Same here, and i also wonder that sometimes as well. Like how would the tank fair in battle conditions, and how would the German soldiers react to this gigantic beast rolling towards them.
From what I understand, the 10 Char 2c tanks (each one was named after a ancient province/state of France)the French had in service were either captured or destroyed during the earlier stages of the war. But as impressive as they were, by WW2, they were technically obsolete. As for the ultimate fate of the Char 2c, there were rumours I heard of a captured one being used on the Eastern Front, but I can't confirm if that's what actually happened.
I love how fast tanks design evolved, from the british mark-series that has no turret, just a pure walking metal box and only has 57mm gun, turned into a behemoth with an actually fearsome armour at its era, and dont forget that 75mm was big that time, unlike ww2, most of tank with short barrel gun/howitzer piece in it was around 105mm-155mm or bigger
History time The char2c was actually built in late ww1 that one is number 92 also called picandie as all 10 char2c tanks had names based off of fallen French cities it had the thickest armour for a ww1 era tank as its frontal armour was 45mm thick which was considered thin by ww2 standards a total of 10 were built labeled numbers 90-99 and all named after fallen French cities they were being shipped to southern France during early stages of ww2 and some were put out of action from mechanical failures when the train was stopped by a burning train the French blew them up to prevent enemy captured all but one blew up 99 or champagne(not lying there was a city named that if the tank was named that) was the only survivor and was taken back to Germany as a war trophy but vanished when Berlin fell it was believed by many that the Soviets scrapped the tank it's armaments were a quick-firing high-velocity 75mm gun in a 3-person turret and 4 8mm machine guns in the same position as the ones in the game so the rear turret wasn't a autocannon but a machine gun and had a 12 person crew consisting of the gunner driver loader commander radio operator the mechanic the assistant mechanic the electrition and the 4 machine gunners(1 for each gun)
The char 2c is my favortie tank also and its very massive in height and also its a very fearsome tank and its also terrifying and if it succeeded through the battle field in world war 1 if could have send chills and fear to the enemies not to mention its fire power and massive size it has 4 machine guns and 1 gun turret makeing it into a feared war machine
il est à noter que le char FCM 2C est anachronique (définition: qui ne correspond pas à l'époque) puisqu'il fut créé en 1928. le jeu se passant pendant la première guerre mondiale, le char français aurait donc dû être le Char Renault FT-17
oh ok gotcha. And it has a lot of health because it's a lot easier to attack it, since it's so slow and it's on the ground as opposed to the blimp in the air. Same thought kind of goes with the train. It's also player controlled and not on rails. So it's gonna have to take many hits in order for people to actually use it.
yes,5 they spin to prevent things getting in while the commander (front cupola) could see out, due to the rpm of it you could see out as if there was nothing there
Only because it's a behemoth, it's meant to be overpowered to help the attackers push through, but it is also very vulnerable to planes, ranged attacks on its turrets, and simply surrounding it. I just had good enough aim and enough game sense to take out most of the AT guns and Assault players, and my passenger gunners were on point as well. It's also best to stay farther away from the fight and to provide your team support and spawn location if needed, because as soon as i got in the middle of the flag, my health dropped very quickly.
My favourite Behemoth of all. Can't help but wonder what would have happened if these tanks were actually used in battle.
Same here, and i also wonder that sometimes as well. Like how would the tank fair in battle conditions, and how would the German soldiers react to this gigantic beast rolling towards them.
Tehguy94 I can imagine: "OH MEIN GOTT! EST IST EIN ÜBERPANZER!"
Lol XD
SpaceMastermind the char 2c fought the Germans in ww2 I think the French had 8-12 of them

Everyone gangsta until the train turns into a tank
Legit whoever thinks that turning the armored train into a land vehicle is either bored or wanna have some fun
Love the little detail of the viewport spinning up at the beginning
Why is it spinning up?
@@texassherman7093 It’s a design to stop sharpened and bullets from getting in the tank while the drivers still able to look outside
*shrapnel
@@texassherman7093 its a stroboscopic turret it turns so fast your eys barely see the metal spinning but you can look through perfectly
Just like a old fashioned boss battle
yep
And a boss that you can play as.
Introduced as a new Behemoth for the french DLC.
Only used in that DLC instead of the game in general.

Unironically, that intro animation is so simple, yet awesome at the same time.

Soissons and Rupture are late ww1 so bf1 is really historical accurate
@@Definitely_not_pi Nah, Bf1 is not historically accurate at all, It's a hell of a game but it's not accurate to WW1.
Have you heard of these things called "periods"?
Fuck punctuation
@@michawasilewski5789 I don't know, I live in my parents' basement, I don't know anything about women
Char 2c wasnt used in battles much but its the biggest operation tank
Actually it was never used built in 1919 after the war
Damn Bf5 isn't even close to Bf1
Beautiful gameplay i would love to have you as my driver :D
Thanks!
Yea your definitely know what your doing.
Indeed he is
5:48 that jump was awesome for some reason
That cover fire from the back turret
That engine startup at the beginning sounds amazing
It’s a really cool system the use for the main turret Viewport.
Char = best behemoth
agreed
That was till the Russian heavy bomber class planes were added.
EpicHunter117 Gaming not a behemoth
Dude, do u love how everyone waits for this on rupture
NirmyCake Wizard rupture is awesome
I got in it once and was so excited to drive it and the first thing I do is get it stuck 🤦♂️

That thing looks like the daddy of the light tank
I went 56-12 with it on a conquest match
did you kill all 56 with one life? or are you just saying the end of rounds stats?
@@tehguy9412 we will never know his answer...
@@tehguy9412 well i dont think he died 12 times in one match with it
I've never been able to command this thing. Had the DLC since it came out anf haven't been lucky enough
What's a German and I saw that heading towards me I'd run all the way back to Berlin
How does this little thing have so much health?!?!?!!
little? XD
Tehguy94 well yea its huge... but compared to the train or blimp its tiny

It's not little.
@@SamsterBirdies it has extremely thick armor, at least for its time
Wish this was sent to combat before the war ended but it was too late.
It would have turned everything around. German tanks would be sitting ducks for it
Played really well
Nice bailout
Once thing I'm curious about, those spinning things on the top of the turrets, are they supposed to be early designs of cupolas?
yes,5 they spin to prevent things getting in while the commander (front cupola) could see out, due to the rpm of it you could see out as if there was nothing there
Last boss 😂😂
ive ride on that tank in rupture and soisons
Pretty good
You can really dominate with a decent crew me and my buddies tinted the tide quick with this thing
We are finally getting it in war thunder
Only in Battlefield...
nice
:)
Now we know why the German pre-battle speech is so angry, patriotic, and desperate
Killed alot if enemies before you were knocked out
Looks wayyy OP

you're so lucky!
👍👏
ILS NE PASSERONT PAS
Did you win?
Yes, we did end up winning the game.
Name of the game?
whoops i mean soissons
Why you don't fix?😐🌯
it's a behemoth, they cannot be repaired at all.
Lol
You can't repair behemoths, as that would be way too op
@ClearSkyGamer eh, true
