Even the way Scorpio rubs his leg with his boot, and wiggles his fingers when he puts his gloves on makes this scene classic. There are so many more scenes like this with very memorable clips. Amazing film.
I like Reni and Andy show up in 80s cheese fest Cobra. After this is over I’d like to celebrate by punching a big hole in montys chest and no hard feelings. Great frikin scenes. Oh yeah “clean up your act “ “pigggg”
It's perfect. I'm listening to it yet again. Now I just noticed the tiny little intro drum fill at 2:14. Nothing to it, but it's another perfect detail.
I love the three back to back double kicks. What a beat man. So off kilter and disturbing. Almost as disturbing as what that park must look like today.

It seemed like he preferred 12 year old girls to satisfy his perverted desires... later on he kidnapped and raped a young girl called Mary Ann Deacon... left her for dead.
Andy Robinson was absolutely outstanding as ‘Scorpio’ And apparently the story was actually based on fact with the unsolved ‘Zodiac’ killings at the time.
THE MUSIC AND AT THE TIME OF HIM ASSEMBLING HIS RIFLE. IS BAD ASS !!!! THAT CHOPPER COP OMG NO WAY HE COULD HAVE SEEN HIM ON THE ROOF FROM WHERE THEY WERE !!! NOT WITHOUT BINOCULARS !!! Lol
Well at 2:30, when he begins to assemble his rifle; the guitar riff either sounds like an evil version of 'Sgt Pepper' or a toned down version of Jimmy Page from Led Zep's 'immigrant song', complete with a woman's toned down version of Robert Plant's: aaaaAAAH vocals.
It sounds more like a monophonic synth, probably a minimoog, although it will also have a bass guitar underneath. If you listen to Jamiroquai's early albums Stuart Zender and Toby Smith had a very similar sound for the heavier funk tunes, and were influenced by Lalo.

I hated how they tried to make him as the most dislikable person on the planet. They got an amazing actor just to fill in the hatred of the audience. They make him a loser, racist, homophobic, idiotic, psychotic person. This actor deserved to be a cunning, impressive, surgical psychotic killer.
+Plato Smith Andy Robinson was an inspired choice for the role. His "Scorpio" is a total psychopath, but you could pass him in the street without a second glance. He played a similar despicable character in "Kill Charlie Varrick", a little known telemovie made around the same time.
Plato Smith actually the character was supposed to be based on the Zodiac killer who haunted San Francisco a year earlier than the filming. I have a mixed feeling about the picture I love Eastwood and the location and the lalo jazz score but have issues with the philosophy behind the film.

Honestly my favorite villain in any film. Andy Robinson’s performance of a psychopath in this movie is awfully underrated.
“Come to daddy ...” 👍🏽
The bus scene when he molest the children hostages was very hard to make according to him
I can't see how his performance is underrated. It is his signature character. He was typecast because of it.

I saw it in the theater when it debuted. Audiences were blown away. Harry was a hit.
The score, especially from 2:10 is Lalo Schifrin at his absolute best. The driving intensity when he's assembling the gun is genius.
This music is so amazing

@Clovis Point hell no
Always watch this film when it's on TV nothing else comes close just iconic
The music is like a drum clinic!! I love it!!!🥁🎼🎧👌🏾
Andy Robinson was just fantastic as Scorpio
Creepiest dude in town. 😬

@Pk Suleiman 😆 I've never bothered watching it.
This is just Fucking Great. The music is perfect and the drum beating shifting from where he losses and then reacquires his victim makes the scene!
Master piece,sublime interpretation.
Suspenseful music and a great character....what more could you want
The sickist film ever made .. Respect

What a cesspool from Hell it must be, today.
Without a doubt one of if not the #1 best Dirty Harry villain considering that he was the first one to appear in the series.
That rifle , always fascinated me got to wiki it up
Arisaka Type 02 Paratrooper Takedown rifle (rechambered in .30-06 Springfield) fitted with a suppressor. 👍🏻
Drumming is spot on
HINT: If you ever want to catch and detain someone, don't warn that person by yelling, "Hey, you!".

The music is very 1970s -- nothing like it before or since.

He was a sniper in Nam. Why they left that out is beyond me
