Your amp not good at handling the low frequency’s I suggest getting a amp that’s better at that like a boss katana or a Marshall MG30GFX those are some good amps for $300
Gain is overdrive if you crank the gain up it becomes overdrivin the more gain the more overdrive, if you have a overdrive knob it is a more intense gain knob that overdrives the sound more than a gain knob will
to get a good metal tone you need this: gain 7.5-10, master volume atleast 3, mids at 3-4 bass at 7.5-8, and treble at 7-7.5. Implying that your amp has a drive setting if you have a standalone disortion pedal it most likely has a tone knob a gain/drive/dist/level knob. The boss distortion which is the most common distortion pedal put level to where it's equal with your amps master volume more or less. and put the dist at 7-10 depending on your preference.
Sorry but in no universe does matching bass and treble sound good. MOP despite being one of the greatest albums of all time has one of the worst guitar tones. I'd suggest trying bass at 5 or 6 then treble at least 2 higher.
Don't you realize that there's a million amps out there that don't sound remotely close to each other? Those numbered settings mean nothing. Put the mids at "3-4" in my Peavey 6505 and it will sound great, but do that with my Dual Rectifier and it will be a can of bees. Anyone that recommends numbered settings without knowing the specific amp, is showing they clearly have no idea what they're talking about.
Oh yeah cause nothings more metal then cutting yourself out the mix. Stop scooping the fucking mids. Your guitar doesn't sound metal. It doesn't sound like anything at all because its being buried by the bass
I've been playing flamenco for several years and my wife got me an electric guitar. Decided to take on the challenge of learning to play metal. This video alone helped my guitar not sound like a soggy underwater acoustic guitar with loose steel strings.
I use high gain amps so my personal rule is never go over 6 Gain! It’s so weird for me to go up to 7, I feel like my room is gonna blow into pieces if I do that 😂
"how to get a killer metal tone on every amp with this quick trick" this tone sounds like the cowboy from hell in question farted into a $25 Amazon condenser and then rendered the audio in 16 bits

Stock up on Behringer pedals lmao. I play guitar on a Line 6 Lowdown Studio 110 bass amp that my aunt gave me cause I couldn't afford a guitar amp but it sounds great with them. They're cheap and plastic, but they use the same circuits as the pedals they're copying for $30 a piece. I have 2 Behringer pedal boards, the 6 and 12 piece models and the TU300 Tuner, UO300 Octaver, NR300 Noise Reducer, OD300 Overdrive and Distortion, TO800 Vintage Tube Overdrive (Vintage Tube Screamer copy🔥), TM300 Tube Modeler, DR600 Reverb, and VD400 Delay. All really good pedals. Ironically the only fancy pedal I have is a Lone Wolf Audio Left Hand Wrath and it doesn't work.
Causes way too much buzz when u turn up the gain. Leave it between 7-9, use a ts9 or whatever pedal as a boost along with a noise gate, compressor, and an eq pedal
If I did this, they would evict me instantly. Also, I live next to, down from, and up from many neighbors. It would also cause many of them to instantly vaporize, combust, go deaf/blind, and cause mass ear bleed to everyone within the whole complex.
No amp sounds the same, byt in metal context, get an overdrive pedal to boost the amp (pedal volume max, tone at noon, and no gain), then don't use too much gain so it doesn't get muddy, dont forget to add enough middle to be able to hear ur guitar thru mix, and treble to your own liking but not too little or too much.

Yeah also the eq should probably look something like treble is mid to high, mids are mid to low, bass is high
erm actually eq can be all sorts of ways and not all metal tones have scooped mids
I mean do what you want but you'll wash out your tone with all that bass and gain.
