😊👍 Hi Ken! Yes! We are going on two and half years in ours. We have been pretty happy overall. The buying experience was pretty rough, but we got through it. Thanks for checking out the video!🤣🍺🇺🇸
😊 Hi Carrie, We are in the Pacific Northwest, in Oregon, near the Washington border. I recently did a video after two years in our home. I love it!!! I am a knitter and follow your wife on the knitting podcast! We are getting ready to sell our big home (with stairs!) and have already picked out our manufactured home. Making a trip to Florida this weekend to look at our land across the street from the Suwannee River. We have been in Georgia for the last 21yrs, and plan on moving back home. We picked out a Farmhouse plan that is very close to your layout!!! So excited for you and Michelle!!! Ready to do this thing!!!
Now THIS made my heart smile! YAY!!! Can’t wait to see how Mizz M decks out the place!!! The light is MASSIVE at the end of the tunnel...you’re almost there! HUZZAH!!! 😂 “Yarnshire” LOVE IT! And you’re probably right, not much of any clothes in that closet 😉. You’ve worked so hard to bring this dream to life. Here’s to you & yours and wonderful new memories!!!!
At this point I'd say very well done! Can't wait for you guys to move in. It's a beautiful home and so worth the time and all the effort. Just think when Christmas rolls around, the whole family can come and you can enjoy it together.
Lighting, dry wall taping and mudding? Forgive me, but aren't you able to do this yourself? Surely you can do electrical work, then finish off the dry wall (unless this was covered by the double wide purchase?). I'm 65, and still can do my own work, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, dry wall (for somebody else because all I use sheet rock for is a firebreak). I put in tongue and groove yellow knotty pine in my home, just like my Dad did in the house I grew up in. I hate pastel coloured dry wall - it has no life, no character. The only use for it is where it is not normally seen, like for closets and small bathrooms where there is moisture to deal with. All other surfaces need wood or wood pattern paneling. For new construction, put it up carefully and tastefully, as it will last for generations. I built a place in Macedon, NY the same way, lived in it for 14 years until NY taxed me out of the State ( taxed for this, permit for that, permit for a bloody birdbath?), God help me! So, I left NY for being taxed too much and being told I can't do this or that, it was like an HOA hung over my head 24/7 and the Governor was an ass. Since 1993, I have lived in Southern Alabama, and loved it. 15 acres of trees and wildlife, no close houses, good neighbors, and absolutely NO covenants or restrictions. Just like Heaven on Earth! I'd rather endure the occasional hurricane than the B-S I fought against in NY any day. Now, Cuomo is the ass I was glad to avoid, what a short tool he is. Good Luck in your home adventure wherever you are!
Hi there! Yes, all the finishing touches are part of the purchase and maintain the home warranty. Believe me, I would have loved to finish it up myself! Sounds like you had quite a time in New York, I’m glad you found happiness in Alabama. Thanks for stopping by the channel and commenting on the video!🚜😊🇺🇸🍺
Palm Harbor builds top of line manufactured homes. I had a modular w/ mother in law suite, lots of square footage, loved it.
