I sincerely hope he received a commendation for his service in stopping a kidnapping and attempted SA. He communicated perfectly with dispatch during the pursuit, got and gave a great description of the suspect even during a car crash and foot chase - amazing.

Back then, they used the huge Maglite flashlights, and now they use all of these smaller, yet brighter ones. That must be a blessing to cops these days. This is such an amazing time capsule. Everything was SO different and this show did a really good job at showing the reality of day to day American life at a specific time.
