I have made this dress a little larger by adding stitches to the starting chain and multiplying. I used this skirt with the Blueberry top. It turned out awesome. I am now using this skirt with the top to the Toddler Dress with the Bolero jacket. I love the way your patterns allow for mix and match bodices and skirts. Thank you for your great tutorials. I made this dress for my granddaughter, 2 years ago. It came together so nicely.
She was born 2 months too early,, only weighed 2 lbs, in the nicu for 48 days.
There was a baby girl who was born addicted to methadone next to her, she was born normal weight. I ended up giving that dress to her, as it fit her, and Mom had hardly any clothes for her.

I love this pattern in the dress, I have made this dress twice...You can alter the size to a smaller one that fits a doll by using a number 3 yarn and a 3mm hook...

Katrina Pajo the dress fits 0-3 months. From the looks of it, I would make the neck wider but the length should be good for 6 months.

Now I don't have a newborn girl nor do I know anyone w/a newborn girl, but what I do have is a "baby Tender Love" babydoll from my childhood that fits size newborn clothes!!! This would be perfect to make for my doll! I don't know how I managed to hold on to the doll through all the moves I made but, I have and yes would fit her perfectly!!!!! Can't wait to get started on this project!!! I have done this dress as small to fit a 11 inch reborn doll, to make it that small just use number 3 baby yarn and a 2 mm crochet hook..

I love this little dress so I decided to buy the pattern. However it’s a nightmare trying to crochet with Caron soft yarn. The yarn is splitting every stitch I make so I had to abandon the project. Sorry I spent money on this lousy yarn. I happen to have a skein of Red Heart soft so when I can I will buy that brand. I am also making the sassy sailor dress. I am using the Caron but it doesn’t seem to be as bad as the other project. The sailor dress is berry blue and the sugar plum dress is red, so I am wondering if the colors are making the difference. Anyway maybe I will knit something with the red yarn as I don’t want to waste it.
Anyway I absolutely love your patterns. I am also making a big rose granny square afghan for Christmas. By the way your daughter is adorable in that sailor dress!

Hey Crystal, I got kinda confused whenever you went to trim the collar you started with White, but after I finished that your video started over and said to start with the same color as the dress first. I think that the first time in white was not suppose to be there right? Thanks for any information.
