- A soundsample of my new Gavin MacDougall with a very fine Slow Air "Loch Rannoch", wich I played last year at the Kinnloch Rannoch Highlandgames and with which I won (but no big deal really).

I have a set of Gavin’s and they give me chills. Beautiful tunes. Beautiful tone!
One of my all time favourite slow airs. Superb drones too.
Beautifully executed ! One of my favorite Slow Airs; especially when played with seconds. Cheers!
Lovely. Well played, in quite a crisp, clean style. Approximately in B, although pipe tuning is a world away from equal temperament. I think the chanter forces A natural rather than A#. Equivalent of C natural if you're playing it in D, as I do on the fiddle.
Really nice playing. Thank you.
Good listening.... good lesson on my part ! Thanks for posting.
Are you using the original MacDougall blow pipe in these? I also have a set of these. They’re so good. Your tone is phenomenal!!!!!
Jan !, you're a master, how nicely you make that lovely tune sounding
Very nice!
Lovely tone on your pipes and well tuned
Are your pipes Hendersons? Such a rich, full, sonorous tone.
Gavin MacDougall’s
Hello, I wonder if you, or @KidCatypus would mind sharing some bore sizes with me? I'm trying to measure many MacDougall sets 🙂
I wish I could figure out a recording set up to capture that clearly.
