    All boats should be turned back. Britain is not an orphanage.

      No it’s not an orphanage but UK has been part of the issue creating those orphans in the world by supporting and being part of illegal wars destroying countries / structures leaving those people with nothing . So those people have to find somewhere else to go. We are our own worst enemy.

    There are double standards being applied for Spouse and Family visas.
    1. Bringing your spouse to the UK is NOT an automatic right.
    2. You have no right to bring your spouses immediate family to settle in the UK.
    3. The income threshold level has happened because UK immigration doesn`t take anymore into consideration your spouses potential income.
    4 The only way you can have your spouses family enter the UK is via Tourist Visa, Work Permit or a Student
    5. The cost of a Spouse Visa application is approximately £2000 plus. If the Spouse Visa is approved you still have to keep paying the Home Office to extend spouse temporary residence and again when they can apply for permanent settlement in the UK.
    6. No right for a spouse to claim UK Benefits.
    1. Asylum and Refugees can bring all there immediate family.
    2 Automatically given a 5 year 6 month Temporary UK Residence.
    3. Can obtain UK Benefits etc.
    A double standard is being applied to all UK citizens verses Asylum or Refugees.

      Thank you for this post. I am a 70 year old British Citizen currently retired and living in the Philippines, with a Filipino wife and a son entitled to British Citizenship. We are effectively stuffed if we want to return to the UK, as there is no way that I could get a relatively high paying job at age 70 and with normal age-related medical conditions. My son will be able to go to the UK, but not my wife, even though she is degree-educated and a trained practical nurse.

    £29,000 . Are people earning that much? And if not, does that means families will be kept apart, is it?

      @antsekaolenga9724 to earn that money 29k you have to work hard or get two jobs,like most people do to bring their families.

    Please remove dependent visas. People who studied in the UK are not getting jobs and dependents are stealing jobs.

      So are those same people have the same level of education. Most higher paying jobs require a degree, certification, followed by the interview process. Nothing is given. A business don’t want to be sued and held liable because cause your not qualified. Have to step your game up.

    • @vayunandanaraogovada5386
      @vayunandanaraogovada5386 27 днів тому

      @thehulk1177 only qualified will get those who studied in the UK. Here is the issue is dependent. If they wish to get a job, they should also study. It would be much better if a UK citizen would answer this question.

    It means no family reunification in UK.
    My friend has a dependent and vulnerable sister but she can’t ask her to join. There is no way to join each other. Both sisters are living alone in different countries.
    And they can’t return to their country as well. 😢

    People are worried those who have less salary below 28000.They have dependents with them and when they renew 3 year visa that time their dependents visa will be renewed or not?

      @j.fkennedy2637 Місяць тому

      If you earn less than 29,000 in order to be qualified, you need to have 1 full time and 1 part time job, and both you should be working permanently so that you can provide 6 months payslips, otherwise the application will be refused.

    Nobody moves to another country because they are kind and want to help their economy. They do it to help themselves. Why do people make it sound like we owe them a debt of gratitude.
