Man, I did about the same. After clearing the hole of the whitefish we landed 2 nice bucks. Hey, those are some aggressive little guys, I had one that attacked my worm. Oh, I also got a nice bull trout out of that hole too.
@@alejandroguillen8790 hell yeah that’s awesome man. We went 7-18 in 3 days up there. Fished 3 different rivers. I got a 16 & 14 lbs bucks those were the biggest of the trip
@@shaunlehman9158 Right on man sounds like a hell of a trip. We went 8/10 in 2 days. fished 2 rivers off the bank. Just driving and hopping off and fishing holes.
There was a weather pressure change and the river was rising from heavy rain. A fixed bottom plunking rig was the ticket that day. Something to take note off. The odds were against us but we fished hard.
I used to break my line on fish more than I would have liked to. I went to stronger braided mainline and heavier mono leader. I then started straightening hooks out. Depends a lot on your line weight...
It was no more than 15 lb leader, and definitely not running close to 15 lb of drag. Gama's quality control went way downhill a while ago @@salmontroutsteelheadermaga5925
I used to run this section of the sandy with my boat I used to guide the Keni River by running a 40 Hp prop and looks like nothing has changed. I have a new 19-foot Dory I finished last summer I am now running the same 40 Hp prop on that Dory would do this section of the sand just fine.
Huh, no mouthy, misinformed rant about Jack fishing from his boat above Stark Street bridge? This must be the vid with Buzz you referenced in the Lamiglas vid before he removed it from UA-cam? Deadline for power boating is upper end of Dabney Park, and I'm not a "Jack Glass Fan Boy", just like to educate IDIOTS!!
Always enjoy watching the old guys, some of the most fishy guys out there.i live right by the lower sandy so seeing jack out there is always great👍
I think he knows everyone.
Good talking to you at the sportsman’s show! 🐟🐟
Your welcome. I worked the ENTIRE show... Randy and James helped big time.
It is called fishing sometimes. On this day, the best we could do was watch bobbers float. 😂
Great video!
I caught 16 white fish on Saturday in a river in the Olympic Peninsula

Nick, do you happen to have any recommendations for fishing guides in the Florence area? Seems like you know everyone that’s good!
Trevin Hoyt Guide Service, fishy dude and great guy

@@salmontroutsteelheadermaga5925 oh I didn’t know people plunked the Sandy I’ve never seen that
Already witnessed one of those bead hook gamakatsus bend out on a fish when it should not have. I wouldn't recommend em lol

I use size #4,#6 and #8 glo-bug hooks and have seen 50lb kings landed on them.
The trout pond even has handicapped parking.
We provide jobs for hatchery fish clippers and fish pellet factories.

Sad and depressing
No fish sad
Reality is you don't catch fish every time out. But you can learn from others techniques. Learn something new everyday that's what I try to do.
@@salmontroutsteelheadermaga5925 It’s depressing to watch the pacific northwest fishery go away.
@@vinnyrubeo3504 quite the contrary this year has been excellent.
@@vinnyrubeo3504sure is. All I hear is how good it used to be. Now it’s a shock if people are actually catching these days.
