They don't only look fierce but for me they look MIGHTY. 💚 And I don't know why, the usual lion mascot creeps me, but that one that is dancing looks pleasing for me. And guess what! I'm bobbing my head with the instruments played when I hate those kind of instrument being played when I hear it in TV or real life. But this one... IS GOOD TO MY EARS. 😭
I remember from old school days, the traditional 'eye dotting' ceremony for new lions also used fresh rooster blood and was also very 'mystical' feeling, have to follow a auspicious date and do proper prayers outside the hall before start the ceremony. Nowadays dont have this feel. Also i noticed no one likes to use Zhang Fei lion anymore eventhough its the strongest interms of chasing off dirty things. Hope to see more videos on lion dance, thanks!
the lion round head and square jaw, like the old chinese copper coin represent the heaven and earth. the Taoist believe that the heaven/sky is rounded and the earth is squared
Gong Xi Fa Cai, xin nian kuai le to everyone at Supernatural Confessions! Thank you for the enlightening info as always. Here's to an awesome year of the tiger, good health and happiness to all of us!
Now we know , these Hakka Lion Dance's Lion Heads are not only quite Fierce Looking but possesed of Guardians to subdue & chase away Evil Spirits! ... 🙏🕯
Excellent video!! Really interesting to learn about different aspects of the Lion Dance and the spiritual beliefs associated with it. Amazing to see how the Lion is brought to 'life'. The 'masters' must be very knowledgeable. Would enjoy more information about this topic. Thank you for sharing, from Australia.

This i very interesting, never heard of Hakka lion dance before in Singapore. Thanks for the education!!
Now u have heard about it! :)
Wow .. thanks for sharing this part of the Hakka culture and tradition 💪💪💪🙏🙏🙏

Gong Xi Fa Cai to u too!
I rlly rlly LOVE lion dance🥰 I'll gladly watch the Hakka lion dance if I ever get the chance

My dad was Hakka but he did the unicorn dance what’s the difference between the unicorn dancing and the lion dancing
Wish the video was longer!!
What about usual lion dance?? Not related to spirits?
It all relates to spirits 🙏🏼😉
Could u do a video on Kuda Kepang dance?
Than what's the difference to the one we see
