Yeah man but I remember the feeling when I seen it 2 years ago I had hope for the game and that was the saddest moment in gaming for me a great character killed off but one of the best dlcs to ever launch in the destiny franchise

I know it late to response, but it was the same with Destiny 1, the two first DLCs were good but no that good, and then The Taken King arrived, same with Destiny 2, until Forsaken the game was getting boring
It was the same thing with The Taken King but both of these DLC's became the best in the franchise.

I love Destiny, but I think it's hilarious how there was a collective groan from the audience. "Oh, it's Destiny." And "Ugh, I hate this game."

Don't blame em. At the time of that reveal Destiny had properly established itself to the general public as a pretty unenjoyable game with lots of wasted potential.
Of course now that bungie has disbanded from Activision for a while, they're doing their best to pick up the pieces. Which is why I got back into it. But yeah at the time the negative sentiment was well earned

The game has gotten better with Forsaken, I admit. But there is no excuse for the shit we got in 2017.
