In this video I look at and poke fun at some of weird, quirky, and downright illogical things in the Persona series. Video game logic rarely ever makes sense, but that's what makes talking about it so fun!

Big ups for the guy sitting behind joker in class watching him make molotovs and bombs and saying nothing
Nah. Kawakami coming to Joker’s house because he needs her to make him Molotovs and lock picks, and not questioning what they’re going to be used for while he chills in the same room and watches a movie. Or when he asks her to do his laundry and for some batshit insane reason the dirty laundry she ran through the wash comes out as a shiny new plate-mail armor.
If you don’t finish her Confidant link, I swear that poor woman spends her year absolutely terrified and confused as hell…
Imagine a Low-Knowledge Joker calling her up, giving her some Red Phosphorus, and jotting down hand-written instructions to make a miniature nuke, and she’s absolutely dumbfounded because, morality aside, this psychopath can write said directions so clearly an amateur like her can successfully follow them, but he’s somehow still failing science class…
@@kurtisharen Well games logic are dumb sometimes and anime logic is way more absurd than conventional mechanic in games XD
That kid is probably like "This guy's gonna kill me if I say anything."
Dumbest thing is everyone having a mental breakdown when the main character is wounded instead of just using a Revival Bead or Balm of Life
It's just a classic RPG staple
@@donovanlocust1106 Not really

The whole 'Never reload their weapons' thing actually is played seriously in a rather smart way in Persona 5 SPECIALLY in Royal. Because their powers comes from the collective unconsciousness and what people think and assume become real, when you point a gun at them the enemy naturally assumes the gun has bullets in it, and therefor it does.
why don't they pretend they are reloading their guns and have infinite bullets in 1 battle
@@ShinMegamiTenseiEnjoyer probably because the model gun shop doesn't sell gun magazines, where there is no distinction between real and fake
One of the changes from the original to Royal that I absolutely adored. Not only does it makes guns a lot more usable since you don't run out of bullets but the explanation for it makes perfect sense in the in game logic.
I can actually explain the bar thing.
Naoto says they haven't actually served alcohol in years.
It's a nonalcoholic bar
Also, Morgana is a cognitive being. He doesn't need shots, litter boxes, etc. and judging from the way he acts around Ann, definitely not spayed or neutered
Let's be honest, Morgana is a fucking demon.
@@demi-femme4821 Well in P1 you can get spell cards(tarot arcana) from domons and zombies(not shadows like in P3) and create a persona form them (can't use cards as personas, you need fuse 2 cards to get one ) :P And yes, Morgana was a creation from shadow.
@@demi-femme4821 P5 shadows are the everyday demons so probably
When the MC enters the Velvet room, it just seems like theyvare staring off intk the distance to everyone else. Yet no one ever thinks to check up on them, despite them zoning out for minutes at a time almost ever time they go into a dungeon
You could explain it by saying the companions are thinking the MC is just kind of metidating to get into the right mindset to lead the party, which you could say they are actually doing by adjusting their personas. I used to do that on my smoke breaks before service when I was working in a restaurant, just take a few minutes to focus and call upon my customer facing mask, or persona if you will.
Time works differently in the Velvet Room, it's been explained in multiple Persona games. We can also headcanon that the only times the protags actually enter the Velvet Room is when their party members acknowledge it, meaning the hours upon hours of you trying to fuse the perfect Yoshitsune is non-canon.
@@altnova6643 In P1 Velvet Room is located on the shopping center XD And the whole party can have max 3 persona in them and enter the Velvet Room. Makes them have the same power as MC because they given that power directly from Philemon.
@@ned3and P1 and 2 were trippy
Actually, I think Ryuji or Ann questions it during Madarame's palace... or I may be wrong.
About Aigis's name, Toriumi actually does question it but brushes it off as just being a foreign name
Luckily Ikutsuki gave her name as Aigis. Now imagine if he had never named her, so Toriumi would call the new student as "7th Generation Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapon" (without comas of course)
Challenge run idea: Make an SMT video without people asking for the Persona 3 Reload video
Difficulty Impossible
He DM me and told me that it’s impossible😂
That's like saying, "Make a JoJo video without saying Araki Forgot."
the player can only use rumors in persona 2 to affect the prices at shops, hunt a select few demons, and slightly change the layout for a single dungeon. meanwhile, the villains can use it to start a whole conspiracy to end the world.
it is also never explained why they need to hear the rumors from rumormongers to spread them. why can they not just make shit up. why are they not spread rumors such as "ah yes this one shop sells real weapons that deal 999,999,999 damage for 1 yen each and they have unlimited stock so they never run out" "the furher is actually dead after all" "the masked circle disbanded" "nyarlathotep does not exist"
0:24 - The Superstar Saga remake actually addressed that. Turns out Goombas are casual boulder-busters. A totally normal Goomba (who would go on to become a Captain) was able to headbutt a big rock into chunks with two bonks. The rest of Koopa Troop has to scale around that, since the Goombas are totally bottom rung.
It’s still weird how they are beaten by being stepped on despite that… actually scratch that wearing a spiked helmet is basically a necessity
@@korhol2065 Seems a bit redundant when the series already has Spiny, which rock both the spikes and a shell.
They also bite the player characters in Mario Wonder
The armor shop in Persona 4 does not question where your party gets the weird materials. Hes just happy to craft stuff if you sell him enough mats dropped from the monsters in dungeons
It has always seemed strange to me that in the entire year that it took the investigation team to solve the case, no one has bought the TV that they use to enter the shadow world.
I think Yosuke explained that the TV they enter is just a display model, the actual TV's they sell are in the back.
Then again, if the display model's the last one they have of a product, the store could sell that at a discount.
(My own 40' TV that I got to go with the PS4 to play Persona 5 was a former display model.)
I am 100% sure that even if they sold it they just need a TV in the same spot since I doubt the kidnapper bought a new TV for every victim
Morgana is a well trained and polite cat, and uses leblanc's toilet like everyone else
If they bring in a fatman i bet enemys immune to nuclear or absorb nuclear wouldn't be mind
Not if they count the Fat Man as an almighty 🤣
6:47 completely, ignoring Haru having a grenade launcher
My favorite is the Persona parties seeming to have the idiot ball passed around when it comes to plot. The levels of daftness is absolutely magical
If I remember my Persona 2 lore right, Baofu uses qi to launch them as fast as a bullet.
Probably Jun as well
"You still ahve swords and boxing gloves and guns. But you also have... coins."
Ultrakill players, knowing coins are stronger than nuclear bombs: Yeah, and?
6:31 If i remember correctly, in P5 they explain that its not just the Metaverse mumbo jumbo that makes them real weapons, but the users perception of them as real weapons. Thats why more "realistic" weapons do more damage than more cartoony ones. And for Akechi... well i guess he was really into Star Wars or smth
Fun fact, there are some sling shots that can fire a pellet harder/faster than some handguns.

@@Ramsey276one how else do you think David oneshot Goliath with a Slingshot in the bible?
@@marcjehle2480 books exaggerating?
XD
@@marcjehle2480I believe it was only a sling
@@velvetbutterfly and slings at the time worked by swinging the stone, letting it gain momentum and then release it, at which moment it can have rather high speeds. And since a rock is often heavier than a bullet, it can still have a similar impact to a bullet
Jun just tuxedo mask's the flowers
Came here to say this.
For the Akechi thing. It was intended as a clue that he was lying to you. The more realistic a weapon, the more effective. However, in his case he uses highly unrealistic weapons to clue the player in that he knows more about the cognitive world than he lets on. He can force a cognition on other people, which is the power he uses to fool the group with the prince getup and to enter a berserk state.
The "Game Over on protag death" thing is very likely a holdover from mainline SMT, in which it makes total sense: SMT demons are not your friends, and if you bite it, they're not going to keep fighting for your cause.
The only Persona game where this could kinda make sense is the PS2 versions of P3: That game is all about the social simulation to it's core, it's the same reason that you can't control allies in battle or have to talk to them to change their equipment
Changed in the 3DS game, thank GOODNESS!
XD
It's funny how SMT IV made it so MC dying doesn't result in a game over without any reason and then SMT V went back to the MC death = game over formula
"This is real right?"
***amazing trippy background music plays***
"Make sure you bring more Macca next time!"
"You still got business here?"
"Don't tell me you gonna change here..."
You forgot the fact that Fuuka has a weapon slot and a weapon type called bare fists if you hack her on the field
while i *could* say that you missed that persona 3 reload fixed the "returning to the dorm skips your day off" thing, i would like to point out that both persona 4 and 5 ALSO do it! leave the dojima household or leblanc on a day off, decided you want to go back in? it's evening now!
i'd also like to mention that on sundays and days off, you still only get a single daytime slot! you should theoretically have two daytime slots since you're not spending half your day at school!
There is precedents for coins as weaponry within japanese media. I believe there are multiple instances of characters who have flicked coins at enemies as a form of attack, but the one who leaps to mind for me is the main character of the sukeban series Hana no Asuka-Gumi. If I recall right, her lucky coin is connected to a chain, allowing her more options for use and retrieval of it. It may be implied that Baofu either has large stacks of his coins, or that he has them attached on thin wires we just can't see, somewhat similar to the above example.
11:05 at least p3r changed that, so no more forgettinh your mp3 player at the dorm and wasting your sunday daytime
I could see Baofu flicking them with his thumbs ala Gotoh from HxH.
HE DOES
Three times!
"Heads or tails?!"
Yeah the timeslot system is weird sometimes, i never understood why doing activities like the laundromat or batting cage takes up an entire day, it basically just makes me not want to ever do them
I assume with the laundromat you wait until your laundry is done and if you leave it there without taking it out you either have to pay a fine or maybe the laundry gets stolen. Unsure how long of a time you can use the battling cages in real life.
I see nyarly i click
Thats the best thumbnail of all time
As far as the "coins as a weapon" goes, if you place a coin between your thumb and middle finger and then snap, you can launch the coin. With enough practice, you can get some force behind them and aim pretty accuratly. I have a wooden door in my house with an imprint of a penny in it from me doing exactly this.
Persona 1: surprised you didn't mention that Mark apparently brought an ax to school, most of the other starting weapons are at least reasonable, like swords from the fencing club, bows from the archery club, or easy to conceal razors
Persona 2: presumably Jun is taking a page out of Tuxedo Mask's book and yeeting the flowers like darts. As for Baofu, iirc he's using some bs mystical martial arts technique to fling the coins with the force of a bullet
The Axe is supposed to be a fire axe he found in the hospital. That is why he is one of the two characters that is actually equipped in the first fight, alongside yukino, that actually carries her throwing knives on herself.
Given how hard Morgana simps over Ann, I think it's safe to assume that he has not been fixed.
Another logic issue with the names, the Japanese versions have a character limit of 3 for your first name and 3 for your last name. The only megaten I've played so far that I can write my own name in Japanese (It's a 5 letter word in English but in Japanese you can write it in 4) is SMT 5 Vengeance because the character limit is now 4. I guess every gaijin name just doesn't exist in Persona logic. Since I only play the Japanese versions of these games I've had to just make up a random Japanese name but I can still write stupid stuff if I get creative.
To be fair on the night club thing in Persona 4, they weren’t supposed to be there. The group snuck away from the intended field trip for that.
He really thinks we’re gonna forget about the P3R video
That only the Innocent Sin crew thought to use a heal spell on Maya when she got stabbed.
The Spear of Destiny was rumored to be capable of inflicting wounds that could never heal. Even if they did try to use Recarm on her, it wouldn't work because of the power of rumors enhancing the spear
@@nataliecoronado4206 they didn't know that until after they tried using Dia and then Nyarlathotep explained why it didn't work.
3:14 "YOU CALL SHOOTING A COIN A MARTIAL ART!"
"Hey, as long as it works."
I believe that the biggest twist in logic is that a second-year high school student is capable of: having perfect scores, juggling several part-time jobs, excelling at sports and food challenges, and managing an average of 20 relationships where in the end everybody loves him and if he's charming enough, dating 10 girls (some of which are your teammates) without anyone realizing it. Oh, and saving the world of course.
A team of kids with rocket launchers might clash with stealth missions.
Nyarly: *Questions the passage of time in Persona*
Ah yes, do your best to remember the number one plot inconsistency for every piece of written, filmed, or game media… *nobody poops.*
I never realised junpei had a treyarch hat
One thing too, why nobody uses his skills outside combat? The only time I recall was using Dia when Maya was about to pass out
Jesus Christ that Thumbnail nearly sent me back 20 years and I'm only 23
How does your party members in P5R move with Joker when he uses his grabbling hook? It would be pretty logical if everyone had it, but they don't. We have only seen Joker using it, others just magically appear with you.
Ryuji does react saying it felt awesome during the tutorial hook thing in the first palace but then later they say only Joker has it so it make no sense.
Maybe it's implied he throws it to them and lets them use it to catch up
The nature of Kaz's injury is the same regardless of the sport, too. That was interesting to me
About the flowers... Allergies. All of them. Damn demons can't even live on earth because of all the pollen, poor sods.
15:38 this and the passage of time thing you mentioned are the things I relate to the most with your opinions this is probably my fav nyraly vid bro
My issue is like first time Takaya shoots it’s like
Damn. That was shocking!
Then he shoot’s again on a different day and it’s like.
Wow, why’d he do that?
Bro after the first time you would think they’d have PTSD and be running the second he shows up, or maybe be wearing bulletproof armor.
I think he even walks around town occasionally open carrying like it’s an accessory
So P3 is basically has basically Schroedingers Clubroom, meaning only when observed they become real and the way they are in the game. Sure
In P3 the nurse does give you actual medicine that helps you if you decline to drink his potion. And a lot of problems you have about getting a job or being allowed to do things without an adult around at 16-17 years old it's just how Japan works.
I mean, some liberties are taken. You can't just apply for a job and magically decide to work on a random day 6 months after but those job magazines for quick short-time gigs are real things so you could work for a week or up to a couple months as a highschooler without 20 years of experience
So for the weapon thing in Persona 5 one of the main reasona why everyone's weapons are set is mainly due to symbolism. Each character's weapons are desined to reflect a bit of thier personality. Some examples: Ann uses and SMG that targets randomly as she can't control who is attracted to her. Yusuke uses an assault rifle with a scope to show due to his steady hands from being an artist. Akechi uses toy weapons as a way to show that he knows more about the Metaverse than he lets on. And when he goes back to "everyday" Akechi, his sword is now this blade with spikes on one side made to inflict maximum pain.
As for an in game reason, not sure. But the characters DO get their weapons when they awaken so the knowledge probably comes with the transformation.
The first thing I thought of when that Aragaki thing was happening was "Oh, my party absolutely has healing moves and even if they didn't, it would be realistic to expect them to in-lore, plus I have a ton of health items. It's even the dark hour right now, so there's not really any excuse not to use a persona or even health item."
This was followed by the thought "They can heal injuries. Are they stupid?" like I was straight out of the aslume.
If we look at Arena's movesets or even the movies it seems like they don't actually have healing moves and it was simply for game balancing.
Ken having healing skills feels like it was meant to be something he unlocked from his second awakening after Shinji dies
I didn't finish Haru's social link, but there's dialogue where they talk about elephant dung coffee, and during the conversation it moves to Morgana, and there is the implication that they could get cat dung coffee from him.
Surprised that scene wasn't referenced ever again.
I feel like another weird thing with P3's weapons is.... where do they come from? Im not just talking about Aigis's guns, i mean most of the weapons. Like, i can buy Kurosawa, say, swiping a knife that was confiscated from some thug to sell to you, or even a bow from some kind of lost and found, but how the hell is he getting fuckin' battle axes and spears? Was there some crazed axe murderer at tatsumi while we were in tartarus? Is he just sneaking into museums and stealing spears? Like where the fuck is this stuff coming from?
Dumb excuse to just a weapon shop that is all XD
@@ned3and nah definitely but it's something that came to mind while watching this video about stuff that can just be brushed off with "dumb excuse for xyz" ^^"
@@faultyvideos2215 In P1 weapon shop was near the grocery shop in the mall XD The same as Velvet room and casino XD
damn, Yukari's cake tho~ & they downgrade her in Reload, shame
I want to add in Persona 3 FES onwards where you already date all the SEES girls (or most of the boys in P3P) and do the deed in their rooms, yet no one heard or even felt something.
Like they only get jealous when you group up them together in Tartarus. But no one bring that up in Daytime
And also Aigis' romance ending.....
Additionally Teddie's incosistent height. Does his human body just shrunk or be non existence when inside costume?
Jun from Persona 2 throws flowers like Lee from Tekken, the logic doesn't exactly work but it's still cool.
In persona 5 just after the interrogation futaba activates the navigation app and seends both akechi and niijima to the metaverse without them knowing, but niijima leaves and akechi goes to kill the protag. Its believable that that futaba just used the app again and brought niijima back but akechi, i'd think be to far for the app to work. So why did it take akechi weeks later for him to think that the protag might be still alive? He would have noticed that day that he was in the metaverse.
According to Futaba, the point from which you enter the Metaverse will become sort of like a checkpoint. If you cross said checkpoint, you'll automatically leave the Metaverse. Akechi walked past that checkpoint when he left the interrogation room and was thus brought back to reality without any outside assistance. However, when the Nav activated, Sae was facing the opposite direction, hence why Futaba had to prepare an audio file beforehand that would instruct Sae to return to the interrogation room, thus allowing her to return to reality and rescue Ren.
Don't sleep on actual slingshots. There's a reason slings were used as weapons in war for a long time, and slingshots aren't much different. The actual weapon ones can easily injure or worse. A chunk of metal going even somewhat fast is very dangerous.
I was just reflecting on how I had a wrist rocket as a kid and how that was probably a terrible parenting decision. I split a Pepsi can in half with that thing lol
Slings and slingahots work very differently, and both are very fucking lethal, comlerable with smoothbore muskets on the high end.
The reason the Phantom Thiefs use realistic weapons is because the more realistic a weapon looks the more effective it is, Morgana explains this
The two things I didn’t quite understand in P4 is, 1: there was a part near the end after you find out who the killer was, they chase him but he escapes into the tv. You COULD jump in and try to get him, but for reasons, they say you wouldn’t know where his location or something would be and you’d get lost-makes some sense I guess, so why couldn’t Yu BUY the main tv that they all used in the department-considering if money’s not an issue since they’re fighting and selling all the materials from enemies, and just had it secretly hid somewhere that way only they knew where it was and could access it at any given time, or would it’s location change if they did that?
And 2: Dojima’s behavior before and after Yu gets that letter 😑🤦♂️
So Yu came to town and the literal next day, new cast lady dies and is on a telephone pole, then later on, a girl your new best friend who has a crush on also dies, but when there was others that was kidnapped, Yu and the rest was able to save them and try to prevent other people from being thrown in, since they eventually knew how the killer was doing it, and Dojima keeps getting suspicious of his own nephew’s actions and is thinking he’s either involved in some way or form or must think he’s doing the killings himself or something 🤷♂️. ‘huh, my nephew became friends with the innkeeper’s daughter, the local punk, a celebrity that just came to town, has been aquatinted with the detective prince, his home room teacher was murdered and some creepy kid confessed to doing the murders, and he was ALWAYS in the department store at the tv section WAY too many times, HMMMMMM… VERY SUSPICIOUS INDEED 🤔🤔🤔
Oh, what’s this letter addressed to HIM and I’m reading it over his shoulder and see he’s been somehow involved with the cases?! 😱THAT’S IT-TO THE HOLDING AREA FOR YOU YOUNG MAN!!’ 😡👉
And leave Nanako by herself while he interrogates Yu and will NOT listen to what we say regardless of truth or lie, UNTIL Nanako gets kidnapped is when he THEN decides to trust us again. Dojima, don’t get me wrong, but you’re an IDIOT. 😡🤦♂️
Whenever they do a remake/remaster/whatever of 4, I hope to god they don’t make him so questionable with his decision making AND recklessness or something, because even on replays I always skip the interrogating scene as it pissed me off too much… 🤦♂️
in persona 5 they flip-flop between "oh so you're a phantom theft?" and "everyone knows who the phantom thieves are, it's public knowledge" in the same way the father will stay alive until rank 7 or the dead mmo will only shut down at rank 9, everyone and their mother knows who the phantom thieves are, but if someone needs to find out at a certain rank, it's like a state-secret that was never heard about by anyone in the world
and with some items like headache pills healing HP kinda makes sense, but how does a hobbyst blacksmith that can make magic weapons from otherworld creature bodyparts just so happens to live in a rural town in a market street that stated multple times to be dying because the walmart down the road? and better yet, why is the hobbyest black that knows how to make magickal weapon from otherworldly creature's bodypart not questioning where these highschool kids are finding severed arms and demon horns with a murder on the loose and the police in a year-long quarantine, and even better yet, how does he knows to make a magickal fire katana or a sport shoe that and kicks ghosts with a possessed plate or a 3-foot wide tongue
No one is gonna talk how only Mc are able to have all the weapons, armor, items and no one ask where he let all stuff Saved?
15:00 The Phantom Thieves talking in public doesn't seem a big deal even with maximum nitpicker's caps on. They don't talk at their school, and Tokyo is a huge, crowded place. Random passerby don't know or care anything about these kids yappin'. Even if a random passerby DID stop and listen in, it would sound like kids planning their own fun adventure, or talking about an anime, or pretending to be the Phantom Thieves. If you pass by some kids talking about Spider-Man's next escapade in the Marvel universe, there's a 99% they're just fans or inspired, even if you're actually in the scenario where that's really Peter Parker.
11:33 Virtues Last Reward moment
The thing that really bothered me was that the Phantom Thieves went from trying to use every trick they can think of to "oh no! The Holy Grail is healing! Better attack some more." Clearly it was done to transition to the story's climax, but I would've at least hoped the writers would come up with an explanation for why they couldn't attack the obvious weak point so the thieves don't look like morons for almost dying over this.
17:30 Junpei and Shinji lost their high counter coin flips.
and Shinji took two shots which used up his Endure
12:55 he's obviously rubbing one out
In Persona 3 Reload, why do you need to wait for a month to put Taiyaki in the Fridge, even if you JUST TOOK OUT ONE?? JUST PUT IT IN THE SAME PLACE MAKOTO!
14:59 The same can be said for the phantom thieves who HAVE TO GO TO A SPECIFIC LOCATION! Yaldoboth really is an idiot if he let the public not notice the patterns of the thieves.
11:40 Damn, Atlus heard you and now we can join only the racing team, even though I prefer the kendo universe
For the p5 guns, I'm pretty sure Morgana said the guns had to look real because if they look real, people would believe they were real and thus would work in the metaverse. If you bring a model fat man, people would either A: recognize it's a weapon from a fictional series thus making it not work, or B: they don't know it's from fallout but still don't think it's a real gun which makes the fatman useless. Can't make an excuse for Akechi though, even with today's modern science, I don't think we'd have laser swords or laser guns
How come they insist on wearing their school uniforms every time they go off to battle? You'd think they wouldn't want them to get damaged.
In 1 and 2 they don't have time to change
In 3 it's a school club so may as well follow conduct (in reload they do get combat gear)
In 4 they use it to smuggle in their weapons and stuff (why their normal clothes wouldn't work I don't know)
They aren't coins, they're Pogs!
10:29 made me laugh way, WAY harder than I should have. I think it was more the way he said it than his choice of words but still, I was losing it entirely.
I always think where tf the protagonists are stuffing all that money in. The guy is just walking around with a bag with ¥999999999 yen collected as loose change? Do they deposit it on an ATM, and if so, no one noticed the strange deposits? I feel like they'd have japanese IRS trouble way sooner.
5:30 a sling shot could still do viable damage...now a gun would still be a more VALABE option but ive seen videos of people making slingshots that can break people
s bones (at least using a test dummy to measure the power of a sling shot)...so it can be a weapon if it holds enough force
A slingshot is lethal without too much effort, and it can be fired with reasonable frequency, and good accuracy out to about 20m with some practice. Its not exactly competitive with a handgun, but a viable alternative.
The coins as weapons reminds me of mistborn, it’s also fairly common in Japanese games.
5:47 That is one tiny-ass gun.
Named after the hummingbird!
XD
1:47 This isn’t America so we have little to worry about.
One moment I remember in p5 that idk if people talk about it but when they confronted the cleaner Ann literally calls out Yusuke by his name and I just thought to myself did she forget about code names ????
A sling shot can for sure crack your skull and Morganas is almost as big as him and he’s like 3ft
Maybe flowers just... hit hard due to some japanese proverb, metaphor or something along those lines. Maybe it's just that rumors made the flower hit like a truck instead of like a tickle. Who knows?
“Where does Morgana take a crap?” - Nyarly 2024
Hey, roses are a viable throwing weapon. (See: Dudley from Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike)
I thought of something for the one a out how only the male P3 protagonist can get over colds by using the bathroom, there is 1 large difference that my brain goes to between what's in the 2 bathrooms, urinals, the p3 school has healing urinals and I will take no other answer until proven wrong... this is quite possibly the dumbest comment I have ever made
What about items? Is the main character holding them all or are they evenly divide amongst party members? How is it decided who is holding what and how much? If the main character is holding everything (which seems likely as they have everything on them at all times when away from the rest of the party) and another party member uses something, is the MC passing it to them for them to use?
Also, how is the MC able to change the equipment or outfits of the other party members when they're on the other side of town? is the MC just making a mental note to give them stuff to swap out to? Also, why are the other party member just going along with costume changes? Do they like being dress-up dolls?
Who's gonna tell him
Elements dropping in and out of existence between games will be my pick for this.
Where are the demons? I never understood why generic Shadows even existed, let alone as the main enemies.
Also, what's up with the "your Persona is just a tamed version of your Shadow" thing? As if Personas were at all like that in P1-P2EP.
@@demi-femme4821 From the P3 Club Book and iirc one of the optional dialogues with one of the twins in P5, it's implied the images and mythology of Gods and Demons are cognitive identities imposed onto Shadows, which are just surpressed pieces of Nyx that Earth's life has lived with for so long they've eventually merged with the part of the mind representing unconsciously buried thoughts.
If you notice in P1 and P2, demons don't actually appear until the events where the world of the Collective Unconscious starts influencing or "bleeding" into the real world (The activation of the DEVA system, Nyarlathotep's rumor curse on Sumaru City)
or the fact that in persona 4 as you reach the top of a dungeon the person you’re saving is coincidentally there waiting for days and days instead of being taken over by their shadow😭
I assume time moves slower there. My question is there any toilets in the dungeon or kitchen that they don't starve to death?
Throwing flowers like darts XD Like Takeda in Salor Moon XD
The Phantom thieves do not bring nuclear weapons because they do not want to reduce the shadow by mistake and also die because of nuclear weapons to attend them and also think they are loud to themselves for one type of arms is really the issue of preference when you prefer to use a particular weapon because you are having fun or easy to use
A sling shot can kill you if you have an iron ball so you’re wrong about that
Or aiming at the right spot.
Video game logic isn't IRL logic, video game logic is why can't Mario jump as high in the RPGs as he can in the mainline platformers? Nevermind Japanese highschoolers getting their hands on guns in their highschools. The lack of reloading was explained by DMC, just use your own magic energy as ammo, anytime you question why people don't reload ask if they have magic then assume they took the Devil May Cry approach.
I know this is only Persona but this is still Megaten related and something that has always irked me. OG Strange Journey required you to use Macca for healing. I get why you have to pay for the lab because Macca is used to synthetize items and it has a few generic items that could theoretically be indefinitely used if the Shwarzwelt didn't have anything usable. But the sickbay is literally just all or nothing, what would they even do if the Shwarzwelt didn't have the necessary supplies? There aren't any reusable resources that we know of and the room doesn't look like there's anywhere you can store medicine. They mention treatment beds when the Delphinus parasite hits but treating illnesses will only get so far. what happens if somebody's arm gets blown off? What happens if anybody suffers ANY kind of injury deeper than the surface level? Now that I think of it there's no place for any surgery to be preformed and once again, nowhere to store reliable healing resources. I get that the initial launch into the Shwarzwelt was only intended to gain information for a later more prepared launch but like, wouldn't you want to be MORE prepared for when you don't know anything about what's inside there than after you do? Luckily Redux kind of fixes all of this by making healing free which means that Macca is not involved and would be usable without it.
Free health care wins once again. Surprised the queue for the sickbay isn't long.
I think you can handwave the flowers and coins with the fact that Personas basically make their users superhuman lol
jun's flowers are tuxedo mask core
So how does Makoto’s persona go from Orpheus, to Thanatos (makes sense both are linked to the Greek underworld) and fuse together into MESSIAH, who is also called JESUS CHRIST
Probably metaphorically relating the role of the Christian messiah to allow salvation of humans from their sins through repentence (this is also known as spiritual resurrection or rebirth), to Orpheus' attempt to save Eurydice from the underworld.
