      Thanks for the question. Unfortunately at this point in time, you are unable to dis-able the split screen when using Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Hopefully in a future update, GMC will give us that ability. Thanks for watching!

      You can’t from what I’ve researched. Honda according touring has a similar layout with the clock on 5e right side of the screeen. But when you have CarPlay on, it allows you to expand CarPlay to fill the whole screen

    On my 2022 Sierra HD I could have two iPhones simultaneously connected. On my 2024 it seems only a single phone is operational automatically. Any helpful hints?

      Thanks for the question. You can pair up to 10 phones via Bluetooth. To manage phones, click on the settings, connections, and then phones. From there you should be able to add another phone, and set which phone the vehicle connects to first. You can also set the function of each phone. Thanks for watching!

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide  5 місяців тому +2

      Try this: look in Settings on your iPhone, click on Messages, click on notifications and make sure Show in CarPlay is turned on. If that still does not work go back into settings, messages, notifications, and turn on Announce Notifications. And if that still doesn’t work then go back into settings, messages and turn on Focus so that text messages will appear if you have it set to do not disturb while driving. One or all of those items should get it working for you Thanks for watching!

    Is there any update to enable the split screen

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide  4 місяці тому +1

      Thanks for the question. I’m assuming that you’re talking about apple CarPlay or android auto. If so then yes there was an update for both that allowed you to make the screen full size or split screen. If you’re talking about the vehicles built in software, then in that case there are only a few screens , navigation being one of them, that you could toggle between full and split screen. If that doesn’t answer your question let me know specifically when you are wanting to see a split screen and if your talking about apple CarPlay, Android Auto, or the vehicles software. Thanks for watching!

      Try this, go into Settings in the infotainment screen, then click on “apps and permissions “ then click on “all apps” then scroll down and see if you can find the app that is causing that message (google Assistant may be the culprit here) then click “force stop” , and click disable and see if that causes the messages to disappear. I have a 2023 Denali and it does not have Alexa how can I get it ??? Please help.

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide  7 місяців тому +1

      Thanks for the question. This takes much more explanation than I can post here so this is the basics. You will have to set up a connected services account through gmc. You will need your have an active Amazon account. Once you have those, you can download Alexa from the infotainment screen , sign in using your Amazon username and password. Try googling how to download Alexa on 2023 gmc” and you should find the instructions. Too much to put here. Thanks for watching!

    How come you can’t just use the usb cord for playing music. I cannot stand apple car play. Will not recognize just the phones music. Brand new cords from apple

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide  5 місяців тому +1

      Thanks for the question. All new vehicles will now automatically open apple CarPlay when a usb cable is used to connect. So a couple of ideas… Connect your phone via Bluetooth, but at almost the last step when it asks if you want to enable apple CarPlay, click on “no” or “deny”. Then your phone will only be connected via Bluetooth and not Apple CarPlay. Then you can , in media sources, on your infotainment screen, click on Bluetooth and then manually select music from your phone to play through the cars system. One other idea, I’m not sure what music app your trying to use in apple CarPlay, but if your just using music from the Apple Music App, there is an Apple Music App in apple CarPlay, if you click on it, then you’ll see your music. If your using some other app for music, it should be showing up in the Apple CarPlay screen (you may need to swipe left or right to see it), then just click on that particular music app, and your music should be there. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
