A band I was in the singer would get pissed if I said stuff behind the drum kit, but I did backup vocals, and had a mic every show. Like damn dude, sorry for cracking a joke every now and again.
I was in a punk band where the singer took everything so seriously "Only wear black on stage" "One beer before" "Stop smoking man" "Save your cash for this banner" "Use your food money to buy our last tickets so we get booked again" -Glad I'm out that band-
Nipaah, for real, I wanted to take it seriously, but I also wanted to have fun with it. Messing with the crowd on stage was one of my favorite things besides playing.
Nothing worse than getting a microphone knocked into your front teeth. Only been playing live seriously since this summer and it’s happened to me like 5 times.
just discovered this band a week ago. They're coming to my state next month, it's an hour and half drive, and I'm so excited to see them. Simply amazing
I was at this show! The crowd surfers definitely got on their nerves, it really sucked. But other than that it was a great show. The bassist (Not the guy from graduating life) kept telling Dad jokes the entire time. All in all 10/10, I just felt real bad about the crowd surfers. It seemed like they got annoyed.
It's really understated how almost nobody bothers putting text on these videos like for what song is on ect. I appreciate that. Thank you for uploading this.
Can some explain the difference between mom jeans and grad life? Besides that the singers switch. Kinda seems redundant to have two bands with the exact same members just some do different shit.
Bob The Boss Saget Bart (second guitar) writes the music for Grad Life with a different drummer (Logan). Eric writes for Mom Jeans (main vocals/guitar) with the drummer in this video. Both bands are from California so they just kick it all the time cause they're buds.
As far as I know, they always play in E standard, but capo for some songs. Their early demos have an open modal tuning but they use standard because its a bit easier and they traditionally use major 7th or minor mode chords. Cool stuff - Jaxon
"Try not to hit the microphone if you do that"
chill af
the drumming in this is unreal, guy doesn't get enough recognition
austin is a fucking machine on the kit
I've been in bands where only the lead singer is allowed to talk during a show. These guys look like they're having a great time.
I'm jealous.
what sort of toxic band were you in? a band is all ABOUT having fun. who gives a shit if the bassist talks?

I could feel the annoyance when that guy hit the mic climbing on stage.
It was PALPABLE but it's chill it happens, no shade to that guy

Anyone know what ride Austin is using here?
jake carenza Never seen him not use the 21" A Custom anniversary ride
Forrestt Mcarthur i saw on another post he uses the paiste giant beat 24”
I think he usually uses a 24 inch paiste giant beat, atleast thats what he uses in the audio tree live session
Who is the sound tech and why isn't she jamming? 😢
Why did gabe leave the band?
quoting Sam Kless and Kory Gregory from an Instagram live stream "He just wasn't the right man for the job"
Which one was gabe?

Max Sandza word fam word. I think there are different bassists as well. Ty for the reply.
Mom Jeans., Graduating Life, and Just Friends all trade members during concerts all the time it's awesome
Yeah dude I just booked Just Friends/Grad Life and they all switched guitars between sets and it was lit
the sound is pretty different between mom jeans and grad life too :) bart sings more agressiely, and theres more techy sounds
His chord arrangements are beautiful...
Do they ever use alternate tunings?
As far as I know, they always play in E standard, but capo for some songs. Their early demos have an open modal tuning but they use standard because its a bit easier and they traditionally use major 7th or minor mode chords. Cool stuff - Jaxon
They only play in standard and use the same chords for practically every song, just on a different fret
@@BiLkesCS This can be proven wrong more times than it can't if you know even basic music theory (which you clearly don't) lololololol.
