Probably way easier to sing live in a lower key. That’s pretty common and a lot of bands / vocalists will do this during a live performance. Especially during long sets that’ll really take a toll on your voice. Especially with a song like this where he’s just belting it non stop.

I'm really not sure what it is. It's just off. I think the drums are too loud and the lead guitar is WAY too quiet.
