I’m a drummer and ok, he may not do the most mind blowing fills or show off but he is solid! His timekeeping is excellent and that’s what you want from your back line! Someone you know you can rely on! I’ve watched this a million times (I’m from Glasgow but couldn’t make the gig lol) and there’s a few bits where you can tell these guys know what everyone is doing and when they’re going to do it! Every one of them are in unison with each other and it’s an absolute joy to watch/hear! Brandon even comments on how the Scots don’t have to wait til nighttime to party haha. To sum up, I think the band is one of the most underrated but yes I agree with your statement about Ronnie lol

I know, and that's what fascinates me about singers. First off who the hell told them they could sing. Next up, how do they get up there in front of all of these people and sing without pissing themselves. Next up, Some of their songs are going to be very very hard to sing in a few more years. But for Brandon Flowers it seems like all of this is going to be really easy. He's already a great singer I don't know who told him that he was but they were smart as hell I don't think it's ever going to be hard for him to sing when he gets older to hit all the notes or anything I think he's a great singer and he'll always be a great singer. One thing I would love to ask the guy is how the hell did he walk on stage for the very first festival that they've done. All the ones that have seen them at are like 50,000 or more people. I mean that's heart attack shit right there. Also I'd like to ask him how the hell he gets up there and sings without his mouth getting dry it's the first thing I do when I get around a bunch of people and get nervous is my mouth goes dry.

@@jeffreybutler4605 SO...some answers based on all the interviews I've watched/read.... He learned to sing by practicing - didn't really know he had a great voice - just started with the band & developed it over time - it is better now than it's ever been with 20 years of constant practice (and voice coaching) under his belt. The first time he sang in pubic (at a cafe) he was literally looking for a spot on the floor to throw up (his words) - terrified. Because of his stage fright they just kept performing everywhere they possibly could to get used to it, but his stage fright/nerves have persisted for decades - he just is getting better at dealing with it all the time. He has said they used to try to hug the fear out of each other at those early bigger shows lol & that he finds it easier with bigger crowds than smaller ones (as an ex performer I agree - more energy/adrenaline to carry you & feels less personal). He hydrates/sips drinks constantly all the way to the stage and during the show. He says the nerves now go away after the first song or two. This is about his walk to the stage - vimeo.com/343625236?ref=em-share :)

I mean Scots are the out of this world crowd but there’s never a moment he doesn’t sing “letting the crowd do it” for himself like many others would do in the situation when the audience sounds louder than the frontman, he sings along with their fans and enjoys it, and it’s truly spectacular❤️

2018 TRNSMT for me remains untouchable for so many reasons and I can say The Killers completely smashed every other live group I’ve saw to pieces andI don’t say that lightly. Overall @GerryCinnamon with his first mainstage appearance having 40,000 people in the palm of his hand totally alone with his guitar, mouth organ, drum pedal and a set list of songs that become anthems live. He deserves all the success and I can only imagine how proud of him his actual family and friends are because I know I am. I know the Royal Albert Hall show was sensational and got the CD/DVD release, and a couple of the Glastonbury sets have been phenomenal...but I think there's a genuine argument THIS is The Killers' best ever concert. For Reasons Unknown is one of the most fun/insanely exciting things I've ever seen during any concert by any band, and during the 2nd passthrough of Mr. Brightside at the end the crowd (AND the band) look ready to transcend into a higher plane of existence.

Scotland and Northern England is "The Killers" country. That's the place that really "got them" first, because they sing songs of such emotion, toughness, and heartache. They also toured extensively there, because their shows were going so well, when they first started. They were alt-rock in southern England until they hit it big, but they were always just great rock in Scotland and Northern England.

If you guys only knew how big of douche bags Dave and Brandon are, you would be suprised. I was working with them early on and they fucked me over so bad that I am still dealing with the depression since October 2002. Ronnie is a great guy and an old friend, but as for Dave and Brandon, let's just say they are the least professional and un-grateful pricks I've met in my life. I dedicated alot of time to help them get ready and they didn't even have the balls to call me to give my the let down. They used me and destroyed my life and they were ruthless. Just a little inside story that has never come out. When a person goes out of their way to help a group like Dave and Brandon in the early stages and then they just fuck you over without a fore thought. It's pretty mind boggling. I worked with them so hard to get ready and yet the stabbed me in the back. Just ask Ronnie Vannucci what I'm talking about and he will reluctantly admit it. I've worked with hundreds of musicians in my life, and these two pricks were strange and they destoyed my life. Just a little secret that no one knows about, because the Killer's don't want to tell that story about what they did to me. I poured out my heart to these guys and they screwed up my life.

A gig with this kind of energy, that crowd and that execution for every single song this has to go down as possibly the best Set The Killers will EVER do!
