Installing a BOV in Polo 1.0 TSI !

- In this video i am installing a Blow off valve in my friend's Polo 1.0 TSI.
This blow off valve expels the excess boost to the atmosphere each time the driver takes their foot off the throttle, instead of routing it back in the engine, the benefit is a free-er spinning turbo and this should help with turbo lag as well.

6:54 What a sound !!! It really suits the mods on the car ❤❤❤❤.
Do the Ambient light retrofit solution. Much needed
Hi!
I have a question isn't it gonna affect a little amount of performance? Since the turbo is already having an internal wastegate (correct me if i am wrong)
By the way awesome diy great explanation quality content hands down 🙇❤️
Hey, apparently for the 1.0 and 1.2 TSIs the engine benefits with a BOV which expels to atmosphere , for bigger engines you’re right it is counter intuitive and mostly this type of BOV is installed mostly for the pleasure of the driver.
Bro can i use liqui moly ceratec in my polo tsi 1.0 to decrease the engine vibration and sound?
brother I need 6R to 6C tail light adaptor plz help
Doesn't Polo TSI turbo cars come with stock blow of valve?
how much the BOV cost you for polo ?
Prerak what exactly a blow off valve does? Is it like a turbocharger which spools and gives more power?
Blow off valve releases the extra boost pressure when throttle is lifted (I have explained in very simple, but you can google to know more)
@@ketanpote9537 Thanks!
Is it worth doing Bov on diesel swift or any other alternatives?
Diesels don’t have a throttle body, they just have an anti shudder valve and that’s why they can’t have a BOV fitted to them, BOV works solely with throttle.
Where was the excess pressure run to before?
Back into the intake
It’s like when you are about to sneeze but then you cover your mouth and nose. This opens so that the excess pressure is released.
Same kit will be used in 1.0 kushaq. Right? BOV purchase link?
Yes it’ll be same, it can be purchased directly from forged motorspprt’s website
@@PrerakKataria thanks a lot. one more quest - do we have to remap? or is it necessary to remap? i have upgraded k&n air filter. i dont want to mess with ecu/tcu since car is under warranty for 4 more years with a good milege.
With a remap the whistle of the BOV will be louder and the map will take full benefit of the filter and the BOV, even without a map it’ll have the same functionality but without any gains in power or performance, so it’s okay to have it without a map as well if power or performance is not what you’re looking for
As a 1.2TSI owner...what do you feel about 1.0TSI?
It’s not as refined as the 4 cyl 1.2, but holds more power and potential than the 1.2 as well, so if one can look over the lack of refinement, 1.0 is better
What is the full form of bov
Blow off valve
Can it be done in 1.2 mpi
And is it worth the price ?
Also could you suggest me some easy performance mods for my 1.2 mpi ? As it's a little laggy while accelerating.
BOV is only for turbo vehicles
To get some more power out of your 1.2 mpi get a replacement filter and customer exhaust headers, but if you have the budget for it, swap the car for a 1L or 1.2 tsi one, because no matter what is done to the 1.2 mpi, it will stay a little sluggish
Bro MPI is a slow horse 😞 I own a 1.2 MPI so i’ve realised this thing. But something is far better than nothing 😃
Getting it tuned is also an option but definitely not a worthy decision bcz tsi gains around 25-30bhps whereas a mpi barely derives 6-7bhp😂
Is it worth spending that money just for the sound??
Depends from person to person really
Sound could maybe be a part of the experience maybe.
You’d probably have a different opinion once you’ve been in one of these machines
@@KathirVelaa thts absolutely true mate, and is the same reason I've 1.8 TSI GTI here in United Kingdom 😊.
Hey everyone, I'm not against it, I was just asking out of curiosity. I'm a student and I want to spend my money wisely on car mods. Apart from that, nothing else. No hate to VAG cars, I personally own a GTI 1.8.
It will decrease in gear lag ?
Yes it should decrease turbo lag and maintain boost through the gear change
@@PrerakKataria it will reduce time in 0-100 acceleration?
Can we add BOV to a 2.0 TDI?
No, it can’t be added in diesels as it only has a anti shudder valve and not a throttle body
@@PrerakKataria My 2.0 TDI slightly makes the blowoff valve sound when foot is lifted... How is it possible?... I don't have any blowoff valve installed.... The sound can be heard clearly on silent environment
You must have had your charged pipe changed, the one which goes from the turbo to the Intercooler, they have a muffler in them and when changed, usually mechanics install one without a muffler. I experienced a similar case with an older diesel engine. Also, there could be a leak in intake which makes a flutter sound.
Laura updates ?

Is a GT TDI worth it right now? Im thinking of a project car but i run pretty high every month so TSI will burn a hole in my wallet.
