I was 9 when Mrs. Kennedy’s tv special on the White House restoration aired. I was not only fascinated by the rooms, but it was probably the first time I had heard her voice. She was so beautiful and so poised. I still consider her the gold standard for all other First Ladies to aspire to.
@@melitasta.maria-thomeczek5771 FYI, the exhibit's title is the video's title, and the narrator explains at the start that it's from the special exhibit.
I pray that one day Mrs Kennedy's Blue Room will be restored to the grandeur it was under her and Boudin. Their decor was more than likely what President Monroe had in mind when he purchased the 53 piece set of gilded furniture and imported a chandelier made for Napoleon. He was a devot Francophile like Mrs Kennedy. The Blue Room was meant to be a ceremonial room and hasn't achieved its goal since the Clinton redecoration.
This is a woman, beautiful Inside & Out... Physically & Spiritually...Love conquers all...She was in love with her husband & he with her...love was the key to her & her husband's extraordinary achievements...🇺🇸🖐️ ❤️❣️💥🙏📖👑🌹🙏

It never fails to astonish me how astonished / amazed Americans can be when presented with a woman merely seeking to emulate the graciousness, grace of British “old money “ .She had the enormous sense and grace to adopt these ways and try to encourage other Americans to follow , even if it was just in emulation ? IMO (Personally , I found her to be both ruthless but also , most affected , unlike her very unaffected husband .

Jackie Kennedy was truly fantastic.
Her meticulous attention to detail was her forte. Great charm and her great dignity are incompatible .

If he was in love with Jackie he wouldn't have been unfaithful by having sexual flings with many different women during their marriage!

@Alma Vazquez .. How could you not know that JFK was an adulterer?
It's been public knowledge for many decades.

@almavazquez6397 ..There was no judging going on in my comment. I was merely stating a fact.
I feel fortunate we were able to visit this exhibit, it just happened to be at the museum during our trip to Boston
She was raised to be a Hostess to "A" list guests at dinners and fundraising activities for her husband...she was a delicate greenhouse flower
