I have read quite a bit of his writings over the years . I have read in several types of religions that I could find . I try to respect ones religion as long as they recognize the 1 and only supreme being .The father of Jesus Christ , he has so many names . As In your religion theirs thousands of God's I think . My question was why are all these abominations . Are coming out in numbers , I know if the olden days . Where the lands that surround your country .Was once an horrid and violent place . Where these abominations we're once much more powerful in numbers .Your familiar with the types of control that they possess .We will leave at that !

Should we teach the many, many other techniques as well? Or only traditional Indian teachings.

@@mitchb1376 Edit. On Aug 25, 2020, The Dalai Lama did a video explaining this. 'The Need For Secular Ethics in the Modern Education System'. It is basically 'Ahimsa' (which means respect for living things and not harming others) and 'Karuna' ( which means compassion).
The Dalai Lama said after 1,14,14 (reworded) :- Humans are social creatures with a natural sense of concern for the community. Young children are honest, happy and naturally kind. They are guided by their caring mothers' kindness. Then when kids go to school, there is little talk of this. There is too much talk of materialistic things like ''heroes'', which encourages selfish attachment and aggression. ''Most past 'heroes' are KILLERS. Hahahaha ''. The education systems are spoiling and depleting our compassionate natures. Too much emphasis on 'us and them'.

The Dalai Lama is the human that has achieved the level of perfection in Tibetan Buddhism . In Tibetan Buddhism, desire is seen as the cause of all the evil in the world...so why does the Dalai lama desire that Tibet be free? While his sentiment on compassion is a good one, I separate that from his spirituality because his spirituality is self contradicting. Instead , I believe what Jesus Christ taught, that the need for compassion arises from the sinful acts of fallen humanity and that Jesus Christ's life , death and resurrection is the only hope for changing the sinful human heart to a compassionate one. Jesus left his place in glory and came into our world to die for our sins and make a way for us to be with God...that is the ultimate example of compassion.
Mr 'Lama" has understood compassion up-set-down. Compassion cannot be practiced. It is not a discipline. It is not manageable. Compassion is far beyond him and his understanding. I am happy to challenge him at anytime.

Dalai lama is not real representative of Buddhist world...He is capitalist sponsored Buddhist leader...kept talking about when a billionaire don't have peace Buddhist meditation gives peace...never talk on Equality, Fraternity, Freedom and Justice which are real Buddhist principles...basic of Buddhism...He never talks on lynching, Injustice, discrimination, slavery...or on any social issues...This is his real character...when Buddhist world looks at him & expect he would speak up...No comments as always...Next Dalai Lama should be from Indian Buddhist community (any Bahujan social Buddhist leader...)...We don't want cowardice leader now....Buddhism & Buddhist are crying in INDIA ( I am not talking about Tibet Buddhist migrants living in INDIA...they are happy as got shelter by Congress on some conditions...)...He can't see...!!!...society can't afford such kind of leaders now...It is enough...!!!

Mr. Dalai lama, you and all these intellectuals can talk, all you want, about harmony and compassion, but such talks will not bring harmony between divided religions. What are you doing about the atrocities of Indian government against Muslims, violence is a reality that manifest from violent human beings, which is fact, you have been talking about these things like compassion and harmony for last 50 years or more, has your talks have affected humanity, these talks will not affect human mind if you or someone else talk for thousand years, the reason is that word compassion is the real thing. But if you and all these so called expert intellectuals talked and investigate the greatest problem that prevents compassion and harmony, which is the "self" and the conditioned mind that we all have, including you. A person who is conditioned in any religion cannot have compassion, because being anchored in a belief naturally separates people, that's why world is in such a destructive mess. Mr. Dalai Lama you have met so many leaders, who are criminals, war criminals have you affected these politicians, or they have used you to fool people to keep their control of their power?
*Equality, Fraternity, Freedom and Justice brings compassion* ... *compassion don't bring Equality, Fraternity, Freedom and Justice* ...very simple rule...we should work on Equality, Fraternity, Freedom & Justice and should not run after compassion as compassion is like a butter which come out of MILK & MILK is Equality, Fraternity, Freedom and Justice...How come butter come out without the MILK...???...He is teaching making butter with no MILK...Great discovery...I don't buy it...!!!
