda unbalanced, i think the slashes and explosions are a tad loud compared to the jump and dash sfx for example.

Ah... Nice to see MHX finally getting some much needed recognition, seeing that Chill Penguin's sprites take after his redesign in that game. And a couple of his attacks too, for that matter.
Glad you noticed! I personally handled the MHX conversion of his original sprites, so I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it.
@@Kaegrin_Kai Yeah. I personally prefer MHX over vanilla X1, and I feel it gets a needlessly bad rap. That said, I do like the SNES original, don't get me wrong, but I feel MHX "future proofed" it, if you know what I mean, especially in terms of the premise and character designs; which is why I feel it's a crying shame it's been pretty much swept to the wayside. Perhaps if it saw release for the Nintendo DS instead of PSP, or even been released on both handhelds, it'd have faired better?

I haven't explored the entire demo yet but already it's fantastic! It's also really cool finally having Axl playable and I think is implementation is really good! Keep it up, I'm looking forward to see how Iris plays too.
Thank you Burai and I made his sprites, and I worked hard with Dark Shadow to make sure his movement and mechanics were taken straight out of X8 and perfectly translated into that SNES style.

Very, very cool. I'm glad to see another update from you guys. I first stumbled across your project several years ago. And at the time I thought it was abandoned so I'm glad that you're keeping it alive.
I have my own fan project I'm doing where I'm creating my own Mega Man X character artwork and sprites in the 16Bit X style, or at least to the best of my abilities. So the idea of being able to make a game where a coding moron like me I can use his own Art is extremely exciting.

I have no idea what the hell this game is, I JUST got this recommended on my youtube, but I'm 101% not complaining, I definitely LOVE everything I just witnessed, and will play it now so thanks for this
Edit: I just played through it and I have no words to describe this... It was beautiful, it feels like playing just about any Mega Man X game, the controls are smooth, responsive, the armors really vary your gameplay style on X and the additions of having both Axl and Zero too for extra variety really gives this game an incredible amount of fun and enjoyment, I love it and hopefully there's gonna be a lot more, can't wait~
Just another small edit, Chill Penguin just kicked my ass man, dunno how to feel about that, but apparently I suck with Zero lmao great game though, this is like the 9th time I've fought the guy and could go for another 20 without even starting to get bored

@@Kaegrin_Kai you deserve 'em, the entire thing is amazing, I played it all the way through like 20 times just last night lol, the amount of details and love put in this game is outstanding, I guess the only like "issue" I'd have with it, if I was to nitpick, was that Zero's fire slash has a way too short range, other than that everything just worked wonderfully, hell I even managed to learn that new hardcore chill penguin's patterns after a few tries~ truly amazing job, can't wait to see more of it

Baixei e testei no meu notebook, rodou liso. Gostei bastante da fluidez (parecendo que eu estava jogando o X2) customizações de armadura interessante...espero testar outra demo👍

Gotta say, this is an amazing recreation. Feels almost perfect. If I had one gripe I would say that the fall velocity at the end of a jump is just a "tiny" bit too fast. Otherwise, it's a carbon copy of the original.
Excellent job ! really incredible i love how this is going, i just have a few recomendations after testing the engine:
-falcon armor could have invicibility during his air dash, at least with enemies than aren't bosses.
-black zero should have his dmg reduction in black armor, considering than he haven't range
-are you considering to give zero his buster?

- Falcon Armor was having a bit of an issue, so we're having to reprogram the invincible part of the flight.
- Black Zero will have it. We just didn't have time to add it before the demo release.
- Yes, Zero will have his Z-Buster. I've already finished the sprites for it, but we didn't have time to add it into the demo.
I LOVE HOW THIS GAME FEELS TO PLAY!!! Everybody Plays so Smoothly, X is a Killing Machine, Zero is a God, And Axl Can BLAZE Through Any Level With Ease. Love It!

A small suggestion, give Axl the skill to destroy enemies in one shot, if he attacks them from behind, that way Axl could be the "Stealth" character, to X "Long Range" character, and Zero "Short Range" character. I think one of the reasons why people dislike Axl, is because he does not have a personal play style, being too similar to X.
To bad the Chill Penguin from the SNES game doesn't fight like this one does, also I love the boss music for this game even if it is only a demo.
Glad you enjoyed it! Sadly, we weren't able to add all his attacks before the demo release date. He was actually supposed to be HARDER.

BTW if you don’t mind me asking, why did you decide to include two Megaman X1 bosses (Chill Penguin and Storm Eagle)?? Personal preferences or It has something to do with the plot?
This isn't a game exactly. It's a tech demo for our engine's physics, mechanics, etc. The engine is being created for public use in making MMX fan games.

Not especially. We mostly had the X series in mind, particularly the SNES games (obviously). Basically, what if the concepts in X4-X8 were in the SNES X games.
