Background/Lore: (Nova’s Take)
Before the beginning of the Creepypasta, Luigi. Spying on Bowser at the time with peach, noticed something peculiar. Instead of Peach actually being a tad frightened.. as she normally was, she was grinning from ear to ear. Almost as if she actually enjoyed this life of being “Kidnapped”
Luigi thought nothing of it… at first. He just went along with Bowsers plans like always, however. He was slowly beginning to notice he was showing Peach more of his new estate, and she seemed much more lively then Mario and her.
Luigi, guessing that something was seriously wrong. Decided to backpedal, despite him wanting fame.. harming his brother wasn’t something keen in his eyes anymore. It just wasn’t for his life, so he went to his brother to tell him all about what he saw.
Mario, despite being pissed off that Luigi would almost betray their brotherhood, at least agreed something was fishy about the constant kidnappings of peach, which happened multiple times. Both brothers began to make their way to the castles Seperately though different passageways, Mario took the passage we know. Luigi, still having a key. Entered though the secret way in, managing to catch up with his brother real quick.
A short while later, after the brothers fully caught up. Peach intercepted them.
“YOU THOUGHT KOOPA WORKED ALONE!?”
So.. Luigi wasn’t lying about Peach betrayal. A bit of surprise to him, but not that big of a surprise.
Looks like the Mario brothers will have to take care of her. Double Trouble Style…
Who would see the sunlight and fresh air again?

I have a lore idea: the only reason Princess Peach gets kidnapped is because deep down she really does love him and of all the times she has been kidnapped she was planning to find a magic spell to make him human without the brothers getting in the way but with the secret pipe as a shortcut to get straight Castle only to find Princess not in the cage, she was standing on the other side bridge when she finally showed her true colors and intentions, Mario and Luigi shocked about the real reason why, Mario thought Peach love him but instead he was part of the plan the whole time, the adventures, the determination in risking his life were all for nothing.
I like to think the brothers went back to Brooklyn after this sh*t.

i'd like to think that in this IHY timeline peach was hooking with koopa/Bowser all along but luigi notices this in one random day that he decided to save her on his own but when he found out about peach's little affair, Luigi ran away as fast as he could without being seen , then he arrives at their home to warn mario about what he has seen with a face of disbelief and impotent to face it alone but mario at first does not believe luigi...
so luigi forces mario to tag along on a adventure together
after the long adventure through the 8 worlds they arrive at koopa/Bowser's castle
luigi angered because of peach playing with his elder brother's feelings he kicks the castle's doors wide open as he yells ''PEACH !!!!'' in a burst of rage, mario was doubting luigi and even disregarding some of his points but luigi was still determined to show him the truth even if it meant that it would hurt him
our heroes arrive at the lava bridge on where they see a peach with a wedding dress and a ring in one of her fingers, mario. now seeing the truth exposed to his very eyes falls on his knees as his body shakes in horror
luigi faces peach in a fiercful battle.
after the fight, peach severely damaged fell on her knees and looked down
as luigi prepared to give her an encore he's stopped by an running yet furious mario who uppercuts peach and gives her the good ol' f-air, falling into the lava peach glances at luigi with a dissapointed face as she screams ''I HATE YOU!!!!''
- in the aftermath:
mario and luigi save the day once and for all, after their crazy adventure mario apologizes to luigi for doubting him, luigi accepts his apologies and tells mario: "it's a ok brother. remember no matter what, i'll always have your back as you have with mine."
4 monts later the new ruler of the mushroom kindom was crowned as of the blue and yellow toads became the princes of the kingdom bowing to do better than what peach has done.
after the new toad princes's coronation ceremony,the two mario brothers walk back home as they laugh in pure happiness knowing that no matter what, they'll always have each others backs

This Cover makes me Remind Something like about "If Super Mario Co-op had a Bad Ending

I mean, it would make sense that she worked together with bowser... First what would this mean? It would mean that all those kidnapping attempts were planned together, why fake a kidnapping? Normally it would be for ransom, but in this case could mean that it was a cover up for secret relationship... The best way to hide an accomplice is faking your own hatred towards them (case 2 of rain code)
This also would make sense with another fact..... There's something inside the mario games that never made sense, the fact that peach is a princess that lives in a castle but got no guards.. Nothing protecting her, aside from the mario brothers.
If she really hated being kidnapped then she would invest more in security for herself, but she doesn't.
This would make sense if she actually got an affair with bowser, she wouldn't need security if the attacks are planned.
Also first game, why there's so many castles with fake bowsers with a toad telling Mario that the princess is in another castle? Like.. Why build castles and kidnapp toads?
Easy, the castles and toads are decoys, all to delay Marios quest into rescuing the princess, so bowser and peach can have more time together.
In mario 3 peach says the same exact line that the toads say "the princess is in another castle" well in the end she was joking... But how did she know the exact line that the toads said each time? Because those were scrippted by her.
And this grand finale it would be the lies reviling, peach against the two mario brothers (with background help from bowser)

I imagine in this au that the “kidnappings” are all cover ups for private meetings between Peach and Bowser about their kingdoms. Luigi backpedals out of working with bowser and decides to warn Mario. They make their way to the final castle only for Peach to stop them, she can’t have them revealing her plans for the kingdom. After a long fight, Mario and Luigi are forced to finish off peach and she burns in the lava below

In this Creepypasta called "Romantic Hatred", it takes place during the events of Super Mario World. And instead of opening Valley of Bowser after Mario and Luigi found the key on the side next to the dimensional key hole, it opens a different path on the left which states "DEAR GOD HELP". They entered the level and what appears to be an underground castle. They walked though the hall with shadows over Boos eyes along with Big Boos who has twisted grins. The messages on the walls states "I despise you both!" and "Why did you take him from me!?", the Mario Brothers began to feel unnerved about the messages until they found and entered the pipe. The message popped up in the black screen that says "What do you both think I am to you?"
They are in the next area, but what spooked them both was the illusions of Mario and Luigi's lifeless corpses in the air and the dark pink background. After a few minutes, they found the red door with that pink mushroom with purple spots and sly grin. Though, they wouldn't bother touching that crap, so they entered the door. Another message appeared on the black screen "YOU'RE NEXT". The Mario Brothers was in the room but it was empty, except the bridge which has lava below them and there are pink flames on each side. Mario & Luigi looked around confused of what was around them until a familiar face walked into the room with a look of anger; Princess Peach, and that's when she spoke.
"You thought Koopa kidnapped me?" to which Mario and Luigi recoiled in terror upon realising the truth all along. Peach has been in love with Bowser for years before the events of Super Mario Bros. take place when Bowser turns all the Toads into bricks. That's when Mario and Luigi arrived to the Mushroom Kingdom and goes on the adventure to save Peach. But what the Mario Brothers don't realize is that, the bricks they hit actually killed the Toads by accident after Peach deliberately allowed Bowser to use dark magic on the Toads, turning them into bricks.
How Peach must've hated the Mario Brothers, upon being "rescued", Peach was secretly furious at them both for what they did to Bowser and she never got the chance to tell Bowser about her true feelings for him. So she revives him and begins the next strategy. After the events of Super Mario Bros. 3, she was grown tired of seeing Mario and Luigi always defeated Bowser and his minions again, so she decided to finish the job for him.
She uses the Fire Flower and Cape to become Fire Cape Peach, the Mario Brothers were reluctant to fight her at first. But after hearing Peach betrayed the Mushroom Kingdom for Bowser, they have no choice but to fight. After beating Peach who was on her knees in defeat, Mario and Luigi was about to take her in. But her pink fireballs that Mario deflected to save Luigi earlier came down on each side while Peach was in the middle, it burns on this spot resulting Peach to fail in the lava to which Mario attempts to save her but was too late as she screamed "DEAR GOD HELP!" and sink into the lava below. After Peach died, Mario and Luigi hugged each other and weeped for a few minutes before they continue on to confront Bowser in his Koopa Clown Car for the final battle, WITHOUT rescuing the princess.
