Great question. I just looked at it again and it's definitely not matte, but I wouldn't consider it a true sunburst either. Without seeing in person it's hard to explain but somewhere in between to my eye.

We still had the black dial on bracelet in stock before the holiday I'll check on. I'll also inquire if the bracelet can be purchased separately.
