Fantastic arrangment! More so, I really love your flow. Wrong notes or not, you really remind me of when I was a more passionate player. "Correct" is relative when you are in a "state of art." Your feeling is easily distinguished in your playing. A small portion felt a little mechinical, but for such an elaborate arrangement, that is totally acceptable, if not appropriate for a dubstep cover. Through and through, though, this has plenty of feeling poured into it and that is what really makes this so inspiring to listen to. I think I want to dust off that old keyboard...
+XIRUS also how many mics are hooked up to the audio interface, and where are they recording the piano (as in where are they located) because I'm planning on recording my piano :)

One of the first songs I ever listened to of Virtual Riots, I'm a big fan of Virtual Riot today and still listen to all of his melodic songs. (And occasionally the other hardcore songs). This is a great cover, I'd always wondered what it would be like to play one of his songs on piano. Looks like I don't have to wonder anymore. I also play piano, I just don't have much motivation (nor the knowledge when it comes to theory) so I mainly focus on improving my improvisation and chord knowledge. The only criticism I really have, is that some parts are lagging a little behind, especially near the start. Even if it is to give it a little more feeling. Otherwise this video is really amazing! I'll make sure to keep it in my saved tabs and check back for when the sheets are out. Thanks for giving me something to listen to while finishing last-minute homework (avid procrastinator here..) cya.

Playing has always felt good to me, but I started learning theory long after I started piano (maybe 6 years ago). Theory makes writing way easier so work on that with your piano and you'll get there! Virtual Riot FTW. :)

Well what do you expect? You can't exactly play supersaws, growl basses, and drums with a grand piano. Most, if not all arrangements of electronic songs are different compared to the original song just because what sounds good on synths and drums will sound terrible on a piano.
I know but he could have kept the vibe and the melody of the song at least, it's possible to adapt it on piano. I think it's fine if you change the melody it a little bit to play it on piano and to improvise with the left hand... But not at this point :(. Anyway... it's just my opinion -_-... maybe I just like the original version too much.
Well, maybe. I thought it sounded pretty recognizable all the way through, in terms of the chords and melodies he was playing. That said, it does sound completely different because of the fact that there is no sound design happening here. Those huge chords you're used to hearing in the original drop aren't really the same here, because a human on a piano will never really sound the same as 3 layers of synths playing around 6 notes each. I guess I can see where you're coming from though. Either way, mad props to this guy for arranging and playing it.
