hey man just wanted to say you've influenced my life a great amount and I'm forever grateful. I've been subbed since the trash pile drift vid and it inspired me to pick up my first Volvo a few months ago, a manual turbo black 740 wagon identical to yours and it's an absolute blast. the best part is I met a girl who drives an 87 240 wagon at the gas station we started talking about our bricks, exchanged numbers and we've been dating for nearly 3 months now and we always watch your vids together. it fucking cracks me up because I would've never in a million years expected my wagon to "get the ladies". love the vids man, keep it up and again, thank you. 💕

Had a 740 for 10 years. Best car in the world hands down. Tree fell in it due to storm. The car was 28 years old, never failed me. Was so fun to drive. Seats amazingly comfortable on long road trips. No blind spots. Sinple mechanics. I loved the sound of the engine. I have a v70 and an xc70 which I love, particularly my 2005 v70, but I will always miss my 740 ... that car was so special to me.
if you want the "pure sweden setup" then buy two pairs of oceans mk18 wheels... its a tradition ;)

The easiest way to widen the fenders is to put the wheels back on and take some pipes and just roll it between the wheel and the fender, works like a charm and saves you a whole lot of work!
In sweden we just pull the entire spring! #ÅKABÖTT

Next time don't cut the springs but instead use an acetylene torch on the coils you want to lose. Stoke them red hot while the weight of the car is on the spring. That coil will collapse. Next coil, next coil until you reach the desired ride height.
Nice added bonus is that the spring will still fill the entire travel lenght so it will not jump out of it's perch.
Where i live these cut springs would mean an INSTANT tech inspection fail... it's really unsafe because the spring has way to much space in between lower and upper perch. You could however improve the situation a small bit by strapping the lowest coil of the spring to the control arm while the weight is on the springs using 1 or 2 heavy jubilee clip(hose clamp)
Springs are cheap.
Never cut your springs.
Run without them.

Street Forged yea some low with wide 15 inch wheels just does it everytime for me , i wouldnt have it any other way . i think i have inspired a good amount of people to get themselves into an old brick . in my area im finding it increasingly hard to snag up the good deals because everyone else now knows they make good drift cars haha! thanks for watching bro

I had a very rare 1990 740 wagon. It was a 740 Turbo 16 Valve. (B204FT). The guy that bought it from me checked around a little and it is the only original 740 Turbo 16 Valve in Norway.

Ghetto spring cutting - OMG! Years ago I dropped the springs on my car by 2 inches, but I pulled them and locked them in a vise before cutting. I found it pays not to cut more than one full loop off the spring, and remount the spring with the cut end at the top so it can't be seen. Saved myself about $800 compared to buying 4 new springs. Ride is a bit harsh but handling a lot better.

glad you like the channel bro ! the rims on the car are old school boyd coddington 5 stars from the 90s . was a relatively common wheel back in the day on various hotrod style builds . the spacers i use are 32mm addapters that allow me to run a 5x4.5 bolt pattern

I cut my fronts not long ago, only did 1.25 on the front and the whole spring unwound and was a bitch to get back up, if i cut some more off is there a certain point where I can freely move the spring and sit it back into place without having to put 3 spring clamps on the bastard, I want to take more off but I don't want to have the same problem where it took me an hour to seat it back into position, hope that makes sense
