Nice video Edo, Sikorsky makes one of the top notch rotor wings in the world if not the top. Their versatility is unmatched, i have seen them in military use for all types of situations, i have seen them designed for sight seeing tours in the u.s., usually in larger cities like new york, chicago, L.A., etc... and i have seen them used in in the u.s. by travel industry to fly passengers within their nautical range, they are just top of the line and very versatile, great video.
I love these magnificent pieces of equipment. I don’t fly and I’m not in the military, but it’s hard not to appreciate their engineering excellence. Hail our Brave Service Members. Strength and Honor. 👍🏽
The uh60 is in a restricted military surplus category in civilian world which means it can only be used as a cargo carrier. I don’t think you were seeing it used as a touring helicopter.
100% correct. It has never been manufactured for commercial aviation to ferry passengers. It would raise the price to the public to meet FAA passenger aircraft specs.@@joshsager743
Mi 17's have proven to be better in most roles though..
But Black Hawk is still a classic.

I fought forest fires out of an Alouette III. While they are the best "High" altitude helicopter in the world, they simply don't have the payload and cabin space capacity of the UH60. The Alouette cannot even compare to the range and continuous flight speed of the UH60. For an attack flight platform, Alouette has never made anything that can ever come close to the AH64. No one has. And no, Sikorski did not use the concept of Alouette. He is an independent inventor with his own ideas. His company continues to bring revolutionary ideas to the world and battlefields that eventually spread into commercial aviation to make it better, worldwide.
