My course 1 Exam is on Monday! Your videos have made me less nervous and have helped me so much! Also Passit is incredible & I appreciate you recommending it!
Sarah, was the material and exam questions from passit sufficient to pass the exam? were the exams questions exact or similar to the passit exam questions?
Why do you suggest not to take notes? Just curious because I have been taking a lot of notes so far. I don’t want to be waiting my time but also I think it is helping me absorbed the information.
Hey Leah, for me taking notes was becoming counterproductive. It was taking too much time and I didn’t feel like I was retaining the info any better. So after course 1, I stopped staking notes and solely tried on Passit and Quizlets. And I passed each exam on the first try. So it worked for me. In speaking with many other students they felt the same way. I hope that was a good enough explanation to your question 👍
Heyy yes it does have a certain time limit for each course it’s different. Check out their website and they laid it there. Ranges anywhere from 4-8 weeks I believe.
Hi Tory. I'm currently completing the course this year for a career change. Thank you for posting these videos. I have some issues with the content of information in just the first course. It seems to be overly profuse. I cant imagine having to retain the data required on the "historical significance of Surveys" etc. Any advice as to what is important as opposed to what is just excessive data?
Do you take the actual exam on the proctortrack website like you did with the onboarding exam? Or do you access it through the humber learner portal? Thanks
I feel like it is taking a lot of time going through the modules and taking notes for the slides, would you recommend simply downloading the pdf files and reading through instead? Did you find taking lots of notes helpful?
Heyyy Jason! Yes I completely agree. Taking notes takes too much time. I found using passit more strategically to be of more use. Personally I stopped taking notes half way through C1. I mention it in my 6 exam tips video. I also saved the PDF slides and read it on my iPad to make it easier to read. The PDF doesn’t capture the videos so you would have to go ba k for those. Send me an email and we can talk some more of how I did things. Toryinrealty@gmail.com
Hi Tory! Thanks for this video! My C1 exam is on Feb 13th. I’m not necessarily inclined to buy Passit for the first course (since I have limited income due to Covid to invest into this program, and I think I’d rather buy it for C2 onwards). Is there any free quizlets you’d recommend for someone in my predicament?
Heyy, yeah thats a good idea to be strategic. C2 is a really big course so that will defiantly help for that one. For C1, send me an email and I'll share some resources I have with you. Toryinrealty@gmail.com
Could you possibly talk about and provide some information about the Humber Real Estate admissions exam? I’ve tried to find some information on it as I’ll be taking it this year but don’t know what to study and how to prep
Hey, so I haven’t taken the admissions exam myself but I’m speaking with a few people, this is what I’m told. It’s 3 parts reading, writing, arithmetic. On each section I had to get a score above 250 to pass. Reading was basically comprehension. Writing was like punctuation and rewording sentences. Maths percentage, conversion of percentage, fractions, addition and subtraction and word problem solving questions. You have to pay $75 for the exam. Then they send a receipt and then another email with a voucher informing you that you can now schedule a date to take the exam which is online through Proctortrack, it was about and hour long. During the exam no calculator, they have a calculator built in the exam in which you can use. Here is a website that can help you practice with similar questions accuplacer.collegeboard.org/students/prepare-for-accuplacer/practice
Heyyy. It took me about 5 weeks to get through it all. And then 2 weeks to study. It could be done sooner but for me this was during the time of the first quarantine so things slowed down. But it all depends on how much reading you want to put in each day.
@@ToryInRealty Hi Tory, have you started to work as an agent yet?! 2. do you know if the exams are going to be from home or is this going to be changed soon?! Thx

Hello Tory! Thank you for sharing informative stuffs! I have just applied for the program and will start course 1 soon (still working on some stuffs).. I was wondering how long would it take for the whole program to finish?
Yayy that’s great. Congrats on starting the journey! Send me an email and I will get you my detailed breakdown. But in general is you do it strictly full time, some ppl have finished in 4 months. Me personally, took me 6 months. But of course you have up to the full 24 months to complete it.
Hey! There is no option for a physical book. I wish there was. All the material are accessed online hunber learning portal. There is an option to save the slides ads pdf. But you have to do it for each module.
Yes! I wrote it down on the paper and left it on my desk. And when I did the desk scan right before the exam they could see the paper with my log in info. 👍
Just a quick question because I’m confused, the login info that I will be writing down is my Proctortrack username and password right? Nothing to do with humber? Because I know that on the day of exam you login to the testing.verificient.com if I’m not mistaken? Which is basically proctortrack website and then you open proctor track app on your phone and laptop? Sorry for all the questions just trying to be thorough with everything.
Do you think passit material and test will help or the course material provided is good ? And how soon can you do the course 1 I just registered it yesterday.
Hey. So once you purchase the course you start it the next business day. Most people read it in 3-4 days and then study for 1-2 weeks. And yes passit is definitely helpful for the exams.
Hi Tory, I have my first exam next Monday, is it available during the final exam to open PDF because in the proctortrack exam they say we can use PDF files on computer. I am a little bit confused
Heyy. That’s great good luck on your exam. For PDF files, no during the exam you wouldn’t be using any. Only if you have a approved special accommodation in place.
did something change with the program? when i first started last sept it said real estate essentials was only 15 hours, i got 72 percent on the test and then took a break due to covid and when i came back its showing that its 40 hours now.. did they add more info?
Haha yeah that’s one of their glitches. I noticed the same thing. Luckily I took pictures of all the course breakdowns when it first came out. But for some reason they seemed to have tripled the amounts. I can’t give you a straight answer why 🤷🏾♀️ I called and asked and they said they’re working on correcting it. That was 4 months ago.
@@ToryInRealty it such a dry read for me and all new to me that it almost does take me that long to read lol. i worry that if i struggle with essentials then how bloody bad will i do with the next courses, which im sure a lot of people relate to..
