Very nicely done. Great Instructor & good pilot. Love the HD. Just tone back the music track a bit.

Nice video. Music is distracting, though.

Unfortunately not many GA aircraft have an AOA indicator. Personally I think it should be standard equipment on all aircraft, it would save lives.

Nice video, excellent point about AoA. Lose the music, please.

Are you adjusting the power or pitch to ensure the aircraft hits the aim point?

Does this KLR adjust for different flight configurations, flaps, etc?

Wonderful, but the music has to go!

Im unfamiliar with the operations at that airport but that approach didnt look like a standard pattern nor any instrument app... could someone explain?

A tower can clear you however they want to. In this case, the tower asked them to proceed "straight to the numbers".

Music is very irritating. Too bad. Good video otherwise

AOA indicators are great, but not for a student. They should learn to fly without first.

Tell that to the US Navy. I disagree. In fact in the book Stick and Rudder it says exactly the opposite. This way the student learns what the edge of the envelope is. And also what the plane feels like at 1.3 Vso.

@@artistwithcameras Right, there is that point of view, but the learning will likely only work for the type of aircraft learned on, which for the military is okay. My point is learning by trial and error gives one a better understanding of the physics than by example.

@@glikar1 in my course you learn what is supposed to feel and sound right with the AoA reaffirming the correct inputs. What so many pilots lack is a clear understanding of AoA in the first place. Don’t get me wrong there is no substitute for a well trained aviator. The key that I have found over 12,000 landings instructed is my students learn it, fly it and are aware of it. They know they won’t die on a base to final stall spin. They know that the aircraft stall speed decreases with weight and as fuel burns. Shedding 65-80 pounds per hour of flight and flying book air speeds is incorrect. Book airspeed a are for Max gross weight. They also learn that as bank angle increases they can see the AoA go up even though they are flying at constant airspeed. This is the way that Wright Brothers flew. A string was their AoA. We have become as a culture lazy in our focus on airspeed as the fundamental go to instrument. See my playlist specifically the American Airlines chief pilot discussing AoA on the air disaster photo.

that's ridiulous one more thing to throw money away on for nothing and drawing your attention away from the outside especially while landing. remember the gap seal fad back in the 70's 80's? this is stupid just like that was. people will realize how stupid these things are just like gap seals and you won't see them any more on little piston bangers. maybe on jets but no reason to have them on single engine aircraft.
