Anybody try tubes for wellies through a hole in the ice? I might try it tomorrow. Got some greenish brown sparkly ones. There's some big smallies and trout in there too.
Nice setup. I'm thinking strongly about mounting my Penn Battle 2 2500 on to a St. Croix 7" medium/light fast action Eyecon spinning rod. the reel is already spooled with 20lb Maxcuatro super braid and is tied to a Berkley Vanish 15lb fluorocarbon leader with an FG knot. I can't wait to get out under the dam next March and try it all out.
Another great video Karl, question about a lake you may have been to sparrow lake? Any advice on fishing for walleye there? We usually go up the first week of August (timeshare cottage)
Hey Scott, thanks for the watch. Yes sir, we have fished Sparrow a lot over the years, one of my fav locations for walleye is along the rocky island edges that have sparse weed growth, not large weed beds, but sparse thin weeds around the rock; another area is the channel edges along the main Trent Severn trail, right on the edge to deeper water, find some weeds, find the walleyes.
what brand of jigheads are those!? i used similar ones when i travelled to bc but ended up losing them all on structure! they were by far the best tube heads ever!
Man I miss the ole days, simplest living taken for granted.
You and I as well.

They certainly work for lake trout.

+TheUnluckyFisherman strike king tour grade lead heads
They are awesome for walleye. Try the Strike King coffee tubes, they have a built-in scent and are soft yet durable in thick weeds, good luck.
Scrap the music.
Little harsh.
ouch, that happened a few years ago lol.
So what color tubes do you find works best?
these red shad ones were killer on the walleye; green pumpkin tones are very popular in most coditions
Thanks for the tip it does work. I was catching bass and walleye. Tubes are great on fishing piers too. @@ExtremeAnglerTV
What St. Croix rods do you us? And fishing line
I use them all! From legend tournament bass and legend Xtreme to Mojo Bass and Bass X
Thank Karl I will look and get some.
