Kelly Jones is so up there with the recognised great UK singer/songwriter/ musicians such as Noel Gallagher, Richard Ashcroft and Chis Martin - yet he doesn't seem to get the same respect. God knows why - his voice is a work of art itself.

A band I've supported since my brother made me listen to them when I was 11 in 2004. Seen the band live 9 times since. Absolutely in love with them! Helped me through the past year tackling chemotherapy more than they will ever know. I just want to thank them and this gig on here is everything and more. Please everyone enjoy x
One of the best bands ever! I love them. I learnt about them at the end of the 90s and they we're my medicine after a break up with a girlfriend. I flew to London to earn a living from Spain and I bought their second album at the Virgin's. Since then... No comments. And I agree with some of the previous views on their unrating. Some day they'll be recognised as they deserve.
What a band! 20+ years of quality! Love that the crowd got involved in every song old and new! They get better and better each time I see them! Surely worthy of a headline at Glastonbury?! They’ll rock the place! 🎸
Unquestionably the best live band I've ever seen. Me and my pal drove from Scotland to the Morfa Stadium in Wales in 99 to see them for the first time and ive seen them a further 41 times since. If you ever get the chance come and see them in Scotland, especially in Glasgow. The atmosphere is ridiculous.....its one of the few instances where I'll leave Edinburgh and happily socialise with Glaswegians. The only gigs outside Scotland I've been to that have matched that sort of atmosphere were Morfa Stadium and Newcastle University. Also thee absolute best live performance of any song out of all 41 gigs/festivals was when they sang " Not Up To You " at that Newcastle University gig. I've never witnessed a better live song from any artist at any gig I've ever attended
I am English - and proud of it - but there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING like being in the middle of a Scottish crowd at a really great concert. This WAS one - and it was awesome! I have seen the ‘Phonics twice in Glasgow and twice in Edinburgh (once with my darling daughter) - and on each occasion the craic was bloody amazing !!! The best live band ever, and the craziest crowd imaginable !! ✊🏼👌🏼
Stereophonics are consistently awesome, so underrated, I would love to see them live. Kelly Jones is one hell of a frontman, they sound heavy and melodic and I love it
They sound a bit too American for my liking. If Kelly had a raspier voice they could pass for a Bryan Adams tribute band LOL. Having said that they do sound pretty good live......Songs 1 & 3 were outstanding.
I had the pleasure of being here this day - absolutely incredible. Sun was going down, the air was getting cool but the energy these guys brought was unreal! Cannot wait to see them again in future.
100% agree with all the positive reviews.Excellent recording....have seen them five times, their awesomeness has to be witnessed. That said, Jamie Morrison is lightweight and does not fit with the rest of the band, never has. Not knocking him as a drummer, just does not suit the 'phonics. Too static and looks uncomfortable. Javier Weyler and Stuart Cable, massively tough acts to follow, if not impossible. Still love them though. PS, when Javier left it was just before a short tour in the summer of 2012. I saw them in Cambridge, and their drummer for the night was introduced by Kelly as "our friend Sam". This fella was spot on, seemed to fit like a glove. PPS, the 133 who down voted...hang your heads in shame.( Only my views, slag away...lol)
The reason why they are that good and don't conform to a label making them do things a certain way and not let them be free in the studio. Kelly has always said that the band make what music they want to make and it has always worked. The music industry is run by the money makers at the big labels and real bands with their own style and say what they want without worrying about getting kicked out of contract are gone. So sad. That's what made oasis the best. It's all a big image now and what money can be made by creating a phony pop star that isn't being themselves and are singing tunes that have been made by other people. Getting told what clothes to wear. What to say and not say in interviews. That's why these bands like stereophonics are still doing it. Because they are established and don't need to prove anything to a label. Class band. Always will be!
I couldn't agree with you more, Pitt! Kelly is still consistent saying that they have maintained their status for more than 20 years without the big record labels. They can still do it and they are just being grateful that their music is still relevant. Not just the music but with Adam and Richard and of course, Jamie. The camaraderie and chemistry are admirable.
Really agree with this. I’m part of a band called Rotaries, we’re trying to go on our own at the moment. I’m a big fan of Stereophonics so hopefully that comes through in our music a bit. If you did fancy a listen- open.spotify.com/artist/7A4NzrYCgekGBu2rQyq5mB?si=NpFvYXdrSPSfB3xBTzjuXg

I play this over and over again. I love how I see the audience enjoy the performance. This band will always be current and will be appreciated by generations to come. They are not a fashion band, they are unique, and will never expire or become old fashioned. They could hit the charts today and be as fresh and new now as they were then.
You forgot Superman, maybe tomorrow, same size feet, Vegas two times, Too many sandwiches and the best I’m aright (you gotta go there to come back) listen to that ‘live from Dakota’ best song ever lol.
I saw the Stereophonics play in a very very small club here in Chicago, IL, USA, 21 years ago. It was called the "Double Door." My buddies and I sat right in the front, knew all the words, sang along, etc. Kelly even asked us, because they were so new as a band, and from Europe, "How do you know all these songs?" Lol. It was funny. We told him we've been listening to their album all summer. So he invited us to stay and hang out with him and the band afterwards. Security tried to stop us but Kelly told them it was ok. It was very awesome. That experience was really special ... Richard was very cool, as was Kelly - who was asking us where the closest liquor store was. Stuart was, honest to God, sniffing lines off the little table they had back there (RIP). Anywho ... I got a concert poster signed by all 3 of them ... It's pretty sweet. It's framed. But now that I'm a 40-year old and it's sitting under my bed, is anyone interested in buying it? I'd be looking for a couple hundred (since Stuart signed it and he no longer can sign). Send me email addresses ... I'll email the pic.
One of those rare shows you wish would never end. Hate that the word "underrated" is in their orbit. They are simply the best Welsh band ever and I am a massive Alarm and Manics fan but.....it is what it is. I love how they appeal to so many different genres and their guitar player is a massive Twisted Sister fan. It really bothers me that everyone I talk to in the US kind of remembers that song from Crash but don't know who recorded it. It's absolutely mystifying to me. I'll keep sharing the music and believe history will treat this band deservedly well. They've given 2 decades of some of the best music I've ever heard and I thank Kelly, Adam, Richard and Jamie so very much.
In 2018 the Mrs fired off and left me with the kids after an affair (hers btw.) Financially I was ruined. That Christmas my boss gave me a bonus and for the first time in an awfully long time I decided to treat myself for a change - to a ticket to see these guys in Lytham the following July. The time came and the ex announced that rather than being available to look after the kids as planned, she was - in fact, attending the show herself with friends. I stayed home obviously. Later on I discovered that she never even went. I watch this a lot. Apologies for the rant but it pisses me off to this day. 😂
What a great crowd. I thought the concert was in Brazil when I started to watch it but then I thought a crowd like this ......must be closer to home then he says "Scotland "...and I think bloody obvious because the Scots know how to do it
What a drum piece at 1.24.25. Absolutely made it a special performance. Long live the Phonics. Well done Jamie and a happy birthday to ye on that night. 👍👍
I've seen them a few times but that 13 years ago then this gig and it was even more amazing the drummer Jamie stole the show and it was his birthday greatest memories xxx

This guy inspires me to keep singing and search for the right songs to sing his vocal chords r good he's got the voice and everything u need to be a singer
I am not a fan of Stereophonics actually, I just popped in to listen to some songs while I am working, but I have to write down that the energy of the Scottish crowd made me listen to the entire concert... What an energy!... Is it something to do with the weather in Scotland or smth?? Such positive people you have in Scotland... The world needs more of you... Greetings from Turkey...

This guy inspires me to keep singing and search for the right songs to sing his vocal chords r good he's got the voice and everything u need to be a singer
Wow they rocked , Mr Writer was epic
I have seen a lot of live shows in UA-cam trough the years and I think this one is definitely one of the best.
We Scots love our music. This gig was phenomenal. Check out the killers at Transmt too another brilliant gig and crowd
