    1 Blessed are those that are unde- | filed . in the | way : and | walk . in the | law . of the | Lord.
    2 Blessed are they that | keep his | testimonies : and | seek him . with their | whole | heart;
    3 For | they who | do no | wicked- || ness : | walk . in his | ways.
    4 Thou | hast | charged : that we shall | dili-gently | keep . thy com- | mandments.
    5 O that my ways were made | so di- | rect : that | I might | keep thy | statutes!
    6 So shall I | not . be con- | founded : while I have | respect . unto | all . thy com- | mandments.
    7 I will thank thee with an un- | feign’d | heart : when I shall have learned the | judgments | of thy | righteousness.
    8 I will | keep thy | ceremonies : O for- | sake me | not | utterly.
    9 Wherewithal shall a young man | cleanse his | way? : even by ruling him- | self | after . thy | word.
    10 With my whole heart | have I | sought thee : O let me not go | wrong . out of | thy com- | mandments.
    11 Thy words have I | hid with-in my | heart : that I | should not | sin a- | gainst thee.
    12 Blessed art | thou O | Lord : O | teach | me thy | statutes.
    13 With my lips have | I been | telling : of all the | judgments | of thy | mouth.
    14 I have had as great delight in the | way . of thy | testimonies : as in | all | manner . of | riches.
    15 I will talk of | thy com- | mandments : and have res- | pect | unto . thy | ways.
    16 My delight shall | be . in thy | statutes : and I will | not for- | get thy | word.
    17 O do well | unto . thy | servant : that I may | live and | keep thy | word.
    18 Open | thou mine | eyes : that I may see the | wondrous | things . of thy | law.
    19 I am a | stranger . upon | earth : O | hide not . thy com- | mandments | from me.
    20 My soul breaketh out for the very | fervent . de- | sire : that it hath | alway | unto . thy | judgments.
    21 Thou hast | rebuk’d the | proud : and cursed are they that do | err from | thy com- | mandments.
    22 O turn from me | shame . and re- | buke : for | I have | kept thy | testimonies.
    23 Princes also did sit and | speak a- | gainst me : but thy servant is | occupied | in thy | statutes.
    24 For | thy | testi-monies || are . my de- | light : and | my | counsellors.
    25 My soul | cleaveth . to the | dust : O quicken thou me ac- | cording | to thy | word.
    26 I have acknowledged my ways | and thou | heardest me : O | teach | me thy | statutes.
    27 Make me to understand the | way of . thy com- | mandments : and so shall I | talk . of thy | wondrous | works.
    28 My soul melteth away for | very | heaviness : comfort thou me ac- | cording | unto . thy | word.
    29 Take from me the | way of | lying : and cause thou | me . to make | much . of thy | law.
    30 I have chosen the | way of | truth : and thy | judgments . have I | laid be- | fore me.
    31 I have stuck | unto . thy | testi-monies : O | Lord con- | found me | not.
    32 I will run the | way of . thy com- | mandments : when thou hast | set my | heart at | liberty.

    These are the most beautiful combination of Chants for these verses I know. I love them all and verses 1 to 32 too.

    SETTING BY ROSE BECAME MY NEW FAVORITE. I WONDER IF IT IS CUSTOMARY TO SING THIS (1-32) RATHER SLOWLY.

      +Bigbearbeau I tend to associate that Edgar Day chant with Psalm 37 (7th evening). I don't know whether there are any instances of it being sung to that chant on youtube though. If anyone knows of one could they point in the right direction?

    Please post as many as possible of this period at Guilford as you have available.
    Most outstanding in every way. We seldom hear Anglican chant done in this style and at this flowing, meaningful tempo anymore.

      Thank you. That's more or less what we were aiming at.

      I pray your "aim" never tires. My frequent visits to Cathedrals in the U.K. proves they all have sharp aims.

      We have no connection with any contemporary cathedrals. This is just a sound archive from the past.

    I love to listen to these Anglican Chants - my current church prefers Gregorian chanting - which lacks the harmony and beauty.
