Love the challenge, I really was missing seeing your passion on video. I have a long-term plan I'm working on. Currently I'm breeding for the enjoyment and learning. To me if fish start breeding it means I have successfully provided an environment where the fish are happy and feel safe. My entire presence on UA-cam is to establish a reputation and familiarity for the next 10 years. Hopefully by then I will be very close to retiring and will have created a potential customer base by then. I will have had more than a decade of breeding experience under my belt. Maybe by then the breeding for profit will have become a thing for me. At the very minimum I will have a routine that i can look forward too when i don't have to go to work anymore. Keeping active and away from the couch. It really is great having you back.

Breeding fish should ALWAYS be fun, making a little money from it is just a bonus. Lots of people like myself breed fish for the "Breeders awards points" you get from your local fish club. As you acquire more and more points you change rank. You can go from Hobbyist to Breeder to Advanced breeder, Master breeder, etc..... In order to get the points you must bring in at least 6 fish from a spawn that's 60 days old. The fish are then auctioned off at the club meeting. Depending on the club you could get a percentage of the auctioned price. It's hard to tell a fish to only lay 6 eggs, so I usually end up with a bunch of extra fish, so I sell them to my LFS or to local hobbyists to make room for spawning the next fish. A hobbyist can breed for profit, you just need to breed the right fish. There really is MUCH more but I'm tired of typing.

I really enjoy caring for and breeding fish, shrimp, isopods and millipedes because it’s so interesting I do make profit from them but also do loads of trading for new species plants and other supplies ❤ it’s all a passion more than anything and a high
