Almost 2 years ago. I got stuck in Ontario Ca for 4 days with load of ice cream from Las Vegas for Amazon Fresh. $180 a day for “layover” pay (not detention). Ended up taking it all the way back to Las Vegas, where the entire load was donated to the public down at the LV Sherriff’s parking lot. They put it out over their FB page and people with their kids showed up by the hundreds. Thank god the co I was leased to paid me $3 a mile for the backhaul. Best out of a bad situation 🤦🏼♂️ 🤷♂️

While carriers have the right to demand payment or a guarantee before delivery, placing a lien on a trucking broker for non-payment is not a simple process. Instead of a lien, carriers can file a claim against the broker's surety bond, a type of insurance that protects carriers from non-payment. File a claim: Carriers can file a claim on the broker's bond using the Policy/Surety number listed on the bond. They'll need to provide paperwork like the BOL, rate confirmation, and any communication supporting their claim. File a complaint: Carriers can file a complaint against the broker with the U.S. D.O.T.'s National Consumer Complaint Database. Send a letter of demand: Carriers can send a letter of demand to the broker Now since you said they were bought out they bought the bills as well!
@@ItsJonBaca But they'll be the first to complain about the lack of available load space due to the shortage of independent operators that they helped put out of business. Must be something with that cat food. I have an amazon every 2 week subscription on those exact cases because every store is out of stock most days. 100% of the amazon deliveries of them to my house are 3 or more days late.
That's crazy Justin, and I know you want to bid or get other loads to help take care of your family. T's and P's for your brother! Just wondering do you ever do ride alongside? Your Union County fan Robert!

I dont like Amazon they cant even deliver a package to my doorstep and do that right im glad i have good neighbors who will bring me the package please stay away from Amazon that load was a disaster
It was that way back in 2006-07, don't think it will better in the future SMH Being a company OTR-DRIVER and hauling a reefer, it is as bad as it was for you, especially picking up loads for National Beef or Tyson in Kansas and Nebraska. Mostly because they still had to process the load of beef or chicken which could take up to 72 hrs before being ready to load on the trailer after being brought up to temp. To go with that, the load is scheduled to be delivered in Illinois or New York City up to 2 days later at 7:00 a.m.

Slick plate on 5th wheel will DEFINITELY be AWESOME than grease
I see that Purina hasn't changed in 40 years. I was sent to Denver to pick up a load that was supposedly loaded for 4 days, I got there and they didn't have any paper work and the office had gone home for 3 days
Purina in Denver is a dump, I'm not surprised they couldn't find the paperwork
Trust me the one in Denver is worst of the worst
@hafidm9 yep I use to have to deliver at that dump I use to take loads from Clinton okla to Denver
Must be something with that cat food. I have an amazon every 2 week subscription on those exact cases because every store is out of stock most days. 100% of the amazon deliveries of them to my house are 3 or more days late.
Wasn’t a owner operator, hated going to places like that
This is why I pull a flatbed did reefers for 10 years won't do it again
That's crazy Justin, and I know you want to bid or get other loads to help take care of your family. T's and P's for your brother! Just wondering do you ever do ride alongside? Your Union County fan Robert!
Never again , Amen , No excess for that type of disregards. Your attitude is very derstandable but it sadly break you down if you let it.Then things start et home, [ that sucks ] I feel you reel bad [55otr here] Would be great to speak with you someday All the very best to you and the family
That was frustrating just to watch. I can't imagine what it was like in person. I don't see any Amazon in your future.
Wow
That was hard for me to watch as you are the Good Guy of Trucking. I wish you had someone to write to that would fine all the components of this terrible situation
Amazon, your Broker. , Purina!!
Maybe your Congressman or Senator
I hope you have a Good Weekend and 4th of July.
The 4th is on Thursday.
Hang in there, Justin.
I never had any issues with detention time with Amazon. Do use Amazon or a different broker?
Gotta love it!!!!! I hate that for you. I was getting mad for you over here. Hahah
I’m tellin ya 😑😂🙏🏽
"The machine is down." xD
And this machine... does what exactly? 🤔🤣
Nothing has changed since i was trucking back in the 80s and 90s. Drivers need to be payed load time. Grow some k-hunies people, time is money. Been there done that!!
Damn JT ,you are a calm man my friend.i would have left !! That supervisor need to pull his thumb out

The last 7 yrs. I didn't Haul no cheap freight & I was A company driver.
Hurry Up and wait Justin. Damn
I saw your truck last night and yesterday 😁
For a plus... At least you can park on the road outside of Amazon. :)
It was that way back in 2006-07, don't think it will better in the future
SMH
Being a company OTR-DRIVER and hauling a reefer, it is as bad as it was for you, especially picking up loads for National Beef or Tyson in Kansas and Nebraska.
Mostly because they still had to process the load of beef or chicken which could take up to 72 hrs before being ready to load on the trailer after being brought up to temp.
To go with that, the load is scheduled to be delivered in Illinois or New York City up to 2 days later at 7:00 a.m.
