    I did this in Waterford and it was so muddy! I worked and lived on a almond farm green behind the ears. I learned so much from 2015 to 2020! panels and non-parels, neighbors independents, other neighbors old orchard of Padres, buttes.
    Right now, I would be pulling all the rows, getting rid of any yellow jackets and relaxing!

    Interesting to see how they are planted and also the different irrigation method used. I work at an almond orchard in Australia (NSW) and we just use the drip lines full of holes. But do like the idea of the sprinklers.

    Nice to see drip on almond orchards. Remember driving out to Oakdale and seeing square miles of almond orchards flooded in the middle of summer. Humidity was insane since so much evaporation.

    Great video, good to see how orcharding is done in california USA, appreciate how you explain the processes. What is the type of sprinkler with range limiter you are using? Im also guessing you use 20mm lateral tube down the row? Thanks

    • @CaliforniaFarmer
      @CaliforniaFarmer  Рік тому

      Thank you! We use netafim micro sprinklers that produce a 9ft diameter covered area. While the trees are this young, we have them reduced to 3ft diameter.

  • @CyberAutomate

    How many acres was that? What kind of money does it take to get the trees in the ground? Once planted how long until you see any crop from those trees?

    • @CaliforniaFarmer
      @CaliforniaFarmer  Рік тому

      We planted an additional 125 to our existing orchards so we are now up to 250 acres of trees. All ill say is that it takes A LOT of money! After 3 years from planting we will harvest our first crop.
