Alternate title: How to get Urbosa to say you look cute in drag, Revali to acknowledge you, Daruk to prove he can read, and a minute to finally go on a date with Mipha.
underrated comment ✨
And how she said if only the princess could have seen you in it 😅😅😅
@@kingturg1614 Even funnier when you consider that Zelda was watching over Link the entire time.
She ABSOLUTELY saw him not only dress in drag, but also bait some random dude out of his boots with said drag

Another alternative for Urbosa: How to find out she had a definite thing for Zelda’s mother. ( the diary 👀 )
"The hero of the Rito against Hyrule's mightiest knight! A BATTLE FOR THE AGES!"
I love how Revali gets so into this thought that he doesn't even realize he just *wholeheartedly* admitted his respect for Link's strength. XD
I love revali so very much
At that point he respected Link. The great calamity earned him his respect.
This is why it bothers me so much that people hate Revali and pretend he was never a good character, because this stuff existed from the moment the boss fight with wind blight was over, and they just DON'T even try to understand him.
@@seansean792 Oh man, those people. The people that make snap judgements and refuse to look beneath the surface level.
It's perfectly okay to dislike a character, but trying to pretend that what you dislike is all there is to them is just pathetic and almost kind of delusional -- just like when those people would rather look even stupider than ever admit they're wrong!
He’s sweet inside 😂
Urbosa: Read my diary.
Daruk: Read my diary, little guy!
Revali: I'm not the author of my diary. Misleading title, I know.

Frankly the bit where revali says that there’s nobody left who remembers him is more heartbreaking than any of the others because it must be so awful for him to make him actually have emotion in his voice.
Honestly I really wish you could at least comfort Revali and Mipha by letting them now how they're people's are doing, and that they very much are remembered.
The interesting thing about the Rito is it seems like they are the shortest lived of all the different races in Hyrule, they can’t even fathom that the Champion from 100 years ago is back, he has to be a descendant. They talk like it’s been multiple generations. So to Rivali, it’s been several lifetimes, no wonder he worries nobody remembers him. That’s not true, but you can see why he thinks it is. At least Mipha knew that her father and brother were still around.
Yeah... I know Revali was kind of a jerk, but he must of had a lot of self worth issues deep down to have such a massive ego. The thought of no one remembering him had to have been terrible for him.
@@HeWhoInvites🖕
@@bwminich Yeah it's really interesting especially since in Wind Waker the Rito are evolved from the Zora so you would think that they would have a similar lifespan.

@Dominic Bonogofski He isn't Mute He chooses Not to talk.
@@sleepparalysisdemon7970 that's the exact same thing. There is no difference between someone who is mute and someone who doesn't talk because they choose not to.
Everyone's discussing Mipha's sudden snap about her diary, but not about Revali.
"You may happen upon something called 'The Diary of Revali, the Rito Legend'. Don't believe a word of it! I'm not the author. Misleading title, I know. Got it?"
If anyone wants to write some weird fanfic about him and Link, and I know they will, just please do it from a 1st person perspective and call it 'The Diary of Revali, the Rito Legend'. It would make this even funnier.
RainbowSparkles29
Headcannon; he did write it but he secretly felt bad for talking shit about link because he freed his spirit. He didn’t outright tell him because of his massive ego and the reason he said don’t believe anything Zelda says is because he thought she would tell him she hated him
I need this now
@@ErinOC_1306 I personally think Zelda wouldn’t have said she hated Revali, I think it’s because Zelda witnessed Revali’s failure in training on the day she came to recruit him. That single experience, hearing the self deprecating words Revali spoke to himself, would help Zelda realize that Revali really wasn’t the invincible, perfect warrior he wished he could be. He was afraid that Zelda would say something about how “he really was trying his best to match up with you, you know. He was so hard on himself... I think even his rivalry with you was just to help him feel like he was acknowledged. I think... really, he wanted a friend.”
Even if Zelda was right, Revali would hate for that to be how Link remembered him, especially when they had no real closure in this game.
Now, _Age of Calamity,_ on the other hand... maybe the cocky bird and Link could actually become friends after that game is over, eh?
tbh i would probably read something with that title
It probably already exists. I’ve gone by the belief that no developer has to make attractive characters for their games, because god knows if the fans want saucy, goddamn, they’ll make it themselves and in droves.

Correction:
Daruk: It's not a diary, it's a training journal.
I was confused why Revali didn’t want Link reading the book or even asking Zelda about him, and I realized: both things, if Link believed them, would reveal Revali’s inferiority complex and soft side, and he didn’t want Link to know of his weaknesses. Since Zelda saw firsthand the moment where Revali was struggling, she would be able to tell Link about it, and even beyond death he wanted to at least craft a theoretical “legendary rivalry” between himself and “the mightiest knight in Hyrule” (big praise coming from Revali, of all people!)
This only more firmly solidifies to me how lonely Revali is and he ultimately just wanted acknowledgement (and perhaps eventually, friendship?) from Link. He truly is a tsundere bird, heh

7:20 The fact that you cannot actually do this irritates me to no end.
gamingawesomeness222 Yeah that is kinda sad. Link should've been more open about his actual identity (like "hey Yunobo I'm the dude in Daruk's diary who loves eating lmao"), as well as telling people what he remembers of the champions. Even the Revali deserves to have more Rito remember him, despite him being an ass
Indeed
@@ikeeichenberg9068 I don't blame him. The way I see it, he just has something to prove, kinda like Vegeta from Dragon Ball
Although the fact he's the only one who interacted with someone else but Link after his death is crazy enough in on itself. Proves that Link isn't the only one who can see their souls.
The fact that Urbosa says "That outift again" means that
A) despite having no memories, Link had the same idea to crossdress to get into Gerudo Town as he did 100 years ago
B) that apparently he did this enough for Urbosa to know about it
C) as we know of at least one other person to do this, this isn't uncommon in Hyrule
Read Urbosa's diary.
Kass was also insinuated to have done it as well
It wasn't Link's idea originally to cross dress to get into Gerudo Town. He's kind of been forced to do it in order to actually go in without having to beat the living hell out of the guards that guard the entrances to the town. Of course, we know he is the most successful swordsman in all of Hyrule, and he wields the sword of evil's bane, so he could definitely pull this off, but him being who he is, and not wanting to hurt anyone unnecessarily, he opts in to wearing a disguise. Which is pretty stupid, since I'm sure they could make an exception for the Hylian Champion, especially if he's trying to save the whole world from complete destruction, but of course there is always the debate of which is scarier: crimson or corruption? And the answer is always: government corruption.
Actually it's explained in urbosas diary that zelda used to abuse the fact that males arnt allowed in gerudo town to get away from link. So this led to Urbosa telling link to cross dress in order to be able to enter with zelda
The fact that even Urbana and Riju couldn't make an exception for Link and had to keep his identity a secret within the village shows how they have no power in changing that rule. It's manifested within the villages culture. A rule that shall never be broken
Is no one else going to agree that Mipha’s never mind was the saddest thing ever? What was she going to say, she loved Link or something?
exactly. and that makes me really sad.
She was likely going to confess to him. It is really sad because that was probably her last chance. In real life people only have their lifetime to confess to the people they love. Mipha had that plus some time in her after life and she never went through with it.

But it is still sad for the fact that Mipha couldn't confess her love and give him the zora armor, it's really obvious the ceremonial purpose of the armor when you get it, but Link can't bring up how special it is.
Mipha had her last chance to talk about that, but I assume she didn't wanted to add more guilt to Link, more than he already has with the little memory he had about his past.

I love how Urbosa implies that Link has worn the Gerudo set at least once before 100 years ago.
There was an entry where this was alluded to in the main game with Zelda’s diary. After her outburst with Link she hid in Gerudo Town where Link couldn’t follow her because no male/voe was allowed inside. When that happened, Link had help from Urbosa to get inside using the set in order to continue doing his job. This information is locked behind the Champion’s Ballad however, so it’s meaningless to one who wished to play the main game and nothing else.
I saw it theorized that Revali is an orphan, since we never once see mention of his parents when every other kid* character (Zelda, Link, and Mipha) all have their parents talked about at least once. To Revali, the Rito are his family (and the Champions a little bit too). He is such a huge softie when it comes to them (dont come for me, i will go on a rant about Revali for days). That things about no one remembering him just hurts because that was his family
*i say kid because in Urbosa's diary she mentioned them all being so young. Her and Daruk are the adults in the situation.
