The whole 'Never reload their weapons' thing actually is played seriously in a rather smart way in Persona 5 SPECIALLY in Royal. When the MC enters the Velvet room, it just seems like theyvare staring off intk the distance to everyone else. Yet no one ever thinks to check up on them, despite them zoning out for minutes at a time almost ever time they go into a dungeon
You could explain it by saying the companions are thinking the MC is just kind of metidating to get into the right mindset to lead the party, which you could say they are actually doing by adjusting their personas. I used to do that on my smoke breaks before service when I was working in a restaurant, just take a few minutes to focus and call upon my customer facing mask, or persona if you will.

I wanna go over Yukiko and her fan real quick as I did learn a bit on a trip to Japan recently. So fans were indeed used as weaponry by ninjas back in ancient Japan, and they were usually made out of metal as it could be used as a blunt weapon when folded or a blade when unfolded as the end was usually sharpened. They weren't as common as a concealed balde, but they were indeed useful.
I can actually explain the bar thing. Naoto says they haven't actually served alcohol in years. It's a nonalcoholic bar Also, Morgana is a cognitive being. He doesn't need shots, litter boxes, etc. and judging from the way he acts around Ann, definitely not spayed or neutered

Luckily Ikutsuki gave her name as Aigis. Now imagine if he had never named her, so Toriumi would call the new student as "7th Generation Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapon" (without comas of course)
IIRC, they actually do explain why they mostly stick to realistic firearms in P5. it's a continuation of the "Your Mind Makes It Real" aspect of the Metaverse. The more realistic it looks, the more damage it does. That's why Joker buys from Untouchable, because all of Iwai's stuff looks super realistic. Of course, that opens the question of why Akechi can use blasters and beam swords, but hey.
Well his weapons are still from Untouchable aswell, the better question would be why a military themed airsoft shop sells things like whips, katanas, axes and lightsabers? Or how their weapons still funtion perfectly in Strikers (where Iwais realistic quality can be ensured) or Tactica (where Erina just buys them from "somewhere")? Like the weapons made in the Electric Chair or forged by Lavenza make sense to work since they were made using Personas, but what is Sophia doing? Buying actual real weapons?
@@DustD.ReaperI mean airsoft is pretty niche, I get why Iwai would want to branch out and also sell some cosplay stuff. Sophia on the other hand is probably doing some dark web shit. There is a market for realistic fake guns for robberies.
0:24 - The Superstar Saga remake actually addressed that. Turns out Goombas are casual boulder-busters. A totally normal Goomba (who would go on to become a Captain) was able to headbutt a big rock into chunks with two bonks. The rest of Koopa Troop has to scale around that, since the Goombas are totally bottom rung.
I don’t remember if this was ever explained, but I always found it weird that Yu could buy guns for Naoto in P4. In P3, there aren’t any normal guns, but even if there were, I could accept it due to the special arrangement they have. In p5, the guns aren’t real. In P1 and 2, there’s a bunch of magical shenanigans at play to justify it. In P4 though? Man just walks into a normal shop, asks a guy to hook him up with actual, working guns, and the guy just does it no questions asked. Adachi didn’t even need to become a cop to carry a gun. Man could’ve just went to the Inaba shop and snagged one.
Iirc Yu buys those guns from the blacksmith. We could just handwave it as him already having a permit to make and sell firearms and he brought naoto who definitely has a license to own guns to the blacksmith so he would allow it then I guess
theres strong hints that daidara and the convenience store lady are aware of the tv world, and were potentially persona users themselves in a previous incident
They have guns in P3, but it's already explained why the police dude can't sell them to you. Evokers are gun-shaped, and you don't want to mix up the Evoker with your actual firearms in the heat of battle, that wouldn't end well.
@@altnova6643 Yeah then why they make evokers like gun? XDD They can make it like other things e.g for Koromaru :P But no we must be edgy and dark and make them look like guns XD And stress out some party members to shoot yourself in the head to summon a Persona XD
It has always seemed strange to me that in the entire year that it took the investigation team to solve the case, no one has bought the TV that they use to enter the shadow world.
Then again, if the display model's the last one they have of a product, the store could sell that at a discount. (My own 40' TV that I got to go with the PS4 to play Persona 5 was a former display model.)
"You still ahve swords and boxing gloves and guns. But you also have... coins." Ultrakill players, knowing coins are stronger than nuclear bombs: Yeah, and?
The armor shop in Persona 4 does not question where your party gets the weird materials. Hes just happy to craft stuff if you sell him enough mats dropped from the monsters in dungeons
The "Game Over on protag death" thing is very likely a holdover from mainline SMT, in which it makes total sense: SMT demons are not your friends, and if you bite it, they're not going to keep fighting for your cause. The only Persona game where this could kinda make sense is the PS2 versions of P3: That game is all about the social simulation to it's core, it's the same reason that you can't control allies in battle or have to talk to them to change their equipment
It's funny how SMT IV made it so MC dying doesn't result in a game over without any reason and then SMT V went back to the MC death = game over formula
6:31 If i remember correctly, in P5 they explain that its not just the Metaverse mumbo jumbo that makes them real weapons, but the users perception of them as real weapons. Thats why more "realistic" weapons do more damage than more cartoony ones. And for Akechi... well i guess he was really into Star Wars or smth

For the Akechi thing. It was intended as a clue that he was lying to you. The more realistic a weapon, the more effective. However, in his case he uses highly unrealistic weapons to clue the player in that he knows more about the cognitive world than he lets on. He can force a cognition on other people, which is the power he uses to fool the group with the prince getup and to enter a berserk state.
There is precedents for coins as weaponry within japanese media. I believe there are multiple instances of characters who have flicked coins at enemies as a form of attack, but the one who leaps to mind for me is the main character of the sukeban series Hana no Asuka-Gumi. If I recall right, her lucky coin is connected to a chain, allowing her more options for use and retrieval of it. It may be implied that Baofu either has large stacks of his coins, or that he has them attached on thin wires we just can't see, somewhat similar to the above example.
> Two times that Nyarly added Marin Karin on the thumbnail of two of his videos > Marin Karin is nowhere mentioned in any of them. Never change, Nyarly.
Yeah the timeslot system is weird sometimes, i never understood why doing activities like the laundromat or batting cage takes up an entire day, it basically just makes me not want to ever do them
I assume with the laundromat you wait until your laundry is done and if you leave it there without taking it out you either have to pay a fine or maybe the laundry gets stolen. Unsure how long of a time you can use the battling cages in real life.
5:36 well... Maybe not those rubber slings, but there's a reason David beat Goliath, and if you've seen videos of old slings being used. They pack quite the punch!
Regarding the dress code thing I say it depends on the school, as at least for the ones I went to as long as I wore my school uniform underneath no one cared what jacket I wore (I only remember my final high school even having a school themed jacket but even then I only wore it for a few months before switching back to my other jacket as my other one has zipper pockets which the school one doesn't (I like carrying things in my jacket pockets)).
Nyarly: *Questions the passage of time in Persona* Ah yes, do your best to remember the number one plot inconsistency for every piece of written, filmed, or game media… *nobody poops.*
Also the seemingly infinite storage space the protags have and complete immunity to the weight of them and how some items are completely preserved without any signs of spoiling or damage
As far as the "coins as a weapon" goes, if you place a coin between your thumb and middle finger and then snap, you can launch the coin. With enough practice, you can get some force behind them and aim pretty accuratly. I have a wooden door in my house with an imprint of a penny in it from me doing exactly this.
I think like half of these things have logical explanations. Like with Morgana, people do hear him several times. With the kid that sits behind Joker, he's probably the one that draws the Phantom Thief stuff on the blackboard since he's the closest student. He most likely suspects Joker is a Phantom Thief but he's a supporter so he doesn't care. That also explains why he never rats you out for making Molotov cocktails at your desk. Well, that and who would realistically rat out the guy making Molotovs that has a reputation for criminals activity? That's a good way to die.
Persona 1: surprised you didn't mention that Mark apparently brought an ax to school, most of the other starting weapons are at least reasonable, like swords from the fencing club, bows from the archery club, or easy to conceal razors Persona 2: presumably Jun is taking a page out of Tuxedo Mask's book and yeeting the flowers like darts. As for Baofu, iirc he's using some bs mystical martial arts technique to fling the coins with the force of a bullet
The Axe is supposed to be a fire axe he found in the hospital. That is why he is one of the two characters that is actually equipped in the first fight, alongside yukino, that actually carries her throwing knives on herself.
Flowers and coins as throwing weapons could just be a reference to Sailor Moon's Tuxedo Mask and the literary character Zenigata Heiji, an Edo period detective who'd use coins as a projectile. Inspector Zenigata from Lupin III is mentioned to be his descendant by possibly 6 generations.
Regarding Persona 4's weapons - I remember hearing it's a "the TV world makes it real" situation, like in P5's cognitive world with its weapons. For example, Chie's just imitating kung-fu movies for her moves, but that doesn't really stop her from being the physical powerhouse she is in the TV world (and looking ridiculous in the real world). As for Morgana's slingshot, I've always mentally hand-waved it as "Cognitive world Morgana is cartoonish, so a cartoonish weapon fits the bill". I'm more surprised that Iwai sells them in an airsoft shop.
13:21 - 13:32 This is a unironically a good criticism. It's bad world building when it feels like the entire world revolves around you, especially in an RPG. Things like this should be able to happen on their own at specific dates and the player should be punished for not starting the social link before those dates so that you actually feel bad for not having been there.
A not insignificant number of femc's social link ranks are tied to time and the story development of characters, and I'm not sure why they never brought that back. I think its preferable in many ways, as the whole cast can stay relevant and have character growth as part of the main story, instead of just losing relevance after they join.
In persona 5 just after the interrogation futaba activates the navigation app and seends both akechi and niijima to the metaverse without them knowing, but niijima leaves and akechi goes to kill the protag. Its believable that that futaba just used the app again and brought niijima back but akechi, i'd think be to far for the app to work. So why did it take akechi weeks later for him to think that the protag might be still alive? He would have noticed that day that he was in the metaverse.
According to Futaba, the point from which you enter the Metaverse will become sort of like a checkpoint. If you cross said checkpoint, you'll automatically leave the Metaverse. Akechi walked past that checkpoint when he left the interrogation room and was thus brought back to reality without any outside assistance. However, when the Nav activated, Sae was facing the opposite direction, hence why Futaba had to prepare an audio file beforehand that would instruct Sae to return to the interrogation room, thus allowing her to return to reality and rescue Ren.
I can make up justification for some of the questions here (some because I don't want to spend all the night rewatching, taking notes and answering) Why do the p5 members doesn't use exaggerated or fantasy weapons? easy, they didn't think about it, most of them are just normal guys so the most powerful weapon that they can think about is a normal revolver or shotgun, instead of, i dunno, THE NEO ARMSTRONG CYCLONE JET ARMSTRONG CANNON. There's also the how to hide it (since I believe they have to own the weapon IRL) and the accessibility. Why there isn't a litter box for Morgana? Easy, it either goes outside and does in a tree or smth, or just goes to the bathroom and does it's necessities there as we do (as I believe Morgana thinks as a human rather than as a cat) Why spending time with Elizabeth doesn't advance time? Probably because she's Igor's assistant she gets some kind of power that allows her to control either space/time so spending time with her requests doesn't hinder the protag.
Another logic issue with the names, the Japanese versions have a character limit of 3 for your first name and 3 for your last name. The only megaten I've played so far that I can write my own name in Japanese (It's a 5 letter word in English but in Japanese you can write it in 4) is SMT 5 Vengeance because the character limit is now 4. I guess every gaijin name just doesn't exist in Persona logic. Since I only play the Japanese versions of these games I've had to just make up a random Japanese name but I can still write stupid stuff if I get creative.
For me I find it weird in 3 and 4 that they fight in their school uniforms and I assume they wear it the next day when the uniforms likely get wear and tears from all the spells and physical attacks. I also agree that it's weird the other characters except MC doesn't wear their school uniforms.
The Spear of Destiny was rumored to be capable of inflicting wounds that could never heal. Even if they did try to use Recarm on her, it wouldn't work because of the power of rumors enhancing the spear

theres actually a theory for recovering from a million gun shots in uncharted and im sure it applies to CoD. apparently the blood on the screen is the players luck running out from shots missing him.
My favorite things that make no sense are taking on the reaper but still falling to a firearm in a cutscene or using attacks that are reflected, drained or nulled somehow landing and hurting the enemy
I like to think that the reason dude behind Joker's desk in school doesnt tell on him during the game, because he's afraid of Joker, due to him having a criminal record. That or he aint no snitch, probably wondering why tf does Joker have a cat in his desk, but doesnt care that much either.
For persona 3, why is Makoto the one who has to budget for weapons and equipment? We’re being supplied by a company! The least they could do is buy the stuff for us
I just want to point out that realistically a slingshot is going to do more damage than a thrown knife, because hitting the opponent with a knife will be inconsistent as to wether it will hit with the blade, stick in to the opponent or just tap them with the handle
In Persona 3 Reload, why do you need to wait for a month to put Taiyaki in the Fridge, even if you JUST TOOK OUT ONE?? JUST PUT IT IN THE SAME PLACE MAKOTO!
I like how 90% of these are either "it's a gameplay mechanic, don't think too much about it" or "the game literally gave you the reason, you just didn't pay attention" and 10% "wait, that's actually a good point"
I feel like another weird thing with P3's weapons is.... where do they come from? Im not just talking about Aigis's guns, i mean most of the weapons. Like, i can buy Kurosawa, say, swiping a knife that was confiscated from some thug to sell to you, or even a bow from some kind of lost and found, but how the hell is he getting fuckin' battle axes and spears? Was there some crazed axe murderer at tatsumi while we were in tartarus? Is he just sneaking into museums and stealing spears? Like where the fuck is this stuff coming from?
@@ned3and nah definitely but it's something that came to mind while watching this video about stuff that can just be brushed off with "dumb excuse for xyz" ^^"
One argument for the different weapon types in P5 could be that each of the Persona users have a certain affinity with certain weapon types/weapon iconography. Which could be either their own personal biases or the Collective Unconscious' "image" of what a rebellious thief of their type might use
For the p5 guns, I'm pretty sure Morgana said the guns had to look real because if they look real, people would believe they were real and thus would work in the metaverse. If you bring a model fat man, people would either A: recognize it's a weapon from a fictional series thus making it not work, or B: they don't know it's from fallout but still don't think it's a real gun which makes the fatman useless. Can't make an excuse for Akechi though, even with today's modern science, I don't think we'd have laser swords or laser guns
In P3 the nurse does give you actual medicine that helps you if you decline to drink his potion. And a lot of problems you have about getting a job or being allowed to do things without an adult around at 16-17 years old it's just how Japan works. I mean, some liberties are taken. You can't just apply for a job and magically decide to work on a random day 6 months after but those job magazines for quick short-time gigs are real things so you could work for a week or up to a couple months as a highschooler without 20 years of experience
17:38 In persona 3 at least, the explanation isn't stated in game, but from context we can guess that *Spoilers* The Death Shadow/Ryoji probably escapes automatically escapes when the protagonist dies, resulting in the world ending even if they're revived, which may be unlikely if everyone's favorite Appriser just popped out in full shadow form and started to kill everyone around him. After Ryoji escapes anyway, the logic stops making sense, but the gameplay mechanic has to continue for story reasons. Similarly, in Persona 5, Igor's being impersonated by Yaldaboath, who's looking for an excuse for you to fail in your "Rehabilitation" so that he can declare the game won by him, and take control over the world. Persona 4 really doesn't have an excuse though, unless Izanami is arbitrarily deciding that Yu lost the game if hje dies and taking his soul to Yomi? Maybe, but that feels slightly less...clear.
It also weid how in a year we make all these friends and connections we help save the world IN A YEAR. Why is it that at the start of P3, Akihiko needs a full month of recovery from a shadow attack but then later on just endure attacks from the likes of Nyx? While we are on the subject they seems to be just fine throing us into tartarus after battling the very same shadow while Akihiko is having his recovery period. P5. Kindly explain how did Haru gets into the metaverse, she obviously didn't have the app then and morgana is a cat, which she won't be able to understand. While we are talking about Morgana, He seems capable of entering and exiting metaverse on his own, as shown with Kamoshida and Okumura's pallice. So then why on earth do the PT need the complicated keywords if Morgana can straight up take them into the palice by possibly holding onto them, does this mean Morgana literelly kidnapped Haru and drag her to her father's pallice? At least her father's convenient mental shutdown can be attributed to Wakaba's research or something.

Of course, that opens the question of why Akechi can use blasters and beam swords, but hey.
it's still cognitive. Mona can turn into a bus because of a movie. why not lightsabers from a franchise or enough alien movies to see it as a weapon.
I think the idea is that Akechi can sort of brute force cognitive bullshit, like with the fake Metaverse outfit.
And Mona's slingshot?
It’s still weird how they are beaten by being stepped on despite that… actually scratch that wearing a spiked helmet is basically a necessity
@@korhol2065 Seems a bit redundant when the series already has Spiny, which rock both the spikes and a shell.
They also bite the player characters in Mario Wonder
@@Corundromwhat hints are these? genuinely curious
It has always seemed strange to me that in the entire year that it took the investigation team to solve the case, no one has bought the TV that they use to enter the shadow world.
I think Yosuke explained that the TV they enter is just a display model, the actual TV's they sell are in the back.
Then again, if the display model's the last one they have of a product, the store could sell that at a discount.
(My own 40' TV that I got to go with the PS4 to play Persona 5 was a former display model.)
I am 100% sure that even if they sold it they just need a TV in the same spot since I doubt the kidnapper bought a new TV for every victim
"You still ahve swords and boxing gloves and guns. But you also have... coins."
Ultrakill players, knowing coins are stronger than nuclear bombs: Yeah, and?
The armor shop in Persona 4 does not question where your party gets the weird materials. Hes just happy to craft stuff if you sell him enough mats dropped from the monsters in dungeons
Considering how he talks about Ann, Morgana is definitely not neutered, but he probably should be.
If they bring in a fatman i bet enemys immune to nuclear or absorb nuclear wouldn't be mind
Not if they count the Fat Man as an almighty 🤣
The "Game Over on protag death" thing is very likely a holdover from mainline SMT, in which it makes total sense: SMT demons are not your friends, and if you bite it, they're not going to keep fighting for your cause.
The only Persona game where this could kinda make sense is the PS2 versions of P3: That game is all about the social simulation to it's core, it's the same reason that you can't control allies in battle or have to talk to them to change their equipment
Changed in the 3DS game, thank GOODNESS!
XD
It's funny how SMT IV made it so MC dying doesn't result in a game over without any reason and then SMT V went back to the MC death = game over formula
If I remember my Persona 2 lore right, Baofu uses qi to launch them as fast as a bullet.
Probably Jun as well
6:31 If i remember correctly, in P5 they explain that its not just the Metaverse mumbo jumbo that makes them real weapons, but the users perception of them as real weapons. Thats why more "realistic" weapons do more damage than more cartoony ones. And for Akechi... well i guess he was really into Star Wars or smth
14:24 To be fair, Dojima does grill the protagonist about constantly going to the TV section at Junes when held for questioning at the police station
6:47 completely, ignoring Haru having a grenade launcher
Slingshots are deadly theres even a story about a kid killing a big ass dude in armor
True as that is, and amusing as your comment is, David uses a sling, not a slingshot.
Fun fact, there are some sling shots that can fire a pellet harder/faster than some handguns.

i'd also like to mention that on sundays and days off, you still only get a single daytime slot! you should theoretically have two daytime slots since you're not spending half your day at school!
Jun just tuxedo mask's the flowers
Came here to say this.
Adding to the P4 entering the TV thing, the only one I think you missed was that they never once mention security cameras that could easlily be watching that row of expensive and easy to steal TVs
yosuke is the son of the store manager though, so he probably knows how the security system actually works, and knows those tvs are a blindspot or deletes the footage or whatever
@@Corundrom Or they don't give a crap because it's a game XD They don't need to explain anything :P You just need to accept this wacky logic and enjoy the game :P
I do. I only came up with this thought while thinking about the logic procesd of the video itself.
You've forgotten the fact that a student can just carry millions of yen and nobody questions where has the money come from
“On the grind fellow student.”
But then somehow you're labeled broke when the plot demands it.
@@hisdudeness1835 I still wish I could give Yusuke 2 million yen in P5R. My boy will not have to suffer anymore.
@@hisdudeness1835 I remember thinking this when I did rank 6 of Chihiro's social link. I had around 7,000,000 yen at the time of that event, but the game didn't let me buy the mangas she showed interest in for her despite them being priced at only 18,000 yen.
Slingshots can be made to be lethal in real life and given the sling and projectile size of Morgana’s it could easily do.
If Morgana whispers is the meow more quiet
As a cat owner I can confirm cats have zero volume control.
Maybe a whisper comes out as chittering.
"This is real right?"

"Make sure you bring more Macca next time!"
"You still got business here?"
"Don't tell me you gonna change here..."
My favorite is the Persona parties seeming to have the idiot ball passed around when it comes to plot. The levels of daftness is absolutely magical
You forgot the fact that Fuuka has a weapon slot and a weapon type called bare fists if you hack her on the field
11:05 at least p3r changed that, so no more forgettinh your mp3 player at the dorm and wasting your sunday daytime
> Two times that Nyarly added Marin Karin on the thumbnail of two of his videos
> Marin Karin is nowhere mentioned in any of them.
Never change, Nyarly.
Also Okumura's palace doing it day 1 and how he will die at the end of the month
I see nyarly i click
Regarding the dress code thing I say it depends on the school, as at least for the ones I went to as long as I wore my school uniform underneath no one cared what jacket I wore (I only remember my final high school even having a school themed jacket but even then I only wore it for a few months before switching back to my other jacket as my other one has zipper pockets which the school one doesn't (I like carrying things in my jacket pockets)).
I could see Baofu flicking them with his thumbs ala Gotoh from HxH.
HE DOES
Three times!
"Heads or tails?!"
Nyarly: *Questions the passage of time in Persona*
Ah yes, do your best to remember the number one plot inconsistency for every piece of written, filmed, or game media… *nobody poops.*
15:38 this and the passage of time thing you mentioned are the things I relate to the most with your opinions this is probably my fav nyraly vid bro
Also have you ever seen Jorge Sprave or the slingshot channel? Irl slingshots can be DEVASTATING if made right
Persona 1: surprised you didn't mention that Mark apparently brought an ax to school, most of the other starting weapons are at least reasonable, like swords from the fencing club, bows from the archery club, or easy to conceal razors
Persona 2: presumably Jun is taking a page out of Tuxedo Mask's book and yeeting the flowers like darts.
Love the editing in this one!
The nature of Kaz's injury is the same regardless of the sport, too. That was interesting to me
Thats the best thumbnail of all time
13:21 - 13:32 This is a unironically a good criticism.
Given how hard Morgana simps over Ann, I think it's safe to assume that he has not been fixed.
I can make up justification for some of the questions here (some because I don't want to spend all the night rewatching, taking notes and answering)
Why do the p5 members doesn't use exaggerated or fantasy weapons? easy, they didn't think about it, most of them are just normal guys so the most powerful weapon that they can think about is a normal revolver or shotgun, instead of, i dunno, THE NEO ARMSTRONG CYCLONE JET ARMSTRONG CANNON. There's also the how to hide it (since I believe they have to own the weapon IRL) and the accessibility.
Why there isn't a litter box for Morgana? Easy, it either goes outside and does in a tree or smth, or just goes to the bathroom and does it's necessities there as we do (as I believe Morgana thinks as a human rather than as a cat)
Why spending time with Elizabeth doesn't advance time? Probably because she's Igor's assistant she gets some kind of power that allows her to control either space/time so spending time with her requests doesn't hinder the protag.
chat is this real
To be fair on the night club thing in Persona 4, they weren’t supposed to be there. The group snuck away from the intended field trip for that.
Babe wake up new Nyarly video just dropped
Bonus points that there is no P3R footage in it (used P3P instead).
For me I find it weird in 3 and 4 that they fight in their school uniforms and I assume they wear it the next day when the uniforms likely get wear and tears from all the spells and physical attacks. I also agree that it's weird the other characters except MC doesn't wear their school uniforms.
That only the Innocent Sin crew thought to use a heal spell on Maya when she got stabbed.

My favorite things that make no sense are taking on the reaper but still falling to a firearm in a cutscene or using attacks that are reflected, drained or nulled somehow landing and hurting the enemy
idk if anyone has already said this but morgana uses slingshots called CAT-a-pults as joke/pun that is the reason
What if kazushi and yuko are like schrodingers cat, they’re a part of all clubs until makoto observes them as a part of the club he joins

One argument for the different weapon types in P5 could be that each of the Persona users have a certain affinity with certain weapon types/weapon iconography. Which could be either their own personal biases or the Collective Unconscious' "image" of what a rebellious thief of their type might use
He really thinks we’re gonna forget about the P3R video
For the p5 guns, I'm pretty sure Morgana said the guns had to look real because if they look real, people would believe they were real and thus would work in the metaverse. If you bring a model fat man, people would either A: recognize it's a weapon from a fictional series thus making it not work, or B: they don't know it's from fallout but still don't think it's a real gun which makes the fatman useless. Can't make an excuse for Akechi though, even with today's modern science, I don't think we'd have laser swords or laser guns

I mean, some liberties are taken. You can't just apply for a job and magically decide to work on a random day 6 months after but those job magazines for quick short-time gigs are real things so you could work for a week or up to a couple months as a highschooler without 20 years of experience

In persona 3 at least, the explanation isn't stated in game, but from context we can guess that
*Spoilers*
The Death Shadow/Ryoji probably escapes automatically escapes when the protagonist dies, resulting in the world ending even if they're revived, which may be unlikely if everyone's favorite Appriser just popped out in full shadow form and started to kill everyone around him.

She followed Morgana for some reason and when he entered the MetaVerse she got pulled in like how the phones pulled Ann in at kamoshida's.
