I am 72 and just starting my short journey in painting and have set myself up in watercolour as I don’t believe I have the time to master more than one medium in my lifetime. I enjoy watching all tutorials but mostly watercolour as I have a lot to learn. Hi Paul. Jim from Madrid, Spain (a fellow artist and a New Yorker expat living abroad). I've been following your channel for this past year 2023 and I must say that I've learned a lot but, as in your case, I decided to focus on Wildlife more than other subject matter (though I always try different things to challenge myself) because to me wildlife is a passion and it is what I want to learn to explore more fully. Now, the mediums I currently use and that I can afford (you know... money is a scarce resource for artists) ate graphite, charcoal, coloured pencils (not as much though I have a small Faber-Castell set), ink, watercolors and gouache. These mediums have been my original investment since they are more "affordable" (as artist grade products, I mean) and one of the reasons I didn't get into acrylic nor oil painting yet (too expensive for me now while I'm still evolving), though who knows? Maybe someday I'll be able to. Good luck with the new format of the channel and naming, etc... I will continue watching it since wildlife is my passion and I always try to learn from the best artists and please let us know in the future if us (as subscribers) need to do or change anything in the channel to continue to be able to follow you in your new approach and passion. I dont know you but this channel was recommended to me. Theres a large art supply community on youtube and wildlife art reaches all branches of the art ven diagram. You'll be fine.

I'll definitely look at your new channel but the only medium I have used is watercolour or colour pencils so it'll be interesting to see if I could paint a elephant for example in watercolour instead of oils or acrylics
